“Lauren was great to work with and very communicative! We felt comfortable with her taking care of our cat, Beau, and will definitely book again if we need help in the future. We loved all the pictures we received too!”

“Melissa is exceptionally caring and had a wonderful approach with our Great Dane, Kota. She left the perfect level of details after each of her visits and was thoughtful about our dogs knee (recovering from surgery) while still giving her plenty of time to play. Our dog was clearly comfortable and happy to see Melissa each visit- which is saying a lot for an anxious pup! Could not recommend Melissa more highly!!”

About: I used to own two Cavaliers, and have taken care of various dogs on behalf of friends/family, including dog sitting for my sister's high anxiety rescue dog, and now have taken care of numerous dogs in the year I’ve been on Rover. I find that a calm, patient demeanor can win over even the most stranger-wary dog. I am in the process of changing careers, so am taking classes, which meet mostly online. Aside from the few hours a week when I volunteer to work with special-needs children in therapeutic horseback riding, my schedule is very flexible, including nights/weekends. Mornings? Evenings? Last minute? No problem. I think of pets as family, and will treat your pet like my family. (Don't worry, that's a good thing!) As a horseback rider, I find the skills of working with our animal friends transfer easily. Regardless of species, they enjoy human attention/affection, engagement and are often much smarter than we give them credit for.
“Alyssa was attentive, loving, and communicated really well! She was quick to notify us of any changes with the cats and made an effort to engage our shy or hiding old cats. Thanks so much for taking care of our fur family while we had to be out of town! ❤️”
“Jacqueline always does a great job with our pets! We especially appreciate her expertise and focus with our senior dog. She knows to give him short, slow walks, and is comfortable and proficient in administering meds for his joint pain. Highly recommend!”

“Haley is super nice and easy to work with. My cats both like her almost instantly. She’s good at taking cute pics. Will be thinking of her next time we are on a trip.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was little, from small to big, I have experimented with a range of different dogs and even cats! I’m a student but have time for dog walks in the evening and on the weekends, I can provide drop in services on the weekends as well. Your dogs safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I follow any care instructions closely, use secure leashes and harnesses, and stay alert to my surroundings at all times. I treat every dog as if they were my own and provide updates so you can feel confident and at ease while your pup is in my care.
“Abigail was wonderful with my boys, and very communicative each time she dropped in to care for them. It was a holiday week so I was very happy to have gotten her booked.”

About: I cared for a friends dog for 4 years, treating it like my own family member. I have also watched plenty of dogs from other friends as well as a coworkers dog. I’ve had them at my house, given walks, and gone to their house to give care. Whatever is needed, I am your resource of love and compassion for your animal. I have all the time for your pet- I’m currently in grad school to become a teacher and don’t have a job since I will be student teaching in spring 2026. I only have one class this semester so I’m free to help walk/care for dogs throughout the week. I can help stay with your dog in your place if need be, or they can be in my apartment where I can walk them through the neighborhoods or take them to the nearby park. I would keep them away from other dogs if needed. Whatever is needed for your loved one, I am here for you.
“Ashley was very accommodating was able to book last minute and squeeze me in and still meet my kiddos needs. Communicative and fast response to any questions or concerns I had. Thanks”

“Inge was great to work with especially since we needed someone last minute. She was punctual, quick to respond to our messages, and very friendly. We will definitely use her again.”
“Lindsay was very communicative during her visits, sending updates and pictures of our kitties with all the needed information. She was great to work with and gave our pets good attention and care! It was wonderful to have peace of mind while we were out of town, especially given one of our cats has diabetes and needs medicine twice a day. We are very grateful!”

“Claire took amazing care of our four kitties while we were on vacation. She was so sweet with them and went above and beyond the basic care needs to make sure they had a good week too. We would definitely recommend working with her!”

“Tara was great! I would rather not board the cats and keep them in their home and this was a great alternative and cheaper than boarding and less stressful for the cats. She asked questions to make sure she understood the cats needs and had great communication. We already have her booked for drop ins again. Thanks again Tara ❤️ We highly recommend!”

About: i’ve been dog walking and pet sitting for two years, in addition I have my own five-year-old pup who I raised and means the world to me. I am patient and dependable, and will always treat your pet with the same attention and love I would want for my own! I am available weekdays and weekends and have flexible hours so I can accommodate if needed, but preferably mornings or afternoons and evenings work best! I have a friendly medium sized dog if they enjoy company otherwise I live right next to a park that they can have long or short leash walks in a very nice area!

“Alisha is a great sitter- always easy to coordinate with, so friendly, and great with my cat. I appreciate that she sends photos and updates - it puts me at ease to leave my cat for longer periods of time when I know she will be dropping in.”

“You did an amazing job! We loved your updates and felt very secure knowing you were around to take care of Poppy. We thought it was really cute how you’d shape her food for her. Thank you so much!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Bloomington
Dana was available last minute for a weekend of drop-ins. She was very attentive and on time, dogs were so happy and well cared for! She even tried to dry them up after some rain (which is quick the feat). Very thankful for her willingness to care for our girls!

Lauren did an amazing job with our pets! We needed our cat Franklin + 2 geckos looked after while out of town, and she took care all of them like a pro. Communication was great, and consistent with every visit we had scheduled. She paid very close attention to every detail in our care instructions. It was a pleasure working with you, and we would love to have take care of our them again!

Josephine was amazing! My pup is very shy and sometimes stand offish to new people but he warmed right up to Josephine. We had a very late request for in-home visits and Josephine was able to accommodate for us and was very timely with her responses. She provided updates at every check in and even took our pup for a short walk on most visits! Can’t thank you enough Josephine, we will be requesting your help again in the future!!
Kelly immediately became such a special part of ours and our mini golden doodle, Lewis’, routine! We are so grateful for Kelly’s flexibility with our (sometimes unpredictable) schedule. We have had to make several last minute changes and Kelly is always responsive and adaptable. She’s intentional and takes several photos each time she visits Lewis and gives a thorough description of their time together. She plays with him and wears him out for when we return from work. Kelly is great to work with and so friendly!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
