About: I’ve owned dogs and cats my entire life, and can’t think of anything more joyful than having animals around to play with and love on. I work full time from home, and have flexibility to take lots of breaks during the day. We love going on walks, hikes and have two children who also love to help out! We are set up with a crate and/or dog beds if needed, as well as all the other gear that goes along with having furry friends around.

About: I’ve always loved animals and treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. I’m patient, dependable, and committed to making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, administering medications if needed, or simply providing companionship, I’ll follow your pet’s routine and give them the attention they deserve. I’m an athlete so all I do is work out so I have a lot of time in my day to be with the animals I will provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for every pet in my care. I will follow the owner’s instructions closely regarding feeding schedules, exercise, medication, and any special needs.
“THE BEST EVERRR!! Molly was such a wonderful sitter for both of our kitties and they were very well taken care of! She made sure to hang out with the boys and give them lots of attention. I can’t thank her enough for the amazing care she provided and we will absolutely book her again!”
About: i’ve been dog walking and pet sitting for two years, in addition I have my own five-year-old pup who I raised and means the world to me. I am patient and dependable, and will always treat your pet with the same attention and love I would want for my own! I am available weekdays and weekends and have flexible hours so I can accommodate if needed, but preferably mornings or afternoons and evenings work best! I have a friendly medium sized dog if they enjoy company otherwise I live right next to a park that they can have long or short leash walks in a very nice area!
About: I have had dogs and cats my entire life. I have also helped raise and care for other people's pets. I would be happy to take your dog on walks, potty breaks or for overnights. I can also visit your cat and give it love and attention when you're away. We have a 16lb dog ourselves who is very dog friendly. I work from home so I am available any day from 8am - 7pm for walks or potty breaks. If your dog prefers running we can talk about running as an option! I have a fenced in yard with a fence high enough for small and medium sized dogs. Our 16lb 5 yr old dog is very dog friendly.
About: Animal lover here, excited to care for your pup! I have experience with many breeds and can't wait to share adventures on our time together! I work 8-5 mainly with a shorter workday Friday. I have weekends off and I am looking to spend some time keeping your animals company. Typically don’t have a long lunch, but can potentially be flexible if needed. Grew up with dogs around me and have plenty experience watching peoples pets. Love following list of needs so they feel most comfortable when they aren’t with their parents!
About: I've walked and sat for dogs for over 10 years, starting with neighbors and becoming a Wag walker when I lived in Chicago. I grew up with Labrador retrievers and have a lot of experience with animals. I am also a volunteer at the Minneapolis animal shelter, where I’ve gained experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. My husband and I both work fully remote jobs so we are always home all day on weekdays. We have a 10 year old German Shepherd rescue named Griffey, who LOVES other dogs and puppies, and is very friendly. We live in a quiet neighborhood with a spacious, fully fenced-in yard that’s perfect for safe playtime. Dogs in our care enjoy regular walks in the morning, afternoon, and evening, and we’re happy to adjust the routine based on your dog’s specific needs and energy level. Pet care is just part of our everyday life! Since we both work from home, we’re around all day to give dogs plenty of attention, walks, and playtime. Our dog Griffey has a regular routine, so it’s easy to fold in other pups for walks, yard time, and snuggles throughout the day. In our home, pets are treated like family. We provide a calm, comfortable environment with plenty of structure, love, and attention. Dogs have access to our fully fenced-in yard for safe outdoor play, and we stick to consistent routines for feeding, walks, and rest. We’re always home during the weekdays, so pets are rarely alone and get lots of interaction throughout the day. Whether it’s playtime, enrichment activities, or quiet cuddles, we tailor our care to each dog’s unique needs and personality.
About: We are dog lovers with deep experience in dog-sitting and walking services. We regularly take care of our friends' pets and are experts in having fun and getting exercise at the dog park. Teri comes from a dog care and grooming family, while Paul brings more than 40 years of experience caring for, training and spoiling dogs of all shapes, sizes and colors. We have a fenced-in yard in the Kenny neighborhood, close to the Minnehaha Creek and other hiking paths. We only watch one dog (or bonded pair) at a time, so your pup will get all of the attention it deserves. Three of our dogs have had special health care needs. Two had Addison's Disease, meaning we are experienced at giving injections and oral medication. Our current pup, Nessie, is a smaller-sized standard poodle. She loves everyone and is a great co-host! Please let us know your dog's needs and how we can be of service. We look forward to meeting your pup soon! We are semi-retired and mostly work from home, meaning that we are highly available to provide walks, visits and boarding services. We are frequent visitors of the Airport dog park. We have a fenced-in back yard, which provides ample space for playtime with Nessie. We are semi-retired, which means we have ample time to provide attention to your four-footed friends.
About: I used to own two Cavaliers, and have taken care of numerous dogs on behalf of friends/family, including dog sitting for my sister's high anxiety rescue dog. I find that a calm, patient demeanor can win over even the most stranger-wary dog. I am in the process of changing careers, so am taking classes, which meet mostly online. Aside from the few hours a week when I volunteer to work with special-needs children in therapeutic horseback riding, my schedule is very flexible, including nights/weekends. Mornings? Evenings? Last minute? No problem. I think of pets as family, and will treat your pet like my family. (Don't worry, that's a good thing!) As a horseback rider, I find the skills of working with our animal friends transfer easily. Regardless of species, they enjoy human attention/affection, engagement and are often much smarter than we give them credit for.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have been a dedicated dog owner for over 8 years. For the past 3 years, I’ve also fostered pups, giving me experience with a wide range of temperaments and styles. I’m comfortable with everything from high energy personalities to shy or anxious dogs. I’m comfortable with senior dogs (my last pup was 18!), puppies and everything in between. At this time, I’m focusing on small and medium sized dogs so they will be the best match for my own dog and I can provide the best care possible. I work full time from home and am available to board in my house anytime for most lengths of time. Lots of time to play with your pup! Right now, I’m open to hosting small and medium pups—as they are the best matches for my own dog. My dog, Elliot, loves to go for walks (weather permitting) and we’d love for your pup to tag along! If the weather is bad, my yard is perfect for zoomies, ball/toy chasing, neighbor watching and basking in the sun. I have my own small pup who is energetic and loves to play, but isn’t pushy. I work from home so we are together all the time! We walk often—in the morning, at lunch and in evenings. I have a fenced in yard for potty breaks with lots of toys and enrichment. I am home most of the time, but would contain (kennel or pen if needed) when I leave and I’m also open to pups that aren’t kenneled but safe to leave out (I’d put away my own dog).

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Edina
Ava did an awesome job taking care of our kitty Winnie while we were away! She was so attentive and provided detailed feedback each day about how things were going. She watched over our house and watered our flowers as well. She also drew an adorable picture of our girl. Would highly recommend!!

Lily was great with our cat Mochi. We could tell in the daily update photos that our cat was very relaxed and that she was enjoying the company. Lily was very professional and communicative. We would definitely recommend Lily if your cat just needs someone to hang out with for a little bit each day.

Absolutely amazing! Thank you for taking such good care of our pups while we were out of town! Each dog was treated special - with our young pup getting lots of extra walking/ jogging and rubs and our senior pup given the chance to “get up” when he was ready and getting lots of opportunities to stop and smell to his hearts desire. Awesome job! wWe plan to rebook soon!

It is a relief when we know that Annalise can watch our cat when we are away. She’s very conscientious – she knows a lot about pets – in fact, she made a suggestion about my cat’s diet, which has really made an improvement – she does it in a nice humble way. Highly recommend.
Kirsten was absolutely amazing with my cat, Rosie, while I was out of town! She was communicative and reliable the whole way through and sent daily updates/pictures for me. You can tell she clearly cared about providing great care and it was clear from the pictures that my cat adored her! I came home to a happy and relaxed cat and everything was in perfect shape. It’s such a relief finding someone you can trust with your pet and Kirsten was the perfect find. I would book her again in a heartbeat :)

Michaela was great. I was delayed 24 hrs from original return time due to widespread travel delays and she was very flexible with the situation and amenable to helping in any way she could. From pics and updates she sent I could tell my guys were content. She was very communicative and I really appreciated her positive attitude while I navigated airport purgatory.

- 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
