“Heather was a great choice to look after my two kitties. She took her time making sure I was comfortable with her, answering any questions and ensuring my girls would be in good hands. When she visited, she'd send the cutest messages and pictures that totally put me at ease. Would recommend in a heartbeat 10/10!”

“I was very pleased with Stephanie's care of Jazzy. I appreciated the photos and notes she sent me. She also respected and took care of my home. I will call upon her again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone wanting care for their pet.”

“Let my boy Odie out and fed him when I had some early and long mornings at work! Great communication and able to accommodate an early drop in time. Will definitely book with her again!”

“First time Rover user and Jessica was absolutely fantastic with my two girls. I appreciate how accommodating and understanding she was. I hope to use her again!!”

About: I’d love to walk your dog! I grew up with dogs and would love to get one for my family once my young children are a bit older… until then, I would absolutely love to spend time helping take care of your dog! I’m currently working part time remotely so have a flexible schedule to walk your dog anytime during the day when my kids are in summer programs/school! I’m a mom of two young kids and work at an education non-profit. I’m responsible and friendly and would love to spend time with your dog!
“Evelyn did a fantastic job watching my very old dog! He is a deaf, wears a diaper, takes some medications and Evelyn handled all of these challenges very well. I would definitely recommend Evelyn as a Rover sitter to anyone. Thank you!”

“Julia did a great job looking after our two cats while we were away! One of our cats is diabetic and requires insulin injections twice a day so it always makes me nervous to leave him but after meeting Julia, I felt very at ease leaving our kitties with her and due to her prompt updates after each visit didn’t worry for a second while on vacation :)”
About: My family has had a dog that I’ve loved to take care of and spend time with since I was 8. Also I would take care of my family’s dog since friends’ dog whenever they were out of town as a kid. I’m currently back for the summer from college so I have lots of time to take care of pets both overnight and during the day. I won’t be able to take pets into my home but can go to the owners house night or day. If for any reason you don’t have a leash or dog treats or something along those lines I’ll be able to bring it.
“Monika was wonderful to work with, and our kitty, Macho, seemed to really love her! We're so grateful she was there to give him attention and ensure he had everything he needed while we were away.”

About: Between my own family and my wife's, I've had alot of experience with dogs of all shapes and sizes. I've house sat for elderly dogs and raised and trained our own puppy. I've rescued half a dozen lost dogs from our neighborhood. Every dog I meet gets lots of love and yours would be no exception! We already have our miniature poodle pup Winston, so your pup would fit right in with us! I am working from home the vast majority of the time and if I was gone, my wife would be there. As the kid who was always the first to notice when a dog needed to go out and do its business, I'm very attentive to the needs of all dogs. Your pup will be a part of our family during their stay and kept company by my whole family.

About: I grew up with animals all throughout my life. I’ve had dogs, cats, birds, and help my mom foster for Cocos Heart and other animal rescues. I’ve worked with many different dog breeds through my past job at PetSuites and through pet sitting. BACK FOR THE SUMMER!! I’m currently working part time at two jobs during the week but will be able to make check-ins in between shifts. The weekends I’m available anytime for check-ins or walks! I try to provide more than just the basic needs to my pets and any pet I care for. This includes feeding and medications, walking, playing, and hanging out with the pets to keep them company. I’m relatively active so I can take the pets for longer walks and runs if requested. I always put the pet first and make sure they feel safe and comfortable with my presence.
“This was our first time with Lauren. I appreciated her thorough report and the time she spent with my dog. My dog can be shy with strangers but seemed to take to her right away. Very pleased with her care.”

About: I have been a dog owner for over 50 years and understand first hand the importance and peace -of -mind that comes from having a trusted provider care for my pet when I am working or on vacation. I am an active senior and love having a dog to walk and for just plain old companionship. I have a Havanese/Shih Tzu (23 pounds) who is very sweet and good with other dogs. He likes to play and is even willing to share his bed with visiting dogs. Since I am retired I have a flexible schedule and live near a large city lake with a walking path. And if your dog has special needs I am certainly able and willing to accommodate. Please feel free to contact me with specific questions or concerns.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Woodbury
We’ve used Jessica several times, and she’s been fantastic every time. She’s consistently available on short notice, always punctual, and very polite. Even though we’re not home during her visits, our hairless cat, who is extremely selective about people, comes out to see her and happily lets Jessica pet her. That alone says a lot. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

Paula was exceptional with our cats! She followed our instructions and was very responsive. She has extended experience caring for special needs kitties and has done an absolute incredible job with our ckd Salem who rewuired a lot of care. All the cats felt comfortable around her and always came out to greet and eat (even the shy ones). We are very grateful for Paula!

Julia has watched our almost 18 year old cat several times now. Navigated the different medicines she needed and this last time noticed that she had a medical issue and reached out to my emergency contact right away. I would highly recommend Julia as a cat sitter!

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Woodbury. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
