About: **Loving Pet Home with Room to Roam!** Hi there! My partner and I are lifelong animal lovers with a spacious home that's perfect for furry guests. We have a big house with plenty of space to play, nap, and feel right at home. Our own pets are super friendly and love making new friends—so your dog or cat will feel like part of the family while you're away! Whether your pet loves lounging in the sun, playing fetch, or curling up on the couch, we’re here to give them a safe, fun, and loving environment. We know how important it is to have peace of mind when you're away, and we’re happy to provide updates, photos, and extra cuddles. Looking forward to meeting you and your pet! We both work from home and we are home all day long and most evenings. We can provide lots of supervision, love and care for furry guests. We have lots of space in our house for playtime and to find quiet corners to relax. We always promote safety first for our pets and furry guests.

“Dawn gave our dog medication, fed her separately and sent cute photos. She was very accommodating on pickup and dropoff times, too. She obviously loves dogs and is so kind to those she cares for.”
“Jon and Natalie were so wonderful with our three very demanding pups! They followed all our directions and the pups had a great time. I could tell they really care about all the animals they watch and treat them like their own. We will definitely book with them again!”

“Sarah took great care of my dog. I got lots of photos of my dog having the time of her life. She kept me informed of how well my dog was doing and loved on my dog. Sarah took great attention to my dog’s special diet and her behavior problems which helped me sleep well.”

“Very pleasant couple and adorable dog Luna. Send pictures and updates on Chester during his stay with them. Fenced yard was great with camera to know when the dogs wanted back in the house.”

“Hands down, Dynette is the best pet sitter I have ever used! She went above and beyond with my dog! She kept me informed and sent me pictures throughout the week and I have never been on a trip and felt so at ease about leaving my dog! I knew that my dog was in great hands and getting lots of love! I was so pleased that I am booking her for another vacation in a few months!”

“Dana accommodated and encouraged my questions before the boarding. She had a solid plan for both introducing her dogs and kids, as well as opening her home up so that my pups felt right at home. I felt very comfortable leaving my pups with her. She communicated well during my dogs stay as well. Thank you!”

“Katie was amazing! She kept us in the loop the whole time and had great communication. Even though our dog chewed the door frame a bit, Katie was very understanding and didn't blame our pup. She has 2 other dogs Wally and Daphne. She has a fenced in backyard. Our dog got along with them both. They are both older dogs and calm. Highly recommend Katie to anyone needing a sitter.”

“Kelly did a great job watching Charlie over the 4th of July. He was very happy throughout his stay. I appreciated the pictures and updates over the holidays. We would definitely book with Kelly again.”

“Serah was quick to respond to my last minute request and took good care of my pup! She sent me a photo update and was really flexible with pick up time. Murphy was exhausted when I got him home so I know he got lots of good play time. Thanks again!”

“After much trepidation and teeth gnashing, we decided we needed a vacation, and that meant leaving our dogs in the care of....someone. We wanted to try something different than a dog boarding/day care facility, so we looked at Rover. When we found Lynn, we immediately felt we had a strong contender for a successful boarding experience for our dogs, and for us. Lynn is incredibly responsive and has a great demeanor with both animals and humans. Our dogs loved their stay, though they were also quite happy to see their normal humans, and to get back home. We will not hesitate to let our dogs stay with Lynn in the future!”

“Kristine is the best! She always goes above and beyond for Luna, taking her on long walks and sending lots of pics. She is flexible, kind and highly communicative!”

“I have used Jenny and Mark twice now in the last month. Bost experiences have been easy and comfortable. I know they are taking good care of my dog and will continue to use them in the future.”

“Claire went above and beyond while taking care of my dog! I had to book with her last minute, and I’m so glad that I did and she was available. She walked my reactive dog, hand fed him because of his anxiety, and took great care of him for the whole day. She updated me every couple hours and sent pictures. I’ll be booking again!”

“Our dog Louie is occasionally leash reactive and aggressive with other dogs. He also was adjusting to life changes at our house and has some anxiety. We needed a sitter who could meet his needs and Bethany was great! She was also available on short notice and a great communicator both prior to and during his stay. We absolutely will use her again and know Louie had a great time!”

“Our dog was happy and tired after a weekend with Robert! He was flexible with our drop off and pick up times and sent cute photos and videos during her stay. Thank you Robert!!”

“Mario is the absolute best! My cat is a picky girl, but Mario's patience, kindness, understanding and love for what he does, shows through with each video, and text message that lets you know that your pet is in good hands! Will I book again? 100% 🩷”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Newport
We absolutely loved having Darcie and her family watch Oliver! We got updates every day with several pictures or even a video, which made being away from him so much easier. It was clear from the moment we dropped him off that Oliver was being treated like part of the family, and he came home happy and well-loved. We are honestly obsessed with Darcie and her family and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We will definitely be using Darcie again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will love their dog like their own!

Keyly responded immediately to my request message for dog care with a short notice. We arranged a meet and greet where we spent time chatting while our dogs got acquainted. I received photos and assurance the dogs were great together and Keyly provided much love and attention to my dog. She loved running around the fenced yard and sat on Keely’s lap while she was on line working! She doesn’t sit on my lap!! My dog didn’t want to leave when I picked her up. I’ll have to book Keyly early so I know I can go away and have 0 concerns about my dogs care. 🐾

Geri was wonderful! We booked boarding for Willard. Geri paid close attention to Willard for the weekend. She was very easy to communicate with and Willard was well taken care of. I will recommend her to anyone and will book her in the future when needed. We felt at ease leaving him in her hands.

Mandy was THE BEST with our dogs! She went over and beyond to provide the most incredible care for them. Our dogs didn’t want to leave they had such a good time and fit right in. Mandy was an excellent communicator and even sent us precious photos of our dogs making memories! She was very clean and just an overall trustworthy and kind person. I would recommend her any day!

Stacy and Michael are wonderful hosts! Their dog, Nina, is such a sweet girl and was great company for my Lyra! They watched her over the 4th of July weekend knowing my Lyra is a bit of a scardy pup. (She gets pretty spooked by fireworks and likes to go hide). They showed a lot of patience and kindness with her, even helped her get unstuck from one of her hiding places. When I arrived Lyra up, they were actively holding and comforting her. These two really care about their guests and I'm not going to hesitate to bring Lyra by again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
