“I was a bit nervous setting up Ebenezer (Ebb) with a dog walking service. He can be reactive sometimes, and has some other persnickety behaviors we are working on. But I really wanted him to build confidence in the world without me. Katherine was WONDERFUL! She met with us before his initial walk to make sure Ebb was comfortable with her and she started building trust and learning his behavior while talked. Ebb just got back from his first walk... He is a happy and tired pup! 10/10 would highly recommend!”

“Felicia and Steven are amazing! They treat our fur babies as their own! They may even like them more then us! I appreciate all the love they give our dogs when we are not around! I would highly recommend to anyone!”

“We had Kathy come by to walk or dog Scarlet while she was staying with family. Kathy was flexible with the scheduling and sent updates and pictures from each walk. Scarlet can be reactive on leash and Kathy handled was able to handle the walks and encounters like a pro. Would highly recommend her!”

“Thank you so much Rachael! As our first time using Rover, we were a little skeptical but Rachael’s communication put us at ease and we came home to a happy dog! We hope to get Sully and Rachael together again soon!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs my whole life and I currently have my own fur baby! I have had experience in house sitting, dog sitting, and dog walking since I was 19 including senior dogs with various health problems. I promise to love your dog like I love my own! Please note I currently work a hybrid schedule in office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays where I am most available in the evenings. Mondays, Thursdays, and weekends are flexible for early morning, lunch, and evening hours!😊 I have my own 3 year puppy who can keep your fur baby company if needed who is crate trained, so I can crate your dog if needed. I value communication and will always be available via text/call with any questions or concerns
“Jacqueline did a super job walking our senior pup, caring for his needs, and checking in on the two cats while we were gone. She always follows instructions, and communicates if there is a problem or question about their care. We are always confident that our pets will be safe and cared for when we book Jacqueline.”

About: As a stay-at-home Mom with experience caring for dogs of all sizes and needs for 20 years, I'd love to get to know you and your family. I currently have an extremely sociable Aussiedoodle, Marty. I'm a respectful professional with a love of pets and some extra time during weekdays to help you during your busy life! I'm currently a stay-at-home parent, so I have extra time during the weekdays to drop in on your pet and perhaps take a nice walk. I am not currently offering in-home boarding, but I am happy to drop in on your pet for a meal, walk, pet, and some affection.
About: I have been watching dogs and cats from my neighborhood for around 9 years! I get along very well with animals and love spending time with them! After my 2 guinea pigs died, I really wanted to fill that space in my heart! Even while working, I make sure to find lots of time to spend with your pet so they never feel abandoned or lonely! Let me know! I would prefer watch your pet in your home so they're comfortable and relaxed! I am very go with the flow so I can accommodate to what your comfortable with as well!
About: Growing up with two Labrador Retrievers and a Shih Tzu, I am well-versed in the needs and personalities of both large and small breeds. I worked at the home of someone who bred German Shepards for 2 years, caring for 10 dogs at a time and completing tasks such as bathing, walking, feeding, giving medicine, and cleaning up after. I also have multiple years of experience caring for friends & families pets. My priority is to ensure every dog feels safe, loved, and happy under my attentive watch. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or just some extra cuddles, your dog will be treated like one of my own. I’m currently working part time at a restaurant, so my schedule is very flexible! On days that I do work, I start at 3pm or 4pm and work until 9-10:30pm depending on the night, giving lots of flexibility with my availability. I have experience caring for pets in friends and families homes as well as a job working with German shepards where I tended to the dogs at my employers home, and I treat each persons home & pets with the utmost respect. I recognize it is a lot to trust someone inside your home. I value communication during these times to ensure comfortability on both sides!
About: Lifelong animal lover with real experience to back it up. I have been fostering and caring for dogs and cats since childhood, and I currently volunteer regularly at Minneapolis Animal Care and Control, where I walk and socialize dogs to give them one-on-one attention outside their kennels. I have also worked alongside The Canine Coach, giving me hands-on exposure to professional dog training methods. My experience spans all sizes, ages, and temperaments, including puppies, seniors, and dogs with behavioral needs. I am also comfortable with cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, and other pocket pets. I am a recent graduate working part-time from home, which means I have genuine flexibility during the day. I get outside for walks daily and love having a dog along for the adventure. I am available for dog walking, drop-in visits, doggy daycare, and boarding. Your pet's routine is my priority. I follow your instructions closely, whether that means a specific feeding schedule, a preferred walking route, or a particular bedtime routine. I maintain a safe, calm environment and keep communication open throughout every visit with photos and updates. No news is not good news here. You will hear from me.
About: My pets are my entire world. Animals bring me so much joy, and I love making sure they are living their best lives. I'm so excited to meet your pets, and go for walks and enjoy the nice days with your pupper. I am also a volunteer case manager for Diabetic Cats in Need, serving sugar-cat parents around the country, and I have had several high needs and medically complex pets myself. I adore helping pet parents with their diabetic and senior animals. I'm comfortable pet sitting for animals who need pills, injections, glucose tests, sub q fluids, inhalers, feeding tubes, and other treatments at home. I have a very flexible schedule. I have a car and can travel reasonable distances. I am happy to come over during the day, evenings, and weekends. I will follow your routine so that whatever your pets are comfortable with, and used to, is how I will care for them. I can take them for walks, give them play time, and am comfortable giving medication or treatments when needed.
About: Growing up, I became the neighborhood pet sitter for all the dogs and cats on my block-- I loved it so much that I didn't want to give it up once I started teaching! During the school year, I can watch your pets if they are used to being left alone during the workday. During the summer, I am free to give your pets as much love and attention as they'll put up with! As a sitter, my biggest priorities are safety, routine, and communication. When I am house sitting, I try to follow your routine as closely as possible to try and make your pets feel a little more at ease, and I send lots of pictures to try and make YOU feel a little more at ease! I also love to spoil the pets I'm watching, so be ready for me to ask if your dog or cat is okay to have a pup cup anytime I'm picking up coffee :) As I said earlier, I am available in the summer to spend as much time as you would like with your pets. When I am house sitting, I treat it like I'm moving in for that time and will treat it as my home base so that I'm keeping your pets company, even if they're just interested in lying on the couch. I available during the school year (Late August- early June) if your pets are okay with being left alone for 8 hours. I know that sometimes pet parents worry about being too "high maintenance" with their pets' needs or quirks, but I promise that that is not a thing in my book! Whatever your pets' little habits and routines are, I will accommodate them as much as possible.
“Caitlyn is an amazing person who took great care of our dog and is great with her communication and pictures. I highly recommend her and hope she is available next time we need her. She is the first person we will seek out to take care of our dog.!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
