“Barb is amazing!!! Looks like my babies had a blast. I love getting videos from her and seeing how happy and comfortable my boys look! I would definitely bring them with her again, she is the best!”

“Angela was so easy to work with and kept me informed of the fun the pups were having. And the best part (besides how go with the flow she was) our dogs ate dog tired, which is very rare! 10/10 will book again!”

“Shelley took amazing care of Pickles. This was our first time leaving Pickles and Shelley made the experience as easy possible. She sent us multiple pictures daily and kept us updated on how she was doing. We will definitely use Shelley again!”

“Cindy has taken our 2 dogs in 3 times now. She is honest and friendly and quick to reply to messages. She consistently goes over and above our expectations as a sitter, picking up and delivering our dogs. Best sitter EVER!!”
“Our dog Rio had a BLAST with Rachelle and Dan. They were very detailed oriented when it came to Rio’s special needs. They also sent the perfect amount of updates and pictures throughout the stay. Definitely will book again!”

“Liss was extremely flexible and such a perfect person for our slightly anxious Yorkie. Her gentle and relaxed way was perfect for our little guy hoping to have Joey stay with her again.”

“Ben and Julie were great. They gave us daily updates with pictures. They were flexible and accommodating. Our puppy dog was ready to leave when I picked her up.”

“Denise and Michael did a fabulous job taking care of our Coton puppy. They kept up updated with notes and pictures, and cared for her as if she was their own. Tula was returned to us clean and happy. We’d love to have Denise and Michael take care of Tula again.”

“Lan was an amazing dog sitter. This is my first time using Rover, and to be honest, my first time leaving my dog with anyone that wasn’t a friend or family so I was a bit nervous. Lan was friendly and helpful and sent pictures of Zoey about an hour after I left which help put my mind at ease. Over all a really good experience.”

“Took great care of my dog, Scout!! Took the time to find out about her needs, routines and behavior. I knew right away she would be in wonderful hands. Definitely would recommend!!”

“We are so grateful to Jerad, Kali and their sweet kiddos for taking amazing care of our pups! We loved the regular photos and communication while we were on vacation, and we just know our dogs were so well cared for - can’t wait to book with them again! Thank you so much ❤️”

“River was so excellent with my Joe-Joe bean. I am booking her again when I have my new puppy. Sadly, Joe-Joe crossed the rainbow bridge a few weeks ago, but she made his quality of life at the end so much better, I can never fully express my gratitude.”
“Kami is the best! She took such great care of our two dogs who stayed with her for 2 weeks. We loved all of the photos she sent and we could tell how happy and loved our dogs were. Highly recommend!”

About: I’m a dedicated dog lover with experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I grew up with both dogs and horses, and our animals were always treated as part of the family. I understand how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your pet while you’re away. I’ve cared for everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a slower, gentler pace. Every dog is different, and I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and personalities to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. At home, I have two Australian Cattle Dogs, Sydney (4) and Roo (2), both rescues. They’re active, social, and always happy to welcome new companions. Before them, I raised my dog Cooper from 7 weeks old through 14 wonderful years. I also regularly provide in-home dog sitting for friends and family, with stays ranging from a few days to several weeks. I work from home which provides me plenty of time to keep an eye on your pup and let them out for potty breaks. I also try to work in some play time during the day where I can. My dogs insist the ball is thrown for them a lot! I feed my my own dogs around 6:30/7am and 3:30/4pm daily. I have a nice big yard with a privacy fence and 2 well socialized, friendly and playful dogs. I have good size kitchen and living room areas that can be gated off the pups need some quiet time to themselves.
About: Hello! I have owned all sorts of dogs from small bichons to big, old English sheep dogs. I have a fenced back yard, and also live close to a nice walking path. After losing my beloved Rosie after 15 1/2 years, I am ready for an occasional dog fix :) I am a retired teacher. When I am not traveling, I will have time to help with your dog-sitting needs. I look forward to meeting your dog. I have a fenced yard, and a home that we live primarily on one level. My home is pet-friendly and on a pretty quiet street.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lakeville
Kim was absolutely amazing with our energetic yellow lab, Daisy. Daisy wasn’t used to being taken care of at someone else’s home, and was stressed out. Daisy had diarrhea and was shedding. Kim, bless her heart, went out and got turkey and rice to help Daisy. With Kim’s care and love, Daisy bounced back to her old self. Kim sent us photos of Daisy during her stay and gave us updates. By the end of the week, when I came to pick Daisy up, she actually looked sad to go! Kim did a fabulous job taking care of Daisy! I would highly recommend her! Thanks Kim!!!

We had such a great experience with Samantha watching Stanley while we were away! It was clear from the start how much she genuinely cared for him and treated him like he was her own. That kind of peace of mind means everything when you’re leaving your dog in someone else’s care. We’re so happy we chose Samantha and wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for someone who will love your pet just as much as you do!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
