“Angela provides a kind, loving and stable second home to our rescue German shepherd mix Rufus. With family in the South and West, we take a lot of trips. Rufus can’t come on all of them. Angela is truly a saving angel who does everything she can to be available. Rufus is almost as excited to see her at the beginning of his stay as he is to see us at the end! Can’t recommend enough.”

“Thank you Jenny and Mark! Our older lab was well taken care of and we appreciated the updates and pictures sent over the weekend. Thanks again!”

“Deborah was so good to Jet and very attentive and communicative with our family. We appreciated the frequent updates and pictures that were sent. We will definitely book with Deborah again. 10/10!!”

About: Hi, I have had dogs, horses, cats, hamsters and fish my entire life. There’s nothing I love more than being in the presence of all sweet creatures!! It’s the joy of my life! I am a Certified Reiki Master as well and happy to assist in any additional way you see fit for your pet. I finished my first book a now seeking multiple walks with new furry friends for my own dog! My daughter is off to college also so I have time to snuggle up animals! I have a fenced yard and one dog that misses doggy daycare since I am home full time now. He is about 10 and loves to be outside or generally just assisting in all things I do during the day.
“Kyle provided a comfortable stay for my dog Len's first Rover experience. Even though it was a pretty short stay it was so nice to get pictures and an update on how Len was doing. Will definitely be using Kyle again!”

“Tristan watched my Charlie and Luna and they came back happy and tired. She kept me up to date and sent pictures and felt happy to know they were in good hands!”

“Amanda accepted my dog on a short notice and took very good care of him. Sent me photos and updates which was great. My dog gets very nervous when I'm away but he quickly got comfortable with her, she has excellent patience. 100% recommend.”

“Our dogs were so happy and loved! They felt comfortable enough to show their personalities, and loved their new friends. Even our grumpy old man came around.”

“Aimee and Robert were great with a last minute booking for our nervous girl. In the middle of moving it was so nice to know Ruby was taken care of. She came home relaxed and happy.”

“Shannon and David did AMAZING with my dog. Their communication is top notch and they sent me updates along with pictures while they watched him. I highly recommend and wish I would have found them sooner as I need services a couple of times a year!”

“Dynette is Izzy's favorite pet sitter! She gets so excited to see her and stay with her!! Dynette always has great communication and updates during Izzy's stay. We get to enjoy our get aways knowing Izzy is having a special time being loved on by Dynette!!”

“Keyly took care of our elderly dog in her home, and she was wonderful! At his age, it can be tough to leave him, but I had no worries this time. She took great care of him, provided lots of photos and updates, and made sure he got his daily meds. He was definitely spoiled there and did not want to leave when I came to get him! We are super grateful to Keyly for taking great care of our old guy and would definitely book again. Highly recommend!”

“We had a fantastic experience with our sitter! She was incredibly communicative throughout the entire stay, sending regular updates and adorable pictures of our dogs that really put our minds at ease. Our pups were clearly happy and well cared for, and they loved playing in her spacious, fenced-in backyard with other friendly dogs. When we had to extend the stay unexpectedly due to weather, she was flexible and accommodating without hesitation. I felt completely comfortable leaving our dogs in her care, and it’s clear she genuinely loves what she does. Highly recommend!”

“Kristine does/did a great job watching our pup, JoJo. Excellent communication and picture updates. Also very accommodating to drop-off and pick-up times. Would recommend. 😁”

“It was our first time on the Rover site and we needed someone to board our sweet girls Betsy & Bailey for about 2 weeks. We were moving and we knew they would not do well with all the change at once. And what we found was the best! Jazmin and her great family took them in as if they were their own pups. The love, snuggles and support they received from the entire family was immeasurable. We will be doing this again soon! I’m talking about top notch dog people! We are truly blessed to have found Jazmin!”
“We felt so comfortable leaving Katniss with Sarah and Richard. Right from our meet and greet we knew we'd have no worries leaving her with their family. You can tell that they (and their kids) have such love for animals. We received an evening update with photos and a video each night of Katniss' stay which showed us just how much fun she was having with their dog, Sadie. We will definitely be using Sarah and Richard again in the future!”

“Serah was an amazing person to have as our little Lita’s foster momma while we had an extended vacation. She kept us in the loop with texts and pictures. It was so reassuring to have our pup taken care of and loved as her own. Lita loved the fenced in yard and having Riley, Serah’s dog, as her playmate. We highly recommend Serah. We will definitely choose her again as our first choice in dog sitters.”

Stacy and Michael are wonderful hosts! Their dog, Nina, is such a sweet girl and was great company for my Lyra! They watched her over the 4th of July weekend knowing my Lyra is a bit of a scardy pup. (She gets pretty spooked by fireworks and likes to go hide). They showed a lot of patience and kindness with her, even helped her get unstuck from one of her hiding places. When I arrived Lyra up, they were actively holding and comforting her. These two really care about their guests and I'm not going to hesitate to bring Lyra by again!

Hollie has been so welcoming, responsive, and understanding of our dog's needs. Our dog is sometimes anxious staying in new places, but she settled into Hollie's place very quickly. Hollie was reassuring and sent pictures throughout her short stay. We look forward to our dog staying with her again!

Katie was amazing with our dog Polly while we went away on vacation. We did a meet and greet beforehand so Polly was familiar with her pets and we could make sure it was a good fit. Once it was time to drop her off she couldn’t wait to be back there! Katie sent frequent updates and we had no worries at all while away. I highly recommend her as a sitter and will absolutely use her again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
