About: I have taken care of both my two dogs since I was 8 years old. I have trained both of my dogs, fed, and walked them daily. I have also house sat for two other dogs. One was less than 8 months old and the other was 2 years old. I house sat those two yorkies for a week. I am not working this summer so I will be able to take care of your pets 24/7. I am an animal lover and will take great care of your babies as if they were my own. I am flexible with strictness of schedules and particular pets as I know some animals have their quirks. I have one friendly beagle who is 9 years old. She is very laid back and typically spends most of her day voluntarily in her crate. She goes on daily walks but these can also be separated from your pet walks if needed.
About: I have grown up with dogs in the household while I currently do not have any dogs due to my two cats and living in a rental that doesn’t allow any more than two pets. I love dog sitting for my friends and family when they go out of town! I have worked with small to large dogs, dogs with special medication need's, dogs with behavioral issues/needs and puppies. I currently work from home Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday anywhere between 8 AM to 7 PM depending on my work schedule it changes weekly but I’m more then flexible it fit in walks or drop in visits. My weekends normally consist of just relaxing at home so I thought why not look into helping people with their beloved pets in the evening and on Saturdays and Sundays. Unfortunately, with my two cats living in a townhome rental, I won’t be doing services in my home, however, if I dog sit in your home I will make sure that your pet gets all the correct meals needed, on time medication‘s if needed, and plenty of play times and cuddles with walks throughout the day or as requested!
“Lucy is a very kind person, and my dogs love her. She comes and walks them twice a week when I’m busy with school and they are SO happy to get to spend some time outside with her. She sends photos and gives me little updates on them, and it makes me feel better about leaving my big, grown up babies.”

“Alexandra was absolutely wonderful with our dogs. She’s always on time, communicative, friendly and so caring to the dogs. Will always use her for our dog sitting needs!!!”

“Kathy was wonderful with my aunts cat. Last minute unexpected medications didn’t faze her. She was flexible and kind and gentle, winning the cats trust to make the process smooth and as easy on the cat as possible. She did the necessary daily chores then spent time loving and playing with Meka. She is a good communicator, easing my aunt’s stress with pictures and daily updates. We will definitely invite her into our home again!”

“Amy is a great cat sitter! We just adopted our cats and left them for the first time, I was very nervous and anxious of leaving them alone but Amy made us feel more relaxed after seeing how responsible and great she was with them. She followed all instructions and showed up on every visit, she sent plenty of pictures and responded quick to messages, she was very nice with our cats and they liked her right away. I definitely recommend her and trust her to take care of our cats again!”

“Rachel is an absolute gem! She took such amazing care of our two dogs, Lucy and Cocoa, and we couldn’t be more grateful. From the first meet-and-greet, it was clear she’s a true animal lover with a warm, calm presence that immediately put us—and our pups—at ease. She kept us updated with photos and messages, and it was obvious that Lucy and Cocoa were having the time of their lives. Whether it was playtime, snuggles, or sticking to their routines, Rachel handled everything perfectly. We came home to two very happy, well-loved dogs! Rachel is reliable, professional, and just genuinely wonderful. We honestly don’t know what we’d do without her. And just a friendly PSA to other pet parents—Rachel is amazing, but we definitely call first dibs on her! 😄 Highly, highly recommend!”

“Katie did fantastic! She was able to give Sevie his meds right in his mouth. She took very good care of him when we were out of town and we appreciate the care she took of our fur baby.”

“Alma did an amazing job with our 4 cats! Loved getting the pics and updates while we were on our family vacation out west. She went above & beyond in every way, and was able to give meds to our cat with asthma like a pro. Highly recommend! Huge thanks, Alma! Your love of animals shines through.”

“Perla did a great job looking after our 2 cats while we were away on vacation for 11 days. She took time to send us photos every day and took great care of keeping up on their food/water/litterbox. Our cats are normally very shy and took to her immediately, I will 100% use her services in the future 😊”

“Jennifer is very conscientious and helpful. She is a wonderful communicator and has done a great job both times we have hired her services. We hope that she is available again next year!”

“I have never used a drop in service before. What a Wonderful experience, for both me and my dog! He is a very old dog that would not tolerate a kennel and so I took a chance leaving him at home, with Hannah stopping by four times a day. She sent pictures with every visit, a note with updates and how his day was going. My pup was happy to see us when we got home, but without the stress - for us all! We will definitely reach out to Hannah the next time we need her!!”

About: I’ve had dogs and various pets my whole life and now my sons do too. We have a 40 lb, 1.5 yr old Bernedoodle at home. We recently said goodbye to a Boston Terrier. My sons (10 & 13 yrs) want to help and earn some money and make this a family event learning some responsibility along the way. I’ll be there at all times and will be fully responsible. I took 20+ training sessions with my two recent dogs at tails up trainers. I work remotely about half the time and we are often available to take your dog for a walk or check in on your pets! We have a fenced in yard but also take our dog for many walks. We have experience cleaning dishes, feeding food and treats, giving meds, and giving baths. We love to play with toys and teach tricks and play fetch.
“Melissa is exceptionally caring and had a wonderful approach with our Great Dane, Kota. She left the perfect level of details after each of her visits and was thoughtful about our dogs knee (recovering from surgery) while still giving her plenty of time to play. Our dog was clearly comfortable and happy to see Melissa each visit- which is saying a lot for an anxious pup! Could not recommend Melissa more highly!!”

“Christina was wonderful! She watched our dog when we were out of town for the weekend. She was very prompt with updates and photos from each visit! Our dog looked very happy in each photo!! We enjoyed our trip even more knowing she was in good hands with Christina!”

“I have a special needs senior dog and had a last minute emergency. Breanca was available to drop in and check on my dogs. It was so very convenient and she sent me pictures and videos and made me feel at ease. :) 5 stars”

“Sammy took care of our two cats as if they were her own and it is clear that both of our cats enjoyed her company, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Sammy is extremely friendly, trustworthy, and it’s obvious she is a huge animal lover. During our meet and greet, Sammy sat down on the floor to be at our cat’s level and she connected with our 2 cats very quickly. We will definitely book with her again. Thank you SO much for taking such great care of our cats, Sammy!!”

Perla did a great job looking after our 2 cats while we were away on vacation for 11 days. She took time to send us photos every day and took great care of keeping up on their food/water/litterbox. Our cats are normally very shy and took to her immediately, I will 100% use her services in the future 😊

We would definitely recommend Rachael for any future pet sitting needs! She was very professional and accommodated our last minute holiday request with flexibility too. She was consistent with our requested schedule and communicated well each visit. We would definitely plan to hire her again!
Olivia was great! It's our first time to use Rover, and we're glad we chose the right sitter. Our kitties loved her and one of them showed his belly which is his sign of approval! One of them vomited (which she cleaned up) and she came back that same night on her own initiative to check on them, which was very much appreciated.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
