āZoe was able to stop by very last minute to help our 2 dogs with a potty break and medication intake. She was a very communicative and updated us with how the visit went. We really appreciate it!ā

āAnne was great! We appreciated her availability last minute and on a holiday. Our dogs can be a lot to handle and she was very loving. Her drop in was very thorough and she gave our pups plenty of time to be out and running around before going back into their kennels. Thanks Anne!ā

āErin was awesome! She was very helpful with my first time using Rover and gave me plenty of updates to help me feel at ease with having someone new in my home and taking care of my Cooper.ā

āCarla gave us frequent updates after each visit with pictures. She gave our older dog his meds and tried a few strategies when he was less than thrilled to take them :) we appreciated the pictures, it was so great to see or beloved pets' pictures while we were away. Thanks Carla!ā

About: I love dogs! I've been fostering dogs with The Bond Between, formerly Secondhand Hounds, for over 5 years. I used to have 2 of my own, a Miniature Poodle and a Shih Tzu, but they both died in June of 2019, one week apart. They were both 15 years old. Ever since then I've been fostering and it's the most rewarding thing I've ever done. Through fostering I've received obedience training and learned numerous tips and tricks for helping dogs to be successful and to find their forever home. I've learned about leash reactivity and how to avoid it, how to do loose leash walking to avoid pulling, and how important it is to keep them looking to me for direction. I've worked with shy, fearful dogs as well as easy going "I love everybody" dogs. Play time and cuddle time are my favorite things about being with dogs. My own personal preference is to let dogs on the couch with me and sleep in my bed at night. But I've done a bit of dog sitting for former foster dogs and fully respect the new ownersā expectations and boundaries. My goal is to do what makes you and your dog happy. I live alone in a townhouse so there are only my foster dogs and no children in the mix. I have a small front yard so all outside time will be on a leash and/or on a walk. I can't wait to meet your dog! NOTE: My 10% rating for sending photos is a bit misleading because I send them to personal cell phone numbers for convenience, therefore they donāt get tracked. But 100% of my clients receive photos and videos multiple times per day. I'm currently working a full time job from home, so I can attend to your dog's needs throughout the day and my break times are very flexible. I'm pretty much a home body, enjoying as much dog time as I can get! My house is set up for dogs more than people! I have area rugs down for senior dogs that have a hard time walking on a smooth surface. I have a small gated pen set up for separating dogs during feeding times and I gate off the stairs to go upstairs unless I'm up there with the dogs. I also have 2 crates with the doors open if a dog wants their own small safe space. I supervise all eating times and always put dogs on a leash when outside. I have multiple dog beds and comfy sleeping spots throughout my house.
āTori took great care of our cat for 5 days and I wouldnāt hesitate to have her back to take care of Mr T again. I appreciated receiving photos while I was away. Tori is great to work with!ā

āSky was absolutely wonderful with my 2 French Bulldogs. Showing so much compassion, respect, and support. I will definitely book with Sky again. What a great first experience with Rover!ā

āAlyssa did a great job looking after our two cats during our trip. She gave us detailed feedback on her visits - we felt well informed and that put us at ease to their care. Thanks again!ā

About: Iāve owned cats my whole life, but I love animals of all kinds! I have experience working with dogs cats, rabbits, reptiles, birds, and other small mammals. I started petsitting for my neighbors when I was 12, and I started volunteering at the Animal Humane Society when I was 16. Iām comfortable with administering medications, specific diets, and special needs of any kind, including senior pets. I work full time in Bloomington. My schedule is 10:00-6:30, Monday through Thursday, and 8:30-5:00 on Fridays. I am free before and after work. I have open availability on Saturday and Sunday. I will treat you, your pet, and your home with kindness and respect. My goal is for you to come home to a happy pet and your space exactly as you left it.
āBen is fantastic and is our first choice for watching our cats when we are out of town. Itās clear he enjoys animals and makes the extra effort to make them happy and comfortable. He even helps beyond the pets by collecting our mail and packages. Heās a wonderful pet sitter and even better human!ā

About: Iāve had animals my entire life, those including dogs (small and giant), cats, small animals such as rats and hamsters, fish, turtles, etc. I have experience dealing with reactive dogs as well. If you would need care for an animal other than a dog or cat, feel free to message me and we could work something out! I work full-time, but working ten hour shifts Iām able to have three full days off during the week. If needed I would be open to stopping in before my shifts as I start at noon. Due to the tiny space and amount of animals I have currently in my home, I donāt feel comfortable having dogs or cats. I would consider caged animals if needed!
āJosephine was great. She showed up when she said she would and managed Greta who is often scared and prefers to be left with me. Would definitely have back. Thanks!ā

āInge was great to work with especially since we needed someone last minute. She was punctual, quick to respond to our messages, and very friendly. We will definitely use her again.ā
āJessie is attentive and asked all the right questions when I was briefing her on my catās feeding/care routine! She also left good notes/summaries of her visits. Thanks Jessie!ā

About: Newly stay at home mom that is apart of a loving family with 2 furry friends of our own. With over 20 years of dog experience myself. From senior dogs to puppies. Rest assured your dog will be treated like part of the family when theyāre with us. I have fostered dogs in the past until they found their loving forever home. We are located minutes away from MOA and the airport. Iām a stay at home mom, so my schedule is pretty open. Iām available most weekdays, weekends and holidays. I am happy to drop by and let your dogs out multiple times a day as well too. I have a spacious fenced in yard, so they have access to go outside as frequently as they need. I also have two fur babies that are happy to keep your dog company. If your dog needs to be in a crate, I have the space for them to be in one.
About: Hi! I have grown up with dogs my whole life and would love to take care of and play with yours while you are out away. I have experience with both puppies and senior care animals. I am a current graduate student and would love to care for your animal(s) in my free time. My schedule is always changing, but pretty flexible overall! I am unable to care for your pets in my home due to renting. I am sorry for this inconvenience, but would love to help out in your home.
About: I've had dogs in my life since I was a baby. As an adult I have owned a German Shepherd & a Husky. They're both well behaved and I have done all the training they've experienced through positive reinforcement. Other dogs I've cared for include all shapes, breeds, & sizes. Specific examples: Dobermans, Pitbulls, Teddy Bears, Labs, Golden Doodles, etc. As a medic, I also have training in emergency medicine with K9s. I have a job where I work remotely 50% of the time. Aside from Tuesdays, I have some flexibility during the work week. Reach out and we can chat! Especially if you're looking for something consistent :) I believe in positive reinforcement. As my Husky resides in my home any dog that comes to stay with us has to be dog friendly. Otherwise, for dog walks or drop-ins, they will have my 1 on 1 attention and affection.
