“This was our first experience using Topsy for doggie daycare and we couldn’t be happier! Our Yorkie was very much at home and comfortable. She has a nice space in the fenced in yard. She was very flexible and we were confident that our dog was loved up in his home away from home.”

About: For the past four years, our neighbors and close friends have trusted us to care for their dogs during vacations and holidays, with stays ranging from one to five weeks. We adopted our friendly rescue dog, Iggy, from a local shelter in 2021 when he was six months old. He quickly became a neighborhood favorite and even inspired two of our friends to adopt dogs of their own! Our family loves dogs, and Iggy enjoys having friendly dogs around as playmates. I board **only one guest dog at a time**, providing personalized attention in a calm, family home. Guest dogs enjoy **3–4 walks daily**, playtime, affection, and plenty of supervision. I currently have a flexible schedule and am home throughout the day to provide attentive care. For safety and compatibility with Iggy, I currently accept guest dogs **up to approximately 70 lbs.** We only welcome one guest dog at a time, allowing us to give your dog the individual attention they deserve. I currently have a flexible schedule and am home throughout the day, so your dog will receive plenty of companionship, playtime, and supervision. We take three to four walks every day, following the same routine we use for our own dog, Iggy. When they're not out exploring, your dog can relax, play, and enjoy spending time with Iggy in a calm, loving home environment. Your dog's safety and happiness are our top priorities. We live in a quiet, dog-friendly neighborhood with nearby community and regional parks, wide walking paths, and plenty of green space away from busy roads. It's common to see neighbors walking their dogs throughout the day, creating a welcoming environment for pets. We only board one guest dog at a time, so your dog will receive personalized care without the stress of a crowded boarding environment. We treat every dog like a member of our own family and always follow each owner's feeding, exercise, and care instructions.
About: I walk dogs usually 3 or 4 times a day. They absolutely love being outside rest assure your dog will not be lying around all day unless that is something you would like me to do. One thing I provide that other sitters don't is 24/7 companionship. The dogs and I get really attached to each other and we rarely leave each others side. I like to stay home and when we are not out 99% of the time we are together. I'm sure most of the sitters don't take the time to spend with your dog the way that I do. I'm excellent at communicating with Pictures, Text, and Details if that's your preference. For your own peace of mind. I have a 300,000 dollar insurance policy for all of our protection including the dogs of course. I'm 60 years old and retired this is all I do. I only take certain dogs and I can only handle a certain amount of dogs per month.Walking is obviously determined by your dogs age, fitness, etc. I am a walker I walk well over 70 miles a month. Great neighborhood with 4 walking paths outside across the street from the Eagan Outlets Stores. Thank you very much for your consideration. I am retired and this is my only job so I am available 24/7. I have 4 great walking paths outside without barely leaving the block. Very little traffic great neighborhood right by the Eagan Outlets Stores. As far as safety and environment I have a 300,000.00 insurance policy for all of our protection including the dogs of course! I live in a excellent neighborhood right by the Eagan Outlets Stores.
About: We both grew up with dogs and adopted our first two dogs together more than 10 years ago. Currently we have LuLu, a lab-mix, and Scooby, a golden retriever-corgi mix. I work from home most days and love the company of furry dog companions. We enjoy taking walks with the dogs, either by sidewalk or park trails that are close-by. We have leads out the back patio door for quick potty breaks for your fur family-member as well. Dogs can free roam in the house or be gated to a smaller area per their owner’s preference. The kids enjoy helping with the dogs and are good at respecting boundaries and are not very loud. We have individual food bowls that are dishwasher cleaned each meal.

About: We are a dog-loving family, especially of the small variety! I have been taking care of dogs for most of my life and began sitting through Rover three years ago. We are a homeschool family, so my 9 and 7-year-old daughters enjoy helping with feeding, playing with, and cuddling the pups. We also have a one-year-old son, so the doggies we take must be ok with small children. Our 12-year-old Shih Tzu, Dulce, also really enjoys having doggy company, and we only accept small dogs to accommodate her. We promise to treat your sweet pup like he/she is a beloved member of the family! We homeschool so someone is usually available for a quick potty break or belly rub! Walking outdoors (in nice weather) is a favorite family activity so we try to take the dogs out daily. In the event we don’t make it out on a walk, the pups get their exercise and sniffs in by playing in the backyard. Our dog Dulce loves to have a partner in crime chasing squirrels our large fenced backyard! We are an active family with two girls (ages 9 & 7) and a 1-year-old son who also love to play and interact with the dogs. Our house has hardwood floors for easy cleaning. Guest doggies are welcome to sleep next to our bed on their doggy bed, or if they sneak up to find a cozy spot next to our feet we won’t complain!
“Julia responded quickly, was available to watch our pug Franny on short notice, and is very friendly. Franny immediately liked Julia upon meeting her, and Julia made us feel comfortable that Franny would be well taken care of. Would highly recommend her!”

“Walter had a great day with Jie. Appreciated the pics and photos to ease my first day nerves. I can feel the love and kindness that went toward Walter. Looking forward to more days with Jie!”

“My fearful dog has become comfortable very quickly with Emily. She doesn’t usually like strangers but Emily understands and doesn’t try to push her. I’m glad we found a good match for day care.”

About: I've had animals all my life (from hamsters and goldfish to cats, small and big dogs). I've sat for friends and others who have had big dogs, small dogs, cats and dogs with special needs (administering diabetes injections, medications, diapers, those with mobility issues, etc. and am not intimidated by any condition). I've also been a volunteer for RAGOM (Rescue a Golden of the Midwest) for over 20 years and have transported dogs, interviewed potential adopters with ALWAYS the dog's care in mind for their best forever home. I have just retired recently and have found my calling with my compassion for all animals. I just love their unconditional love and feel so much joy in caring for them! I am recently retired and available all day and all night .. I love to go out and walk/play with my dog every day! My routine would fit whatever is needed by your pet, am very flexible. I do not have a fenced in yard, but have 1/2 acre lot on a corner .... my dog usually goes out on a tie out, but dogs I have sat in my home, I would take out on a leash in the yard and on lots of walks (yes, even in the wee hours of the morning in the winter!) I would do the same or whatever direction the client would request if at their home as well.
“This was Zildjian’s first Rover experience and it couldn't have gone better. Leanna was great and allowed me the opportunity to test put how he would do with a shorter than usual stay (4 hours). She was very accommodating and communicative. I could tell he liked her even though he starts out meeting new people a little in a vocal manner. He trotted right along side her into the house and the photos I saw of him playing with the other dogs showed me that he enjoyed his time. I would not hesitate to bring him to play again in the future!”

I work full time at a nursing home and do this part time !! I have had dogs in my life for a very long time since I was a little kid. We have had many dogs around while I was growing up and many breeds. Currently I have a 4 year old golden retriever and a 9 year old shorkie that live with me now. I love going on walks and runs with them and going to the park. My son also comes with us he is 16 months old right now and loves dogs also. He really loves small ones and loves to run around with the big ones. I am also home all the time so I will be dedicated to helping you and your family and giving you guys the best service I possibly can. I am someone who loves to make everyone around me happy. I am very committed to taking care of your fur babies as my own and meeting all needs and expectations. I promise happy experiences for everyone ! And can’t wait too meet you and your fur baby!! I am home all the time so I am always outside with your fur babies or relaxing inside together! I am able to dedicate a lot of time to them Fully Fenced in yard all around! Whenever I let a dog out I am also outside with them to insure safety and to make sure they do not try and run away.
“This was my dogs' first daycare date with Dana. We had a meet & greet a few days before and all went well so today was a full day of daycare. My dogs came home happy and tired. But even better than that was their excitement when we arrived this morning - SO ready to be back at the meet & greet place! Dana sent pictures and a couple of reports during the day which were much appreciated. My dogs say they'd love to go back to Dana's!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Eagan
Our two dogs had a wonderful first day at Topsy's. They were both happy and relaxed when I picked them up and brought them home. Topsy communicated throughout the day and sent cute pics of our dogs which is always appreciated but especially when it is the first time. Our kids tease us and say our dogs are our favorite children, and they are not far from the truth! So it always makes us feel good to find someone who likes and cares for our dogs. We will definitely bring our them to Topsy's again!

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
