“Absolutely hands-down the best service I could’ve ever expected from this whole experience. We took an extended trip over seas and she thought of everything for drop ins on our two fur babies. Her care and consideration of many details speaks volumes for her love for animals but also her high levels of customer service.”

“Evelyn was absolutely wonderful! One of our cats never comes out for strangers and we were getting photos of her full belly up loving life with her. She really was above and beyond with communication and following through, heck she even washed the silverware we had in the sink! We were very nervous to use Rover again after we had a rough experience where we didn’t have phone service and later found out the person with over a hundred 5 star reviews was skipping feeding visits because they’re “just cats.” She totally renewed our faith in using this service and goes to show 100s of reviews is not more valuable than someone you can tell really loves animals and wants to do a great job. If you’re between options, pick Evelyn, you won’t regret it!”

“Jessica took great care of my pup, making sure she got enough play while I was away with friends so that she was ready to relax by the time I got home. Thanks, Jess!”

“Erin responded to me for my last minute needs. I have two dogs one with special needs. She handled them so well. Thank you so much for your kindness and professionalism. Will use again”

About: Between my own family and my wife's, I've had alot of experience with dogs of all shapes and sizes. I've house sat for elderly dogs and raised and trained our own puppy. I've rescued half a dozen lost dogs from our neighborhood. Every dog I meet gets lots of love and yours would be no exception! We already have our miniature poodle pup Winston, so your pup would fit right in with us! I am working from home the vast majority of the time and if I was gone, my wife would be there. As the kid who was always the first to notice when a dog needed to go out and do its business, I'm very attentive to the needs of all dogs. Your pup will be a part of our family during their stay and kept company by my whole family.

“Stephanie was such a huge help to us with our sick kitty. She dropped in to administer her meds while we were out of town and made sure she was doing okay! Will definitely be using Stephanie in the future for our cat care!”

About: Hi my name is Sarah! I am currently a veterinary medicine student at the University of Minnesota! I have two cats and have grown up with dogs. I love spending time with animals, and would love to meet your furry friend!:) I am a full-time veterinary student at UMN so I am only available to watch your pets on the weekends. I don’t make any plans when I am booked, so I can give my full attention to your kiddo(s)! I live in a two-story townhouse, with plenty of space for my kitties to roam and lots of sunshine to bathe in. They are living their best life.
About: I’ve grown up with cats and dogs all my life. I understand that each pet has their own personality and needs. Nothing would make me happier than a chance to get to know your precious pets and care for them like they’re my own! I currently work full time but with flexible hours. Typically, mornings and evening visits are best during the week but my weekends are wide open. I live in a dog friendly neighborhood a short walk from a large park with many trails and nature to explore. My place is full of sunshine that pets can bask in.
“Will be booking again! 5/5! I can't say enough good things about Lauren as a dog sitter! She is incredibly reliable, attentive, and clearly has a deep love for animals. My dog warmed up to her immediately, and I felt completely at ease knowing that he was in such capable hands. Lauren went above and beyond, providing regular updates and photos, which really put my mind at ease while I was away. It's such a relief to know that I can trust her to care for my fur baby as if he were her own. I highly recommend Lauren to anyone looking for a top-notch dog sitter!”

About: My family has had a dog that I’ve loved to take care of and spend time with since I was 8. Also I would take care of my family’s dog since friends’ dog whenever they were out of town as a kid. I’m currently back for the summer from college so I have lots of time to take care of pets both overnight and during the day. I won’t be able to take pets into my home but can go to the owners house night or day. If for any reason you don’t have a leash or dog treats or something along those lines I’ll be able to bring it.
“Monika does a wonderful job looking after our senior kitty who needs extra care due to diabetes. She really makes a connection and we can tell that our cat absolutely adores her. We know he's in good hands with her each time we need to be away!”

About: I’d love to walk your dog! I grew up with dogs and would love to get one for my family once my young children are a bit older… until then, I would absolutely love to spend time helping take care of your dog! I’m currently working part time remotely so have a flexible schedule to walk your dog anytime during the day when my kids are in summer programs/school! I’m a mom of two young kids and work at an education non-profit. I’m responsible and friendly and would love to spend time with your dog!
“I can’t say enough good about the care Julia gave to our cats. Specifically, one is diabetic and we had not left him in 5 years (since his diagnosis) due to the care he needs with getting insulin twice/day. We were nervous to leave them but quickly felt very good about things from the moment Julia came to meet the cats and during the visits and updates she sent. We felt like our lives changed and will definitely request her again to take care of our fur babies.”

About: I've had 2 dogs but am unable to have an animal of my own right now. I am a go-to sitter of friends and family for caring for their dogs and/or cats when they go out of town. I love taking care of animals! I'm currently working a hybrid schedule of Monday and Friday's at home. I am available to watch dogs/cats the whole week, but need to be in the office Tuesday - Thursday. So, if your dog can go a little over 8 hours between potty breaks this is no issue. I do work fairly close to home, so could come home on lunch break for a quick bathroom break. I live in a townhouse with a small, mulched front yard. I have a long leash that I can let dogs out on for quick bathroom breaks (I will be outside with them to supervise) . The neighborhood has sidewalks throughout and low traffic to take dogs on longer walks. Neighborhood is very dog friendly. Applewood Nature Reserve is also a walkable distance from my house (dogs should have tick prevention if you want them walked in the park). Longer walks would be up to 2 miles depending on your pets ability.
The median cost per visit for pet sitting in Woodbury is $20

Stephanie was great! She was able to give my cats oral medication and an inhaler. She was very communicative and I appreciated the regular updates. She answered all my questions quickly and made me feel at ease knowing she was taking good care of my kitties.

Heather is an absolute gem to work with. 💜Her energy is so warm and inviting, I knew right away she was the sitter for my cat. She bring a calming, soothing presence that I know her animal, and human, friends appreciate! Thank you so, so much, Heather! ~Carrissa, Tom, Sage

We’ve used Jessica several times, and she’s been fantastic every time. She’s consistently available on short notice, always punctual, and very polite. Even though we’re not home during her visits, our hairless cat, who is extremely selective about people, comes out to see her and happily lets Jessica pet her. That alone says a lot. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

Paula was exceptional with our cats! She followed our instructions and was very responsive. She has extended experience caring for special needs kitties and has done an absolute incredible job with our ckd Salem who rewuired a lot of care. All the cats felt comfortable around her and always came out to greet and eat (even the shy ones). We are very grateful for Paula!

Julia has watched our almost 18 year old cat several times now. Navigated the different medicines she needed and this last time noticed that she had a medical issue and reached out to my emergency contact right away. I would highly recommend Julia as a cat sitter!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
