About: Hey, my name is Marilyn but I go by my middle name, Alex! I have an extensive history in pet care as well as veterinary medical experience. I was a vet tech for 6 years and before that I was in FFA at an agricultural, vocational high school. As an adult I have spent all of my free time in the last 15 years rescuing and rehabilitating animals with a focus on senior dogs and palliative cases (think hospice for terminally ill animals that are still healthy enough to enjoy the time they have left). I practice very good animal hygeine and behavioral ettiquette. At home I have one dog, a year old female poodle (standard) named Birdie, and a senior cat named Perry. My dog is well behaved, healthy and has good manners with other dogs. Perry is tolerant of dogs but keeps to himself. I moved here from Florida in July and work from home full time so this is a perfect opportunity for me to find a way into the animal care community here in Minneapolis. I am home all day, every day and welcome any excuse to get up and stretch my legs during work hours. I have a fenced in backyard that I keep clean and safe for plenty of running and enrichment. I have multiple feeding and watering stations throughout my home that are well kept. My office features about a million, giant dog beds so I'm never without a companion. My own dog is crate trained so I can offer accomodations for your dog but I also enjoy being followed around wherever I go!

About: * update* I am currently boarding weekends.. (Friday evening- Sunday) Thanks. I have over 10 years experience watching & caring for friends pets. I understand basic dog behaviors. I believe a tired pup is a happy pup. I may have a hybrid work from home option so would be home some days. Other days I'd have an in-home visit planned. I bring my dog to day care twice a week so I understand the importance of caring for your family member. Services include: large outside fenced backyard, multiple walks, play time, treats, plenty of attention, & pictures for your peace of mind. I live near a walking path which is very safe for walking dogs & also live near multiple parks and dog parks. I have many different types of play toys available & can provide any bones or chew toys. Your pup will be on vacation in my care while you are away. I may be able to work from home on boarding days during the week. If not, I have Rover home-visitor visit midday for 1/2 an hour. I would go on multiple walks & have a large fenced backyard. I have a fenced backyard & my pup is extremely friendly & is not aggressive or possessive over toys/treats. I can crate if necessary and allow well behaved pups to roam.

About: I grew up on a hobby farm in Wisconsin and am familiar with a wide range of animals. Loosely skilled in walking training and puppy potty training. Have watched many dogs and have many trusted reviews from TrustedHousesitter. Very familiar with large sized dogs as I grew up with St. Bernard’s and I am very comfortable handling larger pups. I currently work completely remote and can be flexible with my days. Ideally mornings, lunch breaks and evenings would be ideal, but can also come work from your house for the entirety of the day if needed and would be able to take frequent walk breaks I truly have such a passion for animals but currently travel too much to have one of my own. In this to make a little bit of side cash, but also truly to get some pet therapy time for myself as well. Your pet will be very loved, your space respected and instructions clearly fulfilled
