About: I support students by day, spoil pets by night! I am a school counselor at a middle school looking for a side gig. I supported my own dog through 2 years of training to get his AKC. I have experience working with families through my job as a counselor, experience taking care of elderly in an assisted living home, and experience watching pets through college. I provide safe, steady, and stress free pet sitting. I am trustworthy individual, with your pets wellbeing and your peace of mind as my priority. I work during the day, but I have afternoons, evenings, and weekends free. I am very active with my own dog and would love additional buddy’s to join if it works. I will tailor my care to your expectations and needs for your dog in the same way I tailor the needs of my students each day as a school counselor. You can trust I will listen and follow your lead with care.
“Alexis is the best and worked really hard to make Walter feel comfortable, I will definitely be using her again. Let me tell you a story. One morning, Alexis was checking on my dog. She accidentally locked herself out of my house. Bummer, right? I was really mad for a while. Not Alexis' fault, since I thought my roommate wasn't going to be home but he actually was and locked her out without realizing it. Anyway, instead of leaving my dog in the yard and leaving, she stayed with my dog until I came home from camping that afternoon, gave him water, walked him extra, and kept him from freaking out. She really treated my dog like her own.”

“I was very pleased with Stephanie's care of Jazzy. I appreciated the photos and notes she sent me. She also respected and took care of my home. I will call upon her again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone wanting care for their pet.”

I focus on keeping pets safe, calm, and well cared for while their owners are away. I’m available to care for cats & dogs on weekdays from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM while my daughter is at school. During this time, I can provide feeding, walks, playtime, cuddles, and attention to make sure your pet feels happy and comfortable. I focus on following each pet’s normal routine and making sure they feel safe, calm, and well cared for throughout the visit. I care for pets by following their usual routines, including feeding, fresh water, walks, and litter box maintenance when needed. “Jill is so caring with our cat! She always takes great pictures and leaves detailed notes after each visit. I feel confident Taco is taken care of.”

“Andrea was phenomenal! It is evident that caring for pets is her area of expertise. I was apprehensive about hiring someone to watch our cat but Andrea put us at ease and allowed us to enjoy our vacation without worrying. We received daily updates of texts and pictures which we looked forward to seeing at the end of the day. I look forward to having Andrea take care of our cat in the future and would highly recommend her to others.”

About: I grew up on a dairy farm, and have been around many different animals over the years. I started out pet sitting for friends of family members, and families in my local community in my spare time. I have also taken care of a few senior pets over the years by making sure they get their right medications and foods throughout my stay. I also help take care of farm animals, outdoor bird feeders, along with indoor and outdoor plant watering and care. I currently have two cats, Scooter and Goose and they are my world. I am currently working about 20-25 hours a week. My current job is very flexible with hours and time that would allow me to stop in a care for your pets. I am available to do a few days, with the possibility of extending that period of time. I would be able to stop in and care for your pets before I head to work for the day (roughly 4 to 8 hours regularly, but can be flexible) and again after I am done with work for the day before engaging in any activities or turning in for the evening. I am open to stopping in daily and caring for you pets in your home as I dont have much space while I am currently living in the city with roommates and multiple pets in our household. If your pet has a favorite park, or yard to play in, I would be happy to engage in their favorite activities hwith them in those places.

I would bring them on walks and have plenty of play time with the dogs right after work. I can easily do bathroom breaks during my work time and sneak in a quick walk. I have baby gates in my home so the dogs have space in the living room with a sliding door going outside.

“Jennifer was great for my pup! I wasn’t quite sure how my pup would do with drop ins for the first time but Jennifer sent timely updates and pictures. Thank you for loving on my pup while I was at work!”
About: I’ve been a dedicated dog owner for over 30 years and have cared for several loving dogs throughout my life — often having two dogs at a time, and for several years even caring for three together. Through that experience, I’ve become very comfortable managing different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I truly love being around animals, and my kids jokingly call me the “animal whisperer” because animals naturally seem calm, comfortable, and attentive around me. I have a patient, nurturing approach and understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, relaxed, and loved while their owners are away. I also grew up always having cats and absolutely love them as well. Although my husband is allergic, I still enjoy spending time with cats through friends and family whenever I can. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or older and needing extra patience and gentle care, I treat every animal like they are part of my own family. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I am currently attending graduate school in the evenings and am not working full-time, which gives me a very flexible daytime schedule. During the summer, I only have classes on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, so I am available most days after 10 a.m. I enjoy starting my mornings by walking and caring for my own dogs before heading out to care for other pets. Being in graduate school allows me flexibility throughout the week, while still maintaining a reliable routine for the pets I care for. I truly enjoy spending my time with animals and love being able to provide them with attention, companionship, walks, and care throughout the day. When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I focus on making sure they feel safe, comfortable, loved, and cared for just like they would with their own family. I pay close attention to each pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, playtime, and any special instructions provided by the owner. I understand how important consistency and patience are, especially when pets are adjusting to being away from their owners. As a longtime pet owner myself, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pets in someone else’s care. Whenever I am out of town or in class, I leave detailed instructions for my own dogs because I expect them to be cared for and loved the same way I care for them. I bring that same level of attention, compassion, and responsibility to every pet I watch. Whether your pet needs exercise and playtime, extra reassurance, or simply a calm companion throughout the day, I work hard to make sure they feel happy, relaxed, and well cared for.

About: I have taken care of both my two dogs since I was 8 years old. I have trained both of my dogs, fed, and walked them daily. I have also house sat for two other dogs. One was less than 8 months old and the other was 2 years old. I house sat those two yorkies for a week. I am not working this summer so I will be able to take care of your pets 24/7. I am an animal lover and will take great care of your babies as if they were my own. I am flexible with strictness of schedules and particular pets as I know some animals have their quirks. I have one friendly beagle who is 9 years old. She is very laid back and typically spends most of her day voluntarily in her crate. She goes on daily walks but these can also be separated from your pet walks if needed.
“Sy was such a pleasure and did a wonderful job dropping in to visit my two cats for a week. She was thoughtful, easy to communicate with, and flexible. I can tell she and Lucas have a real love for animals and they love them too. Even my shy cat, Franny, warmed up to them quickly. I received thorough updates and lots of pictures that made me feel very comfortable leaving them knowing they were in good hands.”

Inver Grove Heights dog parents share their Rover experiences
This was our first time using Rover so we had no idea what to expect when we booked a drop-in visit/walk. Heidi was fantastic and took great care of Baxter and Lobo on such short notice. They absolutely loved her. The only thing that would have helped even more was a note whether or not they pooped on their walk or play time. Everything else was perfect and we’d be more than happy to have Heidi watch them again.
