About: I’ve taken care of my neighbors cats and dogs for 12 years whenever they needed! This includes walking, feeding, and other care for their pets. My family has a wire fox terrier that I helped train and take care of as needed. I’m available any day during the week in the mornings and evenings! I am also available during the weekends too to care for your pets! My house sits on an acre of land and has areas nearby to walk where I would walk my dog. In my client’s home, I will treat their pets like my own and treat them with care.
“Rachel did an amazing job with our 2 pups!!! She kept us updated and even washed the blanket one of our dogs got sick on which she didn’t have to do at all. The house was very clean when we got home. She followed all instructions. Even did the extras like collecting the mail & bringing up the trash cans. We will be using her again for sure!!”

“Lia & Steven were wonderful!! Our dogs were so loved and well cared for while we were away. They provided many updates and pictures and were great at communicating! We will absolutely use them again and are so happy we found them!!”

“Jacqueline was amazing with our 3 dogs! She gave updates throughout the day and our doggies were so happy when we got home. We will definitely use her again!”

“Leah was great with my 2 high energy dogs. We left for several days and I never had to worry. The dogs both liked her and had lots of fun. Leah kept in touch and sent some pictures. I would recommend Leah to other pet owners looking for quality care for their furry friends.”

“Emma was so great with our girls! They can be very anxious and she was patient and sweet with them. She was very communicative and sent us lots of great pictures. We would definitely use Emma again!”

“Caitlin was communicative, kind and gentle with our Paco. She had our little guy cuddling all night long, and even reached out for a question he had in regard to his needs that I didn't address earlier. She was flexible in getting to the hotel exactly when I needed her there! We would book her again in a heartbeat! Thank you Caitlin!”

About: I have helped take care of dogs and cats since high school. I have helped with pets of all ages, including senior pets. I'm happy to be active with pets and walk and play with dogs. I also work full-time and will be mostly available on weekends. I do work from home as much as I can and can be flexible with that some of the time. I can take care of small dogs in my own home. Typically, I take care of pets at clients' homes and am open to any instructions needed to do so.
“Cassidy is the best! She stayed with our pets for 5 nights and all went so well. She walked Honey, gave our cat her meds and kept us updated as needed. We’re so grateful for her help!”

About: I walk dogs usually 4 times a day. They absolutely love being outside rest assure your dog will not be lying around all day unless that is something you would like me to do. One thing I provide that other sitters don't is 24/7 companionship. The dogs and I get really attached to each other and we rarely leave each others side. I like to stay home and when we are not out 99% of the time we are together. I'm sure most of the sitters don't take the time to spend with your dog the way I do. Also every single dog I have had sleeps, lounges, and just hangs out in my bed. Some love cuddling with me. I'm excellent at communicating with the Pet Parents with Pictures, Text, and Details if that's your preference. For your own peace of mind. I also have a million dollar insurance policy for all of our protection including the dogs of course. Also I am a walker. I walk 70 miles a month. I'm 60 years old and retired this is all I do. I only take certain dogs and I can only handle a certain amount of dogs per month. Thank you very much for your time and consideration! I am retired and this is my only job so I am available 24/7. I have 4 great walking paths outside without barely leaving the block. Very little traffic great neighborhood right by the Eagan Outlets Stores. As far as safety and environment I have excellent insurance if anything would happen! You never know! I live in a small 32 unit building with a great walking area here on the property.
“Julie did a wonderful job taking care of my senior dog with separation anxiety. She was extremely patient with him and was happy and relaxed when I returned. I especially appreciated all of the updates and photos she sent. Definitely planning to book again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Eagan
Olivia was wonderful. She kept us updated regularly. Ernie sometimes seems sad even when we come back from being put of town but he was his joyful self when we got home this time because he had a great time with Olivia. The house was like she had never been there. We would love to have Olivia stay again!

Maliya was amazing! Our pets loved her, especially our dog. She sent the perfect amount of pictures and updates on how the pets were doing. She even got our cat, who is normally very shy of new people, to come out and spend time around her. She was very respectful of our space and we will be rebooking her in the future. Highly recommend!

Ellie did a great job taking care of our menagerie while we were out of town. Our dogs, Keba and Elvis, were excited to see her and they did very well with her. Our difficult cat, Jasper, also sat on her lap on the couch which is amazing! We highly recommend Ellie for taking care of your furbabies. They will be happy, relaxed, and well taken care of.

Janet was absolutely amazing! She gave each of our dogs personalized care. She asked thoughtful questions and really listened. She took great care of our very old dog. She gave him his medicine and even got up with him at night with no complaints. One of the best dog sitters we've ever hired! Would absolutely have her watch our dogs again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Eagan walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Eagan maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Eagan choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
