“Shelby did an amazing job with both our pets. Highly recommend! Sent lots of pictures and took great care of them. We will definitely have Shelby back next time we are out of town.”

About: I've cared for two dogs as I grew up, and look forward to caring for more. I have done many long walks and dog park hiking with my golden doodle, and have also done some training as well. I know how to take care of puppies and adult dogs, but would love to learn how to take care of special needs and senior dogs. Dogs, like mine, are energetic and need lots of exercise, so I am always willing to play or exercise with dogs. Over the summer (June-August), I am free most afternoons and some evenings the whole week. During the school year, (September-May) I am more available during the weekends, but still free during some afternoon/evenings during the week, which I'll update as I get my schedule. At home, I care for my dog by giving him plenty of snuggles, but also getting up and playing with him when he lets me know he wants to play. I am alert and can sense what my dog may need, such as going potty, playing, or eating. When walking/going to the dog park, I watch over my dog at all times, and walk along with him. During walks, I make sure that he is safe to walk and sniff the whole time. At dog parks, I encourage him to meet other dogs and run around while still being present. I notice when my dog gets tired or needs water, and I am prepared by bringing a water bottle.
“Our cats love Christy! She has taken care of them several times now - she is always conscientious, caring, a good communicator, and a true cat lover. We feel much more at ease knowing she is watching our cats. Highly recommend!”

About: Having grown up with dogs (big and small), I have extensive experience with pups of various breeds and temperaments. I have also worked in a professional capacity as a dog walker, and love tiring out even the most energetic little guys. I work freelance and have a flexible schedule with time for plenty of sunny summer daytime walks. Whether you are looking for a weekday walk while youre at work or a weekend drop in while on vacation, I can make most situations work in my schedule! With extensive experience walking and sitting for a variety of dogs and cats, I know how to make sure your furry family member is as possible comfortable with a new face!
About: I am currently on the pre-veterinary track studying to work with animals as my career. I have completed an internship with the wildlife rehabilitation center as a mammal nursery intern and am currently a kennel assistant at a veterinary hospital. I am currently a full time university student but have plenty of availability and flexibility. I am open to moving my days’ schedule around to fit different pet needs! I ensure that there is a mutual respect and understanding between humans and pets. It is important to treat your pets as you would people, and show care and affection as they truly understand it.
“Sonia was AMAZING! Our cats are usually a little scared of new people but after the second visit, they both came out to get pets from her. Sonia was very communicative, kind, and really loves animals. I recommend her to any cat owners, and I will definitely use her services again. 10/10”
About: My family has ALWAYS had large dogs, in addition to cats and other animals. I love walking dogs and playing with them. I know how much personalities vary. I know how to deal with skittish dogs. I work until 2 pm most days and am free after that. I am very flexible outside of this. I have a calendar that will enable me to keep track of all appointments. At this time, I would only be able to take care of animals at the client's home. I will follow instruction to the letter, especially with medications or special diets.
“Abby was so wonderful with my cats! They could sense that she was a kind and calm person, and they took to her right away, which they do not do with other people. She sent wonderful, entertaining pictures, which helped us feel that they were in very good hands. I will definitely be calling Abby again.”

“Tanya was friendly, punctual, and reliable. She sent me the cutest photos of my kitty while I was away and communicated with me when there was an issue with my home alarm. I would definitely trust her with my Xochitl again.”

“Marissa took care of my 3 y/o poodle, Milo, while I was traveling internationally. We had never left him for more than 5 days before. We left him at home and she dropped in several times per day. Marissa also took him on outings and spent extra time in our home so he wouldn’t feel so lonely. She helped keep his anxiety at bay and provided compassionate fun-loving care ?. She remained responsive to my questions (and add-on drop-in requests) at all times, despite her own crazy schedule. ? He clearly loved her and missed her while she was away as well ! Will definitely keep her in mind for future visits, etc. Synopsis: Book this girl for your pet care! ✅ ?”

About: I have grown up with all sorts of dogs of all sizes. I have taken part in both training and caring for our family dogs, and there has not been a dog that I do not immediately love. Being with dogs is always entertaining and extremely rewarding. I am not currently working, and I have a lot of free time during my summer before my junior year of college. I am available at any time of day, and my schedule is very flexible until I start working in June. I am responsible for walking, feeding, and caring for our three dogs when my parents are working. It’s very common for me to spend time with my dogs in my down time such as playing with and accompanying them.
“Elizabeth always goes above and beyond to care for our dogs. You can tell this is her priority above all else, and always ensures they are safe and taken care of. 10/5 would recommend”

About: I have taken care of dogs, cats, rabbits, lizards, parrots and fish. Growing up there was Nothing better than coming home and caring for my pets. Growing up I always wanted to work with animals and although life took me in another direction professionally, by taking care of the pets of friends and family, I was able to incorporate that desire into my daily life. As an experienced Pet sitter I will use my passion for animals to ensure your pet is well taken care of as well to ensure a fun time for your pet and me. I have had the opportunity as a teenager and through college to use my time to pet sit as a side hustle. And the way that I see it not only was a way to make some money but a great stress relief. During this time, I walked dogs, went to pet owners houses to feed them and have them over for a fun time. I currently work from home and I'm available 24/7 to care for your pet by having them over or by going to your place of preference. I'm open nights, weekends or holidays. And I accept same day or emergency requests. I live in a spacious loft apartment surrounded by plenty of green space for a walk on a leash and also a gated space for dogs to run. I offer being a dog walker at my place or at your place if you prefer. I'm also a fan of pictures if your furry friend likes and sending them over to the pet owner if desired.
About: I've loved dogs and cats since I was nine, when I got (or made my parents get) my first doggo (Nahla). Later on, I snuck a kitten from my aunts hobby farm into our car, and he’s stayed with us ever since (Vinnie). Nahla and Vinnie are such love bugs, and I absolutely love animals of all kinds (yes, I even have four pet spiders). While I’m new to dog walking/pet sitting as a formal side-job, I bring years of hands-on experience caring for my own dog/cat and those of my extended family. I’m reliable, respectful, and attentive to each animals unique needs and routine, whether that means a calm stroll, pets, or an energetic adventure. I understand that your dog/cat is part of your family, and I treat every walk (drop-in) with that level of care. I’m happy to provide updates, follow instructions closely, and make sure your dog/cat feels safe, loved, and happy every step of the way. I'm currently a PhD student, but during the summer, all of my work is research-based and done remotely. That means I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability throughout the week. Pet care fits in naturally -- I love taking breaks from the computer to get outside, stretch my legs, and spend time with my dog (her name is Nahla). Walks and check-ins are easy to plan around my research, and I enjoy the balance it brings to my day. I follow any routines or instructions closely -- whether that means feeding schedules, medications, crate time, or favorite walking routes. I always make sure pets have fresh water, get the exercise and attention they need, and feel relaxed while their people are away. In someone else’s home, I’m respectful of their space and aim to leave everything just as I found it. I’m also happy to provide updates and photos to give peace of mind. My goal is to make things as smooth and stress-free as possible for both pets and their humans

Lauderdale dog parents share their Rover experiences
Mad did a drop by visit with our two dogs, in preparation for a longer stay ahead with them. Mad was conscientious and attentive with our dogs, and very willing to do what was necessary to help them feel comfortable (especially one of our dogs, who finds meeting new people a little scary). Mad clearly understands dogs and has a wealth of experience to draw from. We feel confident our dogs are in good hands!

Sara was a great drop-in sitter for my cat and dog! I recently adopted my dog and wanted someone to check on her (and my cat) over lunchtime when I had work obligations. Sara’s visit and report card provided me peace of mind. Sara was also willing to meet my pets ahead of the actual visit and I really appreciated that! When I came home to my pets, both were happy and relaxed and I could tell Sara’s visit really made the difference. I would highly recommend Sara!

Kennedy dropped in to let out my dog and my daughters’ dogs, while we attended a funeral. I had to add the third dog at the last minute and she was very accommodating. She communicated with me each time she visited. She was reliable and conscientious . I would definitely recommend her.
