Cat & dog lover- flexible schedule!
My schedule: I work in-office Monday & Thursday, so can only do evenings those days. Otherwise, can do up to 3 visits the other days of the week! Lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages. I grew up with a Golden Retriever and a cat, and I currently have a 5-year-old cat that I adopted when he was 10 weeks. I frequently watch my brother’s golden retriever when he travels. I’ve also worked as a nanny for families with cats and dogs, so caring for animals has been part of my routine for a while. For the past two years while I was living in Florida, I regularly cared for two dogs with separation anxiety who couldn’t be left alone for more than an hour. I spent about 20 hours a week with them providing companionship & playtime. When their owners were away for extended day trips, I administered their daily medication. I’m comfortable giving medication when needed and always follow care instructions extremely carefully to make sure every pet gets exactly what they need. I’m detail-oriented, patient, attentive, and adapt to each pet’s personality and needs. I love animals and find it rewarding to help out with pet sitting! 🩵

Since I have my own cat and he’s timid, I prefer to cat sit + dog sit at your house. I can do overnights, check-ins, walks, feedings. I’m a huge animal lover and extremely trustworthy and reliable, can provide pet sitting references if needed!

Makayla is amazing! She went above and beyond taking care of our cat. Sioux needed extra care with meds and lots of love while we were gone. Makayla sent pictures and stayed longer to give Sioux additional care. Will definely recommend Makayla and have her back to take care of Sioux whenever we are on vacation.

This was our first time using the Rover app, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Makayla was absolutely wonderful—super sweet and thorough when she came to meet our cat and go over all of the instructions. While we were away, she checked in every day with thoughtful notes and the cutest photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. She even brought in some packages that were delivered, which was such a nice extra touch. It’s clear she genuinely cares, and we’ll definitely be booking her again. We’re already planning to have her help with dog walking, too. Highly recommend!
Makayla will love your pets like they are her own. She has watched my cats and dog and is a very dependable and trustworthy. I was able to have peace of mind my animals were in good hands with regular updates and pictures while away from home.
