About: I have been a dog owner for over 50 years and understand first hand the importance and peace -of -mind that comes from having a trusted provider care for my pet when I am working or on vacation. I am an active senior and love having a dog to walk and for just plain old companionship. I have a Havanese/Shih Tzu (23 pounds) who is very sweet and good with other dogs. He likes to play and is even willing to share his bed with visiting dogs. Since I am retired I have a flexible schedule and live near a large city lake with a walking path. About: I've had 2 dogs but am unable to have an animal of my own right now. I am a go-to sitter of friends and family for caring for their dogs and/or cats when they go out of town. I love taking care of animals! I'm currently working a hybrid schedule of Monday and Friday's at home. I am available to watch dogs/cats the whole week, but need to be in the office Tuesday - Thursday. So, if your dog can go a little over 8 hours between potty breaks this is no issue. I do work fairly close to home, so could come home on lunch break for a quick bathroom break. I live in a townhouse with a small, mulched front yard. I have a long leash that I can let dogs out on for quick bathroom breaks (I will be outside with them to supervise) . The neighborhood has sidewalks throughout and low traffic to take dogs on longer walks. Neighborhood is very dog friendly. Applewood Nature Reserve is also a walkable distance from my house (dogs should have tick prevention if you want them walked in the park). Longer walks would be up to 2 miles depending on your pets ability.

About: I’ve taken care of my parents dogs, they have always had two or three at a time, neighbors, friends, and also my chiropractors dogs for many years. I’ve cared for little dogs like chihuahuas as well as big dogs like Great Danes and mastiffs. I also have experience caring for senior pups that my parents and chiropractor had in the past.
