“Sarah was amazing! She did a number of drop ins with our dog, and we would definitely book her again. Her communication, care for our pup, and detailed updates were so great, and made us feel comfortable even when we weren’t there. Grateful for Sarah and hope to book her again!”

“Ed really goes the extra mile, not only for the pets for whom he is caring, but also with keeping their “parents” entertained with stories, puzzles, and humor. We look forward to each time he sits for us!”

“Iris did a great job with our two cats for drop-in visits. She shared pictures, gave updates and observations. We feel our fur babies were well taken care of and would recommend Iris.”

“Abbey was so great to work with. We had a few hiccups (all on my end!) and she patiently worked through them and was very flexible. Would highly recommend!!”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have been a dedicated dog owner for over 8 years. For the past 3 years, I’ve also fostered pups, giving me experience with a wide range of temperaments and styles. I’m comfortable with everything from high energy personalities to shy or anxious dogs. I’m comfortable with senior dogs (my last pup was 18!), puppies and everything in between. At this time, I’m focusing on small and medium sized dogs so they will be the best match for my own dog and I can provide the best care possible. I work full time from home and am available to board in my house anytime for most lengths of time. Lots of time to play with your pup! Right now, I’m open to hosting small and medium pups—as they are the best matches for my own dog. My dog, Elliot, loves to go for walks (weather permitting) and we’d love for your pup to tag along! If the weather is bad, my yard is perfect for zoomies, ball/toy chasing, neighbor watching and basking in the sun. I have my own small pup who is energetic and loves to play, but isn’t pushy. I work from home so we are together all the time! We walk often—in the morning, at lunch and in evenings. I have a fenced in yard for potty breaks with lots of toys and enrichment. I am home most of the time, but would contain (kennel or pen if needed) when I leave and I’m also open to pups that aren’t kenneled but safe to leave out (I’d put away my own dog).
About: I became a dog mom in 2026 to my handsome boy Dice and quickly got involved with the rescue I adopted him from. Since then, I’ve fostered 20+ dogs and even foster failed with Ace! I love dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities and have experience with shy, fearful, excitable, reactive, and easygoing dogs. I’ve also completed four levels of obedience training with my dogs. My own dogs have taught me a lot about meeting dogs where they are. Dice is a senior gentleman who loves leisurely walks filled with sniffing and marking. Ace is my four-year-old shy boy who was very shut down and scared of everything when I got him. Watching his confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding—and today he’s a total love bug! I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality, learning their cues, and figuring out what makes them feel comfortable and happy. I’m available weekdays and have flexibility to tailor walks and visits to what your dog needs. Whether your pup wants a long walk, a run, a short potty break, or a leisurely sniff-and-explore adventure, I’m happy to follow their lead. I want walks to be enjoyable for your dog rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I’m doing Rover during a career transition because I can’t think of a better way to spend my weekdays than getting outside, getting some exercise, and hanging out with dogs! ❤️ Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’m comfortable working with reactive dogs and will follow your guidance on how to reinforce their training and manage their triggers. I’m also comfortable caring for dogs with special needs and will carefully follow any instructions, medications, routines, or other care requirements you provide. What you can expect from me: * 🐾 Plenty of attention, patience & affection * 🐾 Walks tailored to your dog’s needs and personality * 🐾 Respect for your dog’s routines and training * 🐾 A calm, thoughtful approach with nervous or reactive dogs * 🐾 Photos and updates after visits * 🐾 Someone who genuinely loves getting to know each dog After fostering 20+ dogs, I’ve learned that every dog communicates differently. I’ll take the time to understand your dog and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away.
“I've hired Annika multiple times to take care of my cat Nala and she always has done a great job. In addition to taking care of Nala she has consistently helped with other house-sitting tasks. I look forward to working with her in the future!”

“Kiah was great to Tanny, she helped me figure things out because it was my first time getting a dog sitter. It was relieving to know somebody was going to be there to feed my older dog and give her medicine when I was gone. I am planning on booking with her every time I have a long day at work 😊”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for over 20 years. Purebred goldens, Corgi’s, Aussie Shepherds, and a variety of rescue dogs to name some. I work from home and have a fenced in yard. I really enjoy having visitors. I have a 3 day in advance cancellation policy. I’m minutes from the airport and many clients use me for longer stays during International travel. I’m able to give guests great attention. Love to show them a good time balancing entertainment, exercise, and rest. I’m usually able to do meet and greets. I have a fenced in yard and generally go outside with them or keep a close eye through the windows. I’m protective given the predators in the community.

About: Hi, I’m Deanna! I’m a lifelong animal lover and 25+ year dog/cat mom. I have two friendly small dogs and two dog-friendly cats. I’ve fostered dogs and been dog sitting for friends & family for many years - I’ve even taken care of snakes and lizards! I have personal experience with senior dogs who might need an extra loving hand. I have a safe and secure fenced back yard to play and relax in. Contact me to set up a meet & greet or with questions you may have. I look forward to meeting you and your special pup! Please note: pick up is required by 6:00pm. I give my resident dogs two to three long walks every day, with frequent potty/yard breaks. I have pet beds in my home office while I work. I have a fenced in yard, several doggy beds, and animals are allowed on my furniture. My resident dogs are small and like to play (gently) and have lots of toys to share, or just enjoy cuddling with other frequent nappers. I have two crates on-site or you can bring your own!
“Megan did amazing job taking care of Toffee and Ellie while I was gone! She was able to find a way to win them both over (and that isn’t an easy task), and I could tell that both of them liked her a lot. I will definitely reach out to Megan again in the future!”

Your pet will always be treated with kindness, respect and the same care I would give my own.
“Dana was available last minute for a weekend of drop-ins. She was very attentive and on time, dogs were so happy and well cared for! She even tried to dry them up after some rain (which is quick the feat). Very thankful for her willingness to care for our girls!”

“Shannon was a wonderful sitter for our diabetic cat Linus. She had the most charming and hilarious updates for each visit and took lots of pics of our gentle giant. I would book with her again in a heartbeat!”

“Sarah took fantastic care of my little parrot while I was on vacation. I was giving Rover another chance after a really bad experience with a sitter, which I mention only because it means that I was particularly nervous about hiring Sarah. I shouldn't have worried at all! Sarah was incredible. She is professional, responsible, and has a genuine love for animals to boot. She was always responsive to my texts and sent me pictures and a summary of the stay each day, which helped set my mind at ease that my pet was happy and being well cared for. From now on, I will be booking with Sarah any time I leave town and I recommend you do too if you are interested in peace of mind!”

About: Animal lover here, excited to care for your pup! I have experience with many breeds and can't wait to share adventures on our time together! I work 8-5 mainly with a shorter workday Friday. Cassidy came over to feed our dogs and spend some time with them while we were out for the afternoon and night at a wedding. She fed them, let them out, and hung out while they played. Having her come by allowed us to enjoy the evening without worrying about getting home at a specific time.

McKenna was amazing. My baby Ozzy was in the best of hands with her today. She took such good care of my toy golden doodle. He is happy and exhausted thanks to great walks, cuddles and care. Will hopefully have the chance to have Ozzy stay with McKenna again!!! Thanks so much. Dave

Josephine was amazing! My pup is very shy and sometimes stand offish to new people but he warmed right up to Josephine. We had a very late request for in-home visits and Josephine was able to accommodate for us and was very timely with her responses. She provided updates at every check in and even took our pup for a short walk on most visits! Can’t thank you enough Josephine, we will be requesting your help again in the future!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
