“Carrie was absolutely amazing with Chase. They sent daily updates with photos, followed all care instructions perfectly, and my pup came home happy. I’ll definitely rebook—thank you for the peace of mind! Mike & Family”

About: I’m a dedicated dog lover with experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I grew up with both dogs and horses, and our animals were always treated as part of the family. I understand how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your pet while you’re away. I’ve cared for everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a slower, gentler pace. Every dog is different, and I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and personalities to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. At home, I have two Australian Cattle Dogs, Sydney (4) and Roo (2), both rescues. They’re active, social, and always happy to welcome new companions. Before them, I raised my dog Cooper from 7 weeks old through 14 wonderful years. I also regularly provide in-home dog sitting for friends and family, with stays ranging from a few days to several weeks. I work from home which provides me plenty of time to keep an eye on your pup and let them out for potty breaks. I also try to work in some play time during the day where I can. My dogs insist the ball is thrown for them a lot! I feed my my own dogs around 6:30/7am and 3:30/4pm daily. I have a nice big yard with a privacy fence and 2 well socialized, friendly and playful dogs. I have good size kitchen and living room areas that can be gated off the pups need some quiet time to themselves.
“Eileen is the best!! A true dog lover! She sends the best pictures and did whatever she could to make make my baby comfortable. She treating my dog like her own. Couldn’t have been more reprieved and happy to find such a great sitter.”

“This is the 2nd time we’ve left our dog, Riley, with Whitney and he seemed very happy staying with her. She communicated with us well and sent pictures. We would be happy to recommend her for anyone needing to leave their dog in a loving home.”

“Tracy and her family took good care of our pup. She sent photos every day and he seemed very happy. He especially enjoyed her spacious fenced in backyard where he could run around and play. Would highly recommend.”

“Julie and Ben took wonderful care of Nova, spoiling her with lots of attention and snuggling. They sent daily pictures and updates that were so appreciated! I'd highly recommend them!”

“Cindy did a great job with Vinny! We did a meet and greet beforehand and Vinny got to know her other 2 dogs. He came back super tired and had fun hanging with some new friends!”

“Another successful vacation for my family in the books! I couldn't have done it without Amy and Chris watching our fur baby Chewy. Amy is amazing! I love the updates she gives us and I know he's getting the same care as if he were at home. Our dogs get along great and I love that, makes for easy dog sitting. Thanks again Amy!”

“Ann was amazing. She took care of our senior dog with some medical needs and aging and gave Louise exactly what she needed with such positive kindness. We got pictures and videos and felt like our sweet little old lady dog was truly in the best care during our trip. I will definitely use Ann again because she was incredible.”
“Liss was extremely flexible and such a perfect person for our slightly anxious Yorkie. Her gentle and relaxed way was perfect for our little guy hoping to have Joey stay with her again.”

“Can't say enough great things about Denise & Michael. My pup has visited twice so far, and they treat him as if he was their very own! I'm allowed total peace of mind when I travel. My ONLY complaint is that they don't live closer. 😊”

“River was so excellent with my Joe-Joe bean. I am booking her again when I have my new puppy. Sadly, Joe-Joe crossed the rainbow bridge a few weeks ago, but she made his quality of life at the end so much better, I can never fully express my gratitude.”
“Shelby went above and beyond for our baby Oakley while he stayed with her! I had never used Roger before so was naturally a little worried, but she made this experience really great for us! She made sure he got lots of dog park time and exercise and always sent us adorable pictures of his time with her. I would highly recommend Shelby to any dog parents out there looking for a loving, fun, and friendly place to leave their pup! I can tell Oakley had the time of his life!”

“Cheyann is awesome! Our 2 dogs Tucker & Roxy (one medium & energetic / one small & shy) love staying with Cheyann. She accommodates them both. We never worry for a second and know that they are in wonderful hands getting great care. Highly recommend!”

“Lucia and her fiance were amazing with my two big dogs. Very flexible, great communication and I got lots of pics and videos. Zeus and Raven loved playing in their huge yard and came home happy and tired!”

“Jared and Candace truly love spending time with our dog, send us pictures and updates, and make us wish they were our neighborhood dog sitter. But still, we seek them out when we’re visiting from out of town because we get to feel like our pup isn’t missing out on an adventure, he’s having one of his own!”

“Marcela was so great! I wish I could give more than 5 stars! She took care of my young puppy with a lot of patience and kindness! She updated me constantly while we were out of town! Lastly, there was an ice storm and our flights got canceled. She was super understanding and kind towards the whole thing! She really made my life and trip so much easier and I’m very grateful I found her!”

Allison was a great caregiver for my two pups! Excellent communication, asked good questions at our meet & greet and shared many photos & updates. She clearly made my dogs feel comfortable in her home and they had a great time! I look forward to working with Allison again!

I have a giant breed dog who is relatively sensitive to his environment and he LOVED staying with Tracy for boarding! I've never seen him so immediately comfortable in a sitter's home before. Her dogs are playful and sweet and she and her husband took amazing care of Townes. I would recommend her to anybody!

Our dogs love Angela! We have a 12 year old lab and a 4 year old lab (who never runs out of energy). This lab doesn't like daycares and gets anxious but she RUNNNSSS up to Angela's door when we go there. And Angela takes her running with her! It's bittersweet to leave a great review because she's earned it but I don't want to compete for her availability. 🤣

Vanessa and her daughters took such wonderful care of Cooper! ❤️ We made a last-minute reservation, and they were incredibly attentive to every detail, making sure he felt loved, comfortable, and happy. It was clear from the moment we met them how much they genuinely care for the pets they watch. I received pictures and updates throughout the day, along with notifications about everything they did, which gave me so much peace of mind. 🤗 Knowing Cooper was in such caring hands made all the difference. I am so thankful we found Vanessa and her family, and I would absolutely trust them with Cooper again. Highly recommend!

Morgan and Jordan were very kind to our dog, Lucius, treating him like family. They gave him plenty of snuggles and kept us updated with photos. Their fenced in backyard is a bonus since we don’t have one. Their dogs are sweet and accepting of other dogs. We would definitely request to book again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
