About: 🐾 I’ve been around dogs for as long as I can remember, and I started dog sitting for friends, family, and neighbors when I was 10. When I got my own dog at 14, I fell in love with training and taught her over 20 tricks through patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Over the years, I’ve built strong relationships with both pets and owners, and I’ve been lucky to receive referrals from people who trust me with their dogs. I love making sure dogs are not just cared for, but genuinely happy and engaged. Whether that’s walks, playtime, enrichment games, training practice, or just giving them lots of attention and affection, I always try to match each dog’s personality and energy level. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels, and I always want them to feel safe, loved, and relaxed while you’re away. I’m a college student currently on summer break, so I have plenty of time throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, playtime, and giving pets lots of attention. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so pet care is something I truly look forward to every day. I’m also studying Animal Science, which has made me even more passionate about animal care and behavior. I always want pets to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I pay close attention to routines, behavior, and comfort levels, and I’ll treat your pets and home with the same care and respect I would my own.
“Abby is very caring and attentive. She took great care of Mochi and even kept an eye on his eye condition, which made me feel at ease while I was away.”

“Great communication. We had a dialogue about what our dogs prefer. They came through for us in an emergency situation on short notice too and we couldnt be happier with their help. After they sent us the photos of our happy pups playing in the yard.”

About: I’ve been dog sitting for neighbors for over 10 years and have also worked at a doggy daycare in Columbia Heights. I have experience caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. I currently work part time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide reliable pet care. I’m very experienced with managing my schedule and making sure each dog’s needs come first. I make time for regular feeding, walks, playtime, and bathroom breaks. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make sure to follow their care instructions and give their pets everything they need. During visits, I’ll feed them, let them outside or take them for a walk, and spend time playing with them to help get their energy out. I also make sure they get plenty of attention and are comfortable before I leave.

“My boy and girl kitties love Mexi! My girl is a bit shy but came right up to her. Loved the pictures she took too I could tell they were in good hands . They were not too mad at me when I came back, which means they did not feel abandoned.”

We're definitely booking her in the future!”

“Dani has taken care of my cat Razzberry on two different occasions this summer. She took very good care of my little girl and I wasn’t worried about her at all while I was gone.”

About: I'm a lifelong cat owner, having raised kittens and adopted adult cats. I don't have my own dogs but have been a sitter for friends, family and strangers for many years. I listen to animals about their needs, both for autonomy and companionship. Particularly experienced with redirecting reactive dogs and administering subcutaneous fluids for kidney-impaired cats. I'm a graduate student at the U. My workload is significant but my flexibility is high. Pet care is a welcome diversion before/after class, in the middle of project work, and as breaks from grading student papers. I like to speak with clients in advance about how their pet relates to strange humans, and what kind of approach (eye contact, voice volume, treat bribes, et cetera) their pets are most comfortable with. For dogs, walk protocol is an important thing for me to know as well. My default is to assume every pet is going to be wary of me until I earn trust, which I work for through maintaining a quiet, calm presence with as much hewing to normal routines as possible.

I'm dependable, attentive, and communicative, and I'll make sure you receive regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. My goal is simple: to provide loving, reliable care so both you and your pet can feel comfortable and confident during your time apart. I can't wait to meet your furry family members! I currently am working an internship from 9am-3pm M-F, but can be available outside of those hours any day to take care of your furry friends! I do not mind waking up early or staying out late to provide the care your pets need! I understand that every pet has different needs and personalities, so I tailor my care to each individual animal. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or shy and independent, I strive to create a calm, safe, and positive experience. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident knowing your pet is being well cared for while you're away. I treat every pet and home with the same respect and attention that I would expect for my own.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lauderdale
This was my first time using Rover as a customer and not a sitter and I’m very pleased with my experience in hiring Elizabeth! She was punctual, curious, and made sure she had all the info needed to care for our pets☺️ when I came home, they all seemed so calm and happy so I will definitely be reaching out should I need her services again!

When Billie takes care of my dog, she pays close attention to the skills he’s working on, and provides clear updates on how things went during their time together. She’s thoughtful about anticipating needs. For example, she prepared a Kong and left it in the freezer, so it would be ready for my dog to enjoy later. :)

Thank you so much! The dogs were well cared for and happy! Abigail went above and beyond and carried in two heavy packages for us as well. She did a great job communicating before, during, and after the visits to reassure us that our Pyrenees was getting more comfortable and things were going well. She handled our other jumpy dog great too! Would absolutely book Abigail again!

Cindy was perfect. She seems to truly care about dogs, especially ours. It was a comfort to know she could drop in twice to care for our Dear Floyd on our daughter’s wedding day. She followed all instructions and kept us updated. It was a comfort and a relief.

Mad did a drop by visit with our two dogs, in preparation for a longer stay ahead with them. Mad was conscientious and attentive with our dogs, and very willing to do what was necessary to help them feel comfortable (especially one of our dogs, who finds meeting new people a little scary). Mad clearly understands dogs and has a wealth of experience to draw from. We feel confident our dogs are in good hands!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Lauderdale with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
