“Glen was great with my dog, who needs to have medication twice a day and can't walk very far due to a leg injury. He was also an excellent communicator and very professional! I'm grateful for his services and would definitely recommend him to anyone.”

“Kayla was a life saver for me this past week! I typically work from home but was traveling for work - so Kayla came over during the workdays to take Barley for a walk. She was flexible, responsive, and loving towards my two-year-old golden. She even offered to bring Barley a raincoat when it was raining one day the days! I will definitely be using Kayla again on my next work trip!”

“Can’t recommend enough! Carla has been super great with Gertie. She has been flexible, communicative, and has been open to help when there’s been last minute scheduling changes. Thank you, Carla!”

About: Need someone that loves your dog like you do? I can help! :) I’ve been an animal lover my whole life! I bring a calm and understanding care to every fur friend I look after. I currently dog walk a sweet 5 year old Boxer-mix weekly, but I’m excited to add more animals to my schedule. I build a bond with the pets in my care and am always looking for ways to personalize my approach to best fit their needs! -I also volunteer weekly as an animal care assistant at the Animal Humane Society! I am working part-time so I have lots of time to spend with your pet! I am available on weekdays for walks & drop-ins! I would love to meet your fur friend🐾 Making sure your pet feels comfortable is my top priority! I take the health and safety of the pet in my care very seriously. Ensuring that they receive their regular feedings times, potty breaks, medications, walks, play-time etc.! Aside from usual clean-ups (accidents/messes), I also do my best to tidy up as I go.
About: i’ve been dog walking and pet sitting for two years, in addition I have my own five-year-old pup who I raised and means the world to me. I am patient and dependable, and will always treat your pet with the same attention and love I would want for my own! I am available weekdays and weekends and have flexible hours so I can accommodate if needed, but preferably mornings or afternoons and evenings work best! I have a friendly medium sized dog if they enjoy company otherwise I live right next to a park that they can have long or short leash walks in a very nice area!
“Great dog walker! One of my dogs is very anxious around strangers and Hisham handled that really well. Timely communication, punctual, and positive & calm with the dogs. I will absolutely be recommending him to others.”

“Charles has been absolutely amazing with our leash & stranger reactive dog Ollie. He has been patient and accommodating with us and now Ollie is excited to see him when they go on walks!”

About: Hi I’ve had dogs of all sizes and medical conditions for my entire life. We are able to manage medications and special needs with great care. I have also been a volunteer at a pet rescue and do home checks to ensure safety for new owners. I am a nurse and I work full time with only ends up being 2-3 days a week so most of the time I am home with our toddler. We recently lost our old lady dog so our house is fully accommodating and accessible dogs of all sizes and mobility. We live in a townhouse so we do not have a lot of yard space but we have community areas and a great walking path and route for walks! We also have a toddler so our house is baby proofed and we monitor heavily for anything that may be a safety issue, this directly translates for our four-legged company!
“Annie is fantastic! Our dog gets really excited when she sees Annie come to take her on a walk. Annie is a great communicator with us too. I highly recommend her to walk your furry loved one.”

“My dog Charlie is 50 pounds of energy very difficult to walk. I've only had her for about 4 months. She pulls and lunges towards other dogs and anything else with four legs. Lauren has handled Charlie very well and has been flexible with my changing schedule. I highly recommend Lauren. I trust her with my Charlie.”

“Kiirsten was absolutely amazing with our process! She was kind, attentive, and made sure she got plenty of exercise and love. We received updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. Highly recommend and will definitely book again!”

“McKenzie is so kind and attentive to my boy. She made the time to come meet him prior to booking a walk and I feel comfortable and confident with him in her care. Thank you, McKenzie!”

“Amazing!! My dog is huge and can be kind of a handful due to some reactivity around other dogs, but when Shannon came for the first walk with him, he warmed up right away to her! She asked some really thoughtful questions about his behavior, commands, etc. and she was calm and gentle when she introduced herself. At the end of the walk, he came home happy and relaxed 🐶💕 Not only that was but she was super responsive and communicative—I was looking for a dog walker last minute due to an injury, and she really came through. I could not recommend her enough ❤️”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Bloomington
Iris was fantastic! She was able to help out last minute, even though we had never met before, and she immediately put me at ease. She showed up right on time, took great care of Tussey, and sent plenty of pictures during the walk. It was such a relief knowing Tussey was in good hands. Highly recommend and will definitely book with her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
