I have a large fenced-in yard with plenty of room to roam, plus a screened in patio. I have two rescue dogs that are great with other dogs. Both dogs are spayed, and up to date on all vaccinations.

Information Dana K. would like to know about your pet
If your dogs are going to come in contact with our resident dogs we request your dog be up to date with all vaccines, as well as a flea/tick preventative during the spring, summer, and fall months. I also need to be made aware of any medical conditions and your preferred vet in case of emergencies. Lastly I like to know what, if anything, frightens or causes your dog anxiety and how best to comfort them.
A typical day
Typically we do two meals a day, twelve hours apart i.e. 5:30am and 5:30pm. Dog treats are given during positive reinforcement training, and throughout the day after given a command such as sit, stay, or shake. Our neighborhood is very walkable, plus there are several walking paths/lakes that are just a short car ride away. We also have a small kiddie pool we put in the yard on hot days.

Pet care experience
I started my pet care journey when I took a job at Chuck and Don’s in 2012, where I learned about pet nutrition and specialty diets. Then, in 2017 I started work with the Animal Humane Society as an adoption coordinator. I have worked with dogs of all sizes and needs including my own 120 pound Newfoundland that passed away of old age in 2021.
Reviews

Dana was available last minute for a weekend of drop-ins. She was very attentive and on time, dogs were so happy and well cared for! She even tried to dry them up after some rain (which is quick the feat). Very thankful for her willingness to care for our girls!

Dana is a wonderful dog sitter! Great communication and genuinely cares for our dogs. Our pups are always happy to go there. We have used her for both doggie daycare and boarding. We highly recommend her!

Great experience- great communication and my pup seemed VERY happy!!

Thanks dana!
