I worked at a doggy daycare during undergrad, and it remains one of the most rewarding jobs I’ve ever had. Through that experience, I became comfortable managing dogs with a wide range of personalities, energy levels, and needs. Now, as a full-time teacher, I’m looking for something flexible that still allows me to do what I love. I recently lost my senior dog who required daily medication and specialized mobility care, which gave me firsthand experience with attentive, patient, and detail-oriented pet care. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I approach every visit with that same level of responsibility and compassion. I’ll treat your furry family members like my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.

With my experience working at a doggy daycare, I’ve developed a variety of approaches to safely care for and support pets with different needs, personalities, and routines. I prioritize a calm, secure, and consistent environment while closely following your care instructions. I’m also a big communicator! I know how much it means to stay connected, so you can expect plenty of updates and photos of your furry family members while you’re away.

Billie was so sweet and great to work with. She communicated often with cute updates on my pups and I could tell they were happy in all the pics, enjoying their time with her. One of my dogs needs meds every 12 hours and Billie even let me know she’d administered it. Highly recommend and know the pups will be happy to see her again when I have future travels.
When Billie takes care of my dog, she pays close attention to the skills he’s working on, and provides clear updates on how things went during their time together. She’s thoughtful about anticipating needs. For example, she prepared a Kong and left it in the freezer, so it would be ready for my dog to enjoy later. :)
Billie was so gracious about accepting a last minute request! She’s also great about providing detailed updates on my dog’s eating habits, potty, and walks. I appreciate how thorough she is with Archie’s care!

Billie provides such engaged and thoughtful care of Archie. This was her second time watching Archie, so Billie asked me about any updates to his care. She's patient with Archie's energy and consistent in trying to reinforce his good behaviors. Billie is great about sharing updates and pictures too!
I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Billie. From the moment she first met our (three!) dogs, we just knew she was someone we could trust fully and completely with our fur babies. She truly went above and beyond - I think all of our pups wish she would just move in! We WILL be booking with her again.

Schedule
As a full-time teacher, I’m typically available on weekdays starting around 4 PM, with flexibility to check in on pets through the evening (up to 10 PM). I do have a few schedule exceptions, but I’m always happy to communicate and find times that work. I’m also up early and need to be at school by 7 AM.
