“Jacqueline was great! She was always precisely on time, handled our very high energy pup with no problems, and brought him back happy & tired out from the walk 🐕 Highly recommend her, and we will be booking her help again in the future.”

“Erin was a life saver this week! With my husband out of town for a week and me with my hands full with a three year old and baby, getting out to walk our energetic and LOUD husky was going to be a challenge. Erin was always right on time and such a great communicator. I liked and trusted her immediately and Aurora Dog warmed up to her right away as well. She started waiting at the door for her in the morning. Thank you so much Erin!”

About: With over 10 years of experience caring for pets, I treat every animal as if they were my own. I understand that each dog has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level, and I take the time to make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and happy while you’re away. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all ages, including energetic puppies who need structure and patience, as well as senior dogs who require a slower pace and extra attention. I pay close attention to details like feeding routines, medication schedules, exercise needs, and behavioral cues so your pet stays on their normal routine. What truly sets me apart is the level of care and communication I provide. I keep owners updated with messages and photos so you always know your pet is safe and well cared for. My goal is for both you and your dog to feel completely comfortable and stress-free. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because I have a wide-open and flexible schedule. This allows me to give pets plenty of attention, consistent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day rather than leaving them alone for long periods. Because my schedule is flexible, I’m also able to adapt to each pet’s specific routine—whether that means early morning walks, midday check-ins, evening feedings, or extra time for exercise and play. My goal is to keep your pet’s day as normal, comfortable, and stress-free as possible while you’re away. When caring for pets, my goal is to make them feel as comfortable and safe as possible by keeping their routine consistent. In a client’s home, I follow the pet’s normal schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest so they feel secure in their familiar environment. I pay close attention to their behavior and needs to make sure they are happy, relaxed, and getting the exercise and attention they need. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a calm, clean, and safe environment with plenty of supervision, affection, and activity. I make sure pets have regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and a comfortable place to rest. I also keep owners updated with messages and photos so they can feel confident their pet is well cared for while they’re away.
“Monika did great walking our dog every day for a week while we were on a vacation. We had complete trust that our dog was in good hands. She also went the extra mile by giving our other dog some attention while she was at our house.”

About: I’m an extremely compassionate and well informed pet sitter with many years of petsitting experience for friends, family, and neighbors and I’ve owned pets my entire life. I do wildlife rehab for work and care for a variety of pets at home, so I have experience in taking care of most types of pets (birds, reptiles, mammals, etc) and not just dogs and cats. Animal care is my passion and I dedicate my life to it with all my pets at home, my wildlife rehab job, and petsitting. I am loving and empathetic to all living creatures and pets tend to gravitate towards me, so you can relax knowing that your pets are in the best hands I’m currently working part time in the PM, but other than that I don’t have any other obligations. I’m typically gone for 6-8 hours at a time on days I work, so I can stop in throughout the day. On days I’m not working, I can stop in as often as needed and do extended stays. I don’t have a set schedule so I don’t always work the same days, but I tend to have weekends off (and then I always have mornings and midday free as well). Just message me if you have any questions about specific dates, otherwise I have no availability conflicts if your pet is okay 6-8 hours at a time I have experiencing drawing up and administering meds orally and via injection in a professional manner. I can accommodate for any of your pets needs, whether they are elderly, special needs, or have intensive instructions. I love treating them as if they are my own and doing all the silly unnecessary (but also very necessary) fun stuff to spoil them! Anything I can do to make them feel more comfortable!
“Very grateful to have found Lauren for dog walking. She is great with both our dogs including our rescue. She is professional and instantly made us feel comfortable with our first dog walking experience!”

About: Ever since I can remember I've always had a dog in my house, all different kinds. My own, and some of my parents fostered or took in temporarily from friends. I'm ready to walk, run, play, or nap with your pupper or kitty! Some of my favorite things are walks, fetch with a ball, and blowing bubbles. I have a dog named Wheezer and a cat named Titan. I'm so excited to meet you and your furry family members, thank you so much for your consideration! I am currently self employed in theatre (in the process of creating my own company) and have lots of spare time, especially during the day, to help take care of your pets! I have a high functioning car, and am ready to travel to you and your pet and/or being them to their favorite park! I live in an apartment, so my current favorite way to help out is to come to you and your furry friend!
About: My family has been fostering dogs since I was 11, and I have pet sit for several neighbors and friends. I volunteer at Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue—I take the dogs outside to go potty and for walks, play with them, feed them, clean their kennels, etc. I’m home from college for the summer and my schedule is very flexible. I will be busy in the evening Monday-Thursday but I am relatively free during the day. I will follow any instructions or rules that you give me. I will interact with your dog only in the ways that are comfortable to them, but I am totally willing to play and get dirty. I don’t mind mess and it’s okay if your pet isn’t house-trained.
“Christina has been wonderful with my pups! My dogs are high energy and she does great with them. She always sends me lots of photos and videos throughout the visit. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing a sitter/ walker!”

“Emma is always excited to see Carolyn for her walk. She fell for Carolyn right off the bat. Emma does not always do that. She is a good judge of character.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes since I was a kid. I had 2 dogs growing up so I am used to big energetic dogs as well as small. I have a lot of experience with anxious and high energy dogs and am comfortable and enjoy taking care of them. I moved away from home for college so I miss my dog a lot so I am looking for some new furry friends to play with during the school year! I am a college student so my availability varies daily, I am available most weekdays (time depending) and weekends. I am available for multiple times a day if necessary. I have a dog at home who tends to run away often so I am well trained in keeping doors closed keeping an eye on them etc. I am good at following any specific instructions for any special requests a dog would need.
About: Between my own family and my wife's, I've had alot of experience with dogs of all shapes and sizes. I've house sat for elderly dogs and raised and trained our own puppy. I've rescued half a dozen lost dogs from our neighborhood. Every dog I meet gets lots of love and yours would be no exception! We already have our miniature poodle pup Winston, so your pup would fit right in with us! I am working from home the vast majority of the time and if I was gone, my wife would be there. As the kid who was always the first to notice when a dog needed to go out and do its business, I'm very attentive to the needs of all dogs. Your pup will be a part of our family during their stay and kept company by my whole family.
“Kari was great and very professional. Even though my pup was just a little too rambunctious on their walk Kari did the professional thing, and let me know for his safety it wasn’t a great fit, and I very much appreciated her honesty and professionalism! Once I get my pup some extra training we do hope to use Kari in the future!”

About: Hi! I’m Eden and I am 19 years old. I can’t remember a time where I didn’t have a furry (or non furry) companion with me! I grew up with dogs and pet birds. I have fostered dogs and puppies with a local rescue, The Bond Between (formerly known as SecondHand Hounds) since 2020 and have leash, crate, and potty trained them. I have babysat numerous different dogs and cats during the past four years and would love to care for more and gain more experience! I have even cared for reptiles such as bearded dragons and snakes. I currently have two dogs and a pet gecko! 🩷 I’m currently in my sophomore year of college and trying to save up more money! So I have plenty of time for your furry friends! I have two lovely dogs to help keep your dogs company! I always make sure that I am giving your furry friends my undivided attention.

Lyndsy is great! She took time to come over a few days before we needed her so she and Buxxie could meet. She’s clearly really comfortable with dogs and my pup, who is on the anxious side 🥴, settled in with her very quickly. Highly recommend! Thank you so much Lyndsy!!

- 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
