“Katherine was so wonderful! Nash can be selective and protective of me and his home, but he warmed up to her quickly and we will definitely be booking for Katherine again!”

“Melissa is exceptionally caring and had a wonderful approach with our Great Dane, Kota. She left the perfect level of details after each of her visits and was thoughtful about our dogs knee (recovering from surgery) while still giving her plenty of time to play. Our dog was clearly comfortable and happy to see Melissa each visit- which is saying a lot for an anxious pup! Could not recommend Melissa more highly!!”

About: I have pet sat for family members and friends. I also have worked at Wag’n Wash and have a lot of experience with all different types of breeds and temperaments. I know how to properly handle and deal with most if not all situations. I am home for the summer from college in the middle of May, and after I’m home I will be free most of the week with some errands and stuff I have to do in between some days. So I will be able to house sit during the week or just take them on walks or check up on them, depending on what the client wants to do. I work weekends but am able to take breaks and stop by the house if needed. I will insure all the care is specialized to each animal and what service I provide for them. With each pet I will come up with a specific care plan for them and review it with the owner to insure they get a say in what happened while they are gone.
“Lucy was wonderful as always. She was able to do a last minute check in on my pups, and they adore her. She’s wonderful at communication and is a very patient person with both dogs and me!”

About: I have had experience caring for dogs of all ages and breeds. I have a very open and flexible schedule, and love working with animals! I’ve just moved to the area from Florida where I was working full time in pet care, so I’m looking to build back up my clientele and do what I love the most which is helping others take care of their pets! I’m in an apartment so I don’t currently offer any boarding services. However, I’m happy to provide exercise and play time with your animals and give them all my love and care!
About: I've housesat and looked after friend's pets (both cats and dogs, young and old) for well over a decade and have attracted multiple new clients through word of mouth. I love getting to know your pets and keeping them company while you're away. I also have some experience with pet medications and disabilities for older pets. I work full-time Mon-Fri in Lakeville from roughly 8am-5pm, so generally weekends are best for me for housesitting (Friday nights through Sundays), though staying overnight on weekdays are just as viable depending on location and frequency of daily pet care. Drop-in visits are similar, though weekdays are much easier to schedule for early mornings or evenings. Details can easily be negotiated through text or in-person meet-ups. I try to stick to any routines or schedules you have with your pets (walking, feeding, treat giving, playtime, bedtime etiquette, etc). While housesitting, I'll usually stay at your home as much as I can during the week and almost all day on weekends to keep your pets company by playing or chilling with them depending on their level of activity. When I leave, I make sure everything from last-minute potty breaks to washing any bedsheets I use is taken care of before I leave. For drop-ins, I'll stay with your pet for however long you need. I'll also take pictures throughout my stay so you know your furry friend is doing alright (or if I catch them being silly!)
About: I’ve always loved dogs and have a passion to make sure they get to love their life to the fullest. My dream is to own a hobby farm full of adopted dogs! I work Monday-Friday but have a flexible schedule and would love to fit your pet in when I can! I would love to spend all of my free time caring for your fur baby. I have two fur babies at home who love making new friends! I will care for your pet in my home or yours in any way that will make your pet feel like nothing has changed.
“Eden was fantastic taking care of my furballs while I was gone! They loved him and came out to visit every time which is very rare for one of my kitties. I felt great relief knowing they were being taken care of everyday.”

“Jaci is wonderful with my little baby. She always goes above and beyond to make sure my puppy is comfortable and well fed. I travel a lot so I try to book her as often as I can. I don’t know what I would do without her!”

About: I've had pets my entire life ranging from small to medium dogs and currently 2 adorable cats. I grew up with a family member that was in the vet industry and one of my closest friends and his significant other are currently in the field. I've had plenty of exposure to animals from all backgrounds! Currently I work remote 2-3 days out of the week, and the remaining travel to Minneapolis to go into the office. Depending on the needs of the animals I would be available in the early mornings and late afternoons through the night. Depending on the location and the day I might also have availability for lunchtime activities! My wife currently works fully remote so our animals are typically never without a human, and are very affectionate as a result. I love giving animals attention and making sure that they are getting their daily exercise and fulfillment! While my wife helps care for our animals please note that I will be the sole caregiver.

About: Hi! My name is Aurora and I’ve had dogs for my whole life. I’m very communicative and if you’re someone who likes updates and pictures of your pets then I think I would be a great option for you! I have experience taking care of both dogs and cats, and I am comfortable with all sizes of dogs (I grew up with big dogs). I currently work at the MN Zoo as a barista. I’m a morning person and my shifts never start before 8:30 so I can do morning walks, and I am usually free most evenings and nights. My work schedule is also very flexible so feel free to tell me what you need and I will try to accomodate you as best as I can! I enjoy house sitting along with pet sitting because it ensures that your pet is in their most comfortable environment while you are away. I love to spoil pets with love and attention. I’m a very dedicated petsitter and will always put a great amount of effort in!
About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up around a veterinary clinic and have worked as a veterinary assistant for the past 7 years, giving me hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. Through both clinic work and pet sitting, I’m comfortable administering medications, caring for senior pets, handling anxious or nervous animals, and working with puppies who may need extra supervision, potty breaks, patience, or routine reinforcement. I recently graduated from Bradley University and currently have a flexible schedule for walks, drop-ins, and house sitting throughout the week and weekends. I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening visits and can work around your pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, medications, playtime, and bedtime routines. I’m especially comfortable with pets who need more frequent check-ins, senior pets who may need extra attention, and puppies who benefit from structured routines and regular potty breaks throughout the day. I also love keeping owners updated and am happy to send regular messages and photos so you know how your pet is doing. Creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for pets is very important to me. Because of my 7 years of experience working in a veterinary clinic, I’m comfortable reading animal behavior, administering medications, handling nervous pets, and responding calmly in stressful situations if needed. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always try to keep their routine as consistent as possible. I pay close attention to feeding instructions, medications, walk schedules, potty routines, and any special care requests so pets feel comfortable and secure in their familiar environment.
About: I’m a patient, caring, and dependable person who genuinely loves animals! My background in early childhood education has taught me responsibility, communication, and attentiveness, and I bring those same qualities into pet care. Whether your pet loves playtime, walks, cuddles, or just needs someone calm and comforting around, I’ll make sure they feel safe and happy while you’re away. I also love sending photo updates so you always know how your pet is doing! I currently have a flexible schedule, which gives me plenty of time to provide attentive care and playtime for your pets! I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting throughout the week and most weekends. I’m also happy to work with your pet’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable and stress-free Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I make sure pets are supervised, secure, and treated like family while in my care. I’ll carefully follow feeding schedules, potty breaks, medication instructions, and any routines your pet is used to. I also provide regular photo and message updates so you can feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for
“Claire did a great job for our puppy! She was on time, great with communication, and sweet and kind with our pup. I appreciate her approach with our dog. She was gentle and understood his limits and urges as a young dog. Thanks Claire!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Rosemount
I found myself in a bind when my cat needed a run to the emergency vet and they prescribed daily meds and treatments the same week I had a vacation planned. I panicked, as I was leaving for my trip the very next day. I reached out to Raelynn, she was very responsive to my request and was able to get the treatments and meds done while I was away without any issue. Thanks to her I came home to a happy and healthy cat! Anytime any of my pets need anything again I’ll be reaching back out to her before anyone else. 5 stars!

Elizabeth did a great job, taking care of our fur baby! I could tell by the picture is how happy Olive was around her. Elizabeth was very communicative and answered my questions in a timely manner. I would definitely refer and request Elizabeth again. Thank you so much!

We’re new to Rover and feel so lucky to have found Kaitlyn. She was incredibly attentive and truly went above and beyond our expectations. From the start, we felt completely at ease knowing our pets were in such great hands. We couldn’t have asked for a better first experience and will absolutely be booking with her again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
