I have had animals my entire life, including having and caring for my own animals as an adult. In addition to supporting families through Rover, I also pet sit for friends and family. I am comfortable with navigating puppy care and introducing animals of different ages, temperaments, etc. I have experience with animals and medication delivery as I had a 21-year-old cat who utilized twice daily medications throughout a few years' time and have delivered meds to dogs as well over the years. I am comfortable supporting training as well as behavior modification is a strong interest and passion of mine with supporting an animal’s (and your) day-to-day life and finding what can be positively rewarding for them. I currently groom my dog and am open to additional services if interested such as: cat nail trimming, bathing, dog bathing and grooming, transporting your dog for nail trims or grooming. If your fur baby is staying with me in our home, they will be treated with all the love and attention ours receive! I know being away from your little one(s) can be hard so I will take your lead with updates as far as frequency and content. Generally, I will provide 1-2 updates per day with pictures of them so you can see how they’re doing ❤️🐾.

We had such a great experience with Samantha watching Stanley while we were away! It was clear from the start how much she genuinely cared for him and treated him like he was her own. Samantha took such great care of Mia. She took her to the vet when she had UTI symptoms and kept in close contact daily. Mia is very comfortable at her house.

Mia has separation anxiety, however, she adjusted amazingly well with Samantha. She sent a summary to us of Mia’s activities and photos daily. Mia was well taken care of and was at ease in her home. We highly recommend Samantha and will use her again.

Schedule
I work in behavioral health and am looking for a way to give in a way that has supported me in the past and Rover feels like a great fit as someone who has leaned on support for others many times with my fur babies. I am currently home full time and my partner works from home as well for a majority of the week so someone will almost always be home with your little one ❤️

Our home is home to a 9-year-old dog as well as two rambunctious kittens. We are very mindful of the different things that animals may be able to get into because of this. Our yard currently has a lead to allow your dog to go outside. We have crate trained and use this with our dog and are comfortable doing this with yours if wished and also use baby door stoppers to keep some doors where things like cat food or litter boxes may be open for the kitties while still keeping the space off limits as needed for dog safety :)

A typical day
First and foremost I want to hear from you as the pet parent.. what does a typical day look like for you? I wouldn’t want to walk and be too active if they aren’t usually and visa versa I wouldn’t want to spent the day cuddled up on the couch if you know your pup needs a walk in the morning or you don’t want them on the furniture! From there, we have options, we have parks nearby and a neighborhood to walk through. Depending on comfort, I’m also comfortable driving to nearby trails for walks and am versed in using dog seatbelts as well if that would make you comfortable (I own size large and depending on the consistency of a client would consider purchasing other sizes to have on hand). Me and my pup regularly drive to other locations for mental stimulation and I would be open to taking yours to different venues for the same (parks, lakes, neighborhoods, trails, etc.). We also have different mental stimulation game toys at our house and make up games as well such as hiding treats throughout the house to find. Otherwise, we like to spend our time winding down from the day with tv and snuggles or out on the back patio on a lead in the yard lounging and watching the neighborhood.
