Hello, pet parents! My name is Clara, and I want to take care of your pets! I have had four years of experience working as a Veterinary Assistant, and as a pet sitter for several repeat clients. My experience in vet care and my own dog, Riddle, have taught me what a privilege it is to care for, understand, and bond with animals of all kinds, and I would love to have that chance with your dogs and cats. I have experience caring for senior pets, and special needs pets, and I am comfortable administering medications in the form of liquids, pills, topicals, and even injections such as insulin. I am very mindful of how animals communicate and express their needs, and I focus closely on what they are communicating, both directly and indirectly, and accommodate them however I can. My goal is to have a special bond with every pet I care for, and to make them feel safe and comfortable.

I have a lot of experience caring for pets in their own homes, and in respecting both the home/yard environment as well as the pet’s relationship with the home and the home’s routines. I learn as quickly as I can how pets prefer to behave in their own environment, such as what rooms they like, where they prefer to sleep, play, etc., so that I can treat them according to what needs and feelings they are expressing. (I have also worked as a house sitter in the past, so your home will also be in good hands!)

Clara did a fantastic job of taking care of my two cats, when I returned they were the same happy cats as when I left. She was great about communicating about what was going on with the cats and I got to see pictures of them frequently, which assured me that they were in good hands. I highly recommend her services.

Clara recently took care of our three cats while we were OOT for a long weekend and she was an EXCELLENT caregiver! From start to finish, Clara was a total pro and gave our cats loving care and attention. She came over a few days before we left and took notes while we reviewed all the essential information. Clara was on time for all her drop-ins and sent detailed notes and pictures of our cats. We can tell that they loved her because when we got home, they were all super relaxed and chill, like we had never left - lol. It was nice to get away and feel totally reassured that our cats were in good hands with Clara.
Clara was great with our dog Max and super communicative. Will definitely book again for future needs!

Schedule
I am a self-employed, work-from-home artist, so with the exception of the occasional work trips/obligations, I am free to drop everything and come care for your pet at almost any time. Your pets are my priority!

- No one knows your pet better than you, and no one is a better judge of what I need to know about them! If your dog has a preferred schedule, particular reactivity triggers, special treats, walking routes, or favorite music, I would love to know. And of course the same goes for your kitty and when they like to eat, where they like to hide, and whatever other traits they have cultivated over their time with you.
