“Bonnie was great with our two black cats! She could even tell them apart! Made sure they ate, had some play time, and some cuddles during her drop ins. Lots of pics and notes about each visit. Highly recommend!”

“Kelly is reliable and responds quickly. This is the second time she has cared for our cat while we were out of town. We will definitely use Kelly again if she is available!”

“Mikayla is an excellent sitter! Our cats love her, and she is so great with them. All they want out of life is someone to snuggle with, and Mikayla sent photos every day of her giving them lots of love and snuggles 🥰 She is very professional and communicative, and I highly recommend booking her for your own pet’s care.”

“Rachel did a fantastic job watching our cats while we were away. She went above and beyond their needs and was very prompt with communication! We will definitely book with her again.”

“Jessica was a great care giver for our cats while away. She stopped in and spent time with each kitty, took many pictures for us, and was a great communicator. We appreciated her reasonable rates and sweet and caring manner. We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for peace of mind for your fur baby while way.”
“Elyse met up with us at it home to get a general lay of the land; to see what we needed and it turns out that she is a super wonderful woman. We had her come by to make sure our super shy cat, Anne Bonny, was fed. Now, I hardly see this cat and she loves me, but on day one, Anne Bonny was rolling over and letting Elyse rub her belly! I'm hoping that Elyse is available every time we need to go out of town!”

About: Between my own family and my wife's, I've had alot of experience with dogs of all shapes and sizes. I've house sat for elderly dogs and raised and trained our own puppy. I've rescued half a dozen lost dogs from our neighborhood. Every dog I meet gets lots of love and yours would be no exception! We already have our miniature poodle pup Winston, so your pup would fit right in with us! I am working from home the vast majority of the time and if I was gone, my wife would be there. As the kid who was always the first to notice when a dog needed to go out and do its business, I'm very attentive to the needs of all dogs. Your pup will be a part of our family during their stay and kept company by my whole family.
About: I’ve always been the go-to pet sitter for family and friends because they know their pets will be loved and well cared for. I have experience with both small and large dogs and understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine. Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to feeding schedules, I provide dependable, loving care so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. In the summer, I have a flexible schedule and can work my days around visiting and care sessions! September through May, I am able to provide care in the morning (before 7:00) and after 3:30. I keep pets comfortable by following their normal routines for feeding, walks, playtime, and care. I provide plenty of love, attention, and exercise while respecting each pet’s unique personality. In your home, I treat your space with care and provide updates so you can feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away.

“I had a great experience with Tasha and knew our dog was in great, caring hands during drop in visits while we were away. I definitely recommend Tasha’s care and will be looking to book with her in the future!”

“Alexis is the best and worked really hard to make Walter feel comfortable, I will definitely be using her again. Let me tell you a story. One morning, Alexis was checking on my dog. She accidentally locked herself out of my house. Bummer, right? I was really mad for a while. Not Alexis' fault, since I thought my roommate wasn't going to be home but he actually was and locked her out without realizing it. Anyway, instead of leaving my dog in the yard and leaving, she stayed with my dog until I came home from camping that afternoon, gave him water, walked him extra, and kept him from freaking out. She really treated my dog like her own.”
About: I love working with pets. My parents have two dogs that I love bringing on walks. They are fun to play with and give attention too. We have also had different dogs when I was growing up it is important to know each pet has a different personality. We have also had cats that are completely different from dogs. I enjoy playing with them with toys and petting them. I also have experience with Guinea pigs. I have had one for over two years and I know how to take care of them. Let me know if I am the right fit to watch your dog, cat, or other animal. Thank you for reading my profile to consider me for watching your awesome and great pets. I love working with animals and I include them in my daily routine. They need do get there exercise, play time, attention and feed/ treats. I would rather take care of them in you home because the pets feel more comfortable when they know where they are. I love to keep them happy
About: I have cared for pets in a variety of contexts including while babysitting, stop-by check-ins, and live-in per care for a few days at a time. Additionally, I am known to spend more time hanging out with the pets at friends’ houses than with the people there. I am a student with sporadic breaks throughout the day perfect for checking-in or dog walks. Though my schedule varies a lot day-to-day and throughout different months I often can make most requests work. I follow given or written instructions to a T. Additionally I prefer to follow the pets lead, within reason, not forcing myself into their space or making them “like” me, rather waiting for them to approach me.

About: I recently retired early, sold my small business, and am excited to spend more time doing something that has always been a big part of my life - caring for and loving animals. I have been a pet mom and caregiver for many years, looking after furry friends of every age, personality, and quirk. I have 2 kitties, one who is an outgoing crazy character and the other sweet and shy. We sadly lost our Goldendoodle recently and I'd love to share cuddles and walks with your dog(s). I am reliable, patient and calm - and treat every pet with the same affection and care I give my own. I recently retired so my schedule is very flexible for daily drop-ins, overnight stays, walks, playtime, and cuddles. Have a last-minute trip or unexpected work meeting? I have the time and treats! When caring for your pets, I put their safety and comfort first. With many years of experience caring for pets, I know that each is unique, with different personalities and comfort level with new people. I treat every animal as if they were my own. My goal is for everything to feel just as safe, calm, and familiar as when you are there. I follow your routines closely, keep your home tidy, and pay attention to all of the little things that help your pet feel secure. What sets me apart is that during my career, I traveled quite a bit and hired pet sitters to stay with my kitties and dog. I know, from a client's perspective, what was important to me and my fur babies. I will send you daily updates and photos (unless that's not your preference), so you and your pets can feel completely comfortable and stress-free.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Cottage Grove
Rachel is the best! She goes above and beyond as a sitter. One of our cats is very anxious and Rachel was so patient with her and even checked in on her an extra time after she refused to take her meds. She even rearranged the drop in schedule when we realized the cats needed a different time of day for their food and meds. It’s such a relief going out of town and knowing our girls are being cared for so well! Thanks Rachel!

We had her come by to make sure our super shy cat, Anne Bonny, was fed. Now, I hardly see this cat and she loves me, but on day one, Anne Bonny was rolling over and letting Elyse rub her belly! A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
