Work at home/clean fenced-in yard!Woodbury, MN

Getting involved in dog boarding has definitely been one of the best decisions I have ever made. Since I already work from home as a freelance graphic designer, I thought, why not add another passion to the mix – dogs!

Though I was raised with many different types of pets, I have always had a connection with dogs. I was finally able to get my own dog (yellow lab) in my later twenties when I bought my first house. One year after that, I acquired another dog (shih-tzu/poodle mix) to have as a buddy for my yellow lab - they were together for 12+ years.

My family and I are all dog lovers! I provide a fun, but calm atmosphere, so your dog(s) will be happy.

Your dog will love staying here!North End, St. Paul, MN

My heartfelt affection for dogs stems from early childhood. Dogs were integral to my family, and I naturally extend compassion and understanding toward them. My desire is to offer a safe, enriching place for them to go while their family is away--and I feel lucky to be able to do so!

Each dog has a unique personality, and my mission is to help them thrive through personal attention and quality care. I love bringing out the best in a dog’s temperament by tapping into their natural sense of wonder and exuberance. I pay close attention to each dog’s individual needs, per your instructions and their body language, in order to balance food, exercise, play, and rest proportionally.

When Rover guests come for a visit, they are greeted by my wife, Judy, and our three dogs: Nugget, Gigi and Chauncey. Judy loves playing with our four-legged guests, and my own dogs show their new friends where everything is. They’ll quickly get comfortable with us--and invariably have a great time.

Our home is a canine wonderland. There are tons of toys, an assortment of pillows and beds for quick naps between bouts of playing, a large fenced-in yard, and a great neighborhood to explore. Across the street is the Oakland Cemetery, which is where we take our walks on nice days. It's a dog-friendly neighborhood with lots of children, who always love to say hello.

I always have dogs around, but in my spare time I enjoy working in my yard, writing, researching, and making art. I’m deeply passionate about nature, so getting outside with the dogs is always a high priority. We’ll play, hike, tussle, run around the yard or park, and get plenty of walks.

Over the last 40 years I have had dogs of all kinds, and experience with everything from administering medications and bandaging injuries to birthing puppies! I have even raised a rescue, Nugget, since she was just a week old. Through all of these experiences, I’ve become exceptionally attuned to animal’s needs, and strive to provide the same tender, compassionate care that any loving parent--human or canine--would supply.

I live for the outdoors and for the cuddles, face-licking, and joy that only dogs can provide.

But my love for nature extends to all animals, so please let me know if you have cats or any other creatures who need looking after!

Why should you have all the FUN?!Battle Creek, SAINT PAUL, MN

Hello, my name is Will G. I'm a pack leader of a 10-year-old black lab named Enzo. He loves to have guests and is a great energy and mentor for those younger dogs. My main goal is to meet the energy level of your dog come light rain or shine. I live near Battle Creek Dog Park which is one of the best dog parks in Minnesota. The dog park, pack walks, and rollerblading are a few ways of how I will meet the energy level of your dog. If you prefer not to have your dog in the dog park setting then we will focus more on walks and or running.

A little about me. I am 33 years old, I work for the Department of Homeland Security part-time, I'm a student in the ways of Ceaser Milan (the dog whisper) I have had a dog/s my whole life, I have been fostering dogs for the last 4 years (which I love to do), and would very much enjoy having your dog (family member) join my pack for as long as you need. I am willing to watch your dog in my home or yours. I charge $30 a night in my home or $40 in your home) I'm also willing to pick up the day you leave and drop off on the day you return for $15 if within 30 miles. The fee goes up outside of 30 miles.

Thank you for choosing me!

Your dog is going to love you for it!

Aggressive dogs welcome; however, will not be allowed with other client's dogs.

Meet my pets

I have a medium size home. With animal-friendly furniture. The rules of the house are the rules of your house. If your dog/s are not allowed in the kitchen I'll keep your dog out of mine. If your dog is not allowed on the couch I'll keep him/her off of mine, and so on. You make the rules.

About my yard

I have a fenced in backyard with some space for playing, but most of the playing would be done at the dog park or on the walks.

As former breeders, we belong to both the NRTA (National Rat Terrier Association) and the UKC (United Kennel Club). In the last few years we have been active in rescue and fostering and have had the opportunity to host dogs of many different breeds. We love them all!

Our two Rat Terriers (Lola & Vinny) have always been quite welcoming to the dogs we have boarded and fostered. They generally get along with everybody.

I am from France and I moved to the US 6 years ago. I own 1 dog (unfortunately my yorkie passed away this April 2019 but I could not remove his pics from my profile) and two cats and they are definitely a part of our family and I could not imagine life without them. My Australian shepherd is a very submissive dog so I never had any problems of rivalry or conflicts with the other dogs I have hosted. In my childhood I have been always surrounded by animals (turtles, birds, dogs, cats, fishes, rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters). With my compassionate and caring nature, and familiarity with the needs of animals, I will provide the same amount of love, attention and care for your pets as I do it for my own. I have got experience with all types of breeds, size and background. I do not work so your dog will never be left alone and I will always make sure that he will be comfortable during his stay. I share a special bond with my furry friends ! You love him, I will too !

Precious Care Petting Sitting, LLC.Thomas Dale, St Paul, MN

I grew up in a canine household. Living with a dog comes naturally to me. I use my experience and skills in teaching, supervision, and human resource for their care. There isn't a lot of difference. :)

I have an adult Basset Hound, Gracie, who was the runt of her litter and has tummy issues. We do a wheat & corn free diet because. She is a tenacious hunter. She loves being a hound dog!

Are newest addition is Gertie. She is a fast learner and full of puppy energy and curiosity.

From research and experience, I know that dogs have a gift to reason and that helps them be creative. I leave my fenced backyard available for them so that they can be the dog they are meant to be. They can also nap and socialize in the family room. It is set up for canine quality time. I call it Doggyland. Dogs are pack animals, and I let them gently and lovingly know that I am the top dog.

I am an artist and work from Home.

Hello current and future Rover customers! I want to start by saying I have enjoyed the past two years, working with Rover, and building strong bonds with my repeat customers and their fur babies. Our dog, Luther has been a gracious and patient host and I credit nearly all of my business through Rover to him. We hope to continue our professional and reliable service to our customers for many more years to come.

However, I feel it is now time to create a solid business plan and schedule to better provide for my customers and their pets, as well as giving me the peace of mind that I am not overworking myself or Luther.

Boarding -

I will continue to offer boarding, which will have a set drop off time of 3 pm and set pickup of 12 pm/noon, the following day. Unless the stay is multiple days, then the pickup will be 12pm/noon on the final day of the stay. Boarding will no longer exceed 24 hours. I will provide a grace period of a few hours, but once we've reached 24 hours, you will need to pay for daycare. (If the drop off time of 3 pm and pick up time of 12pm/noon need to be modified, we can discuss that ahead of booking the stay.)

Daycare -

I will be limiting daycare stays to 8 hours per day. Anything beyond 8 hours will cost an additional $2.00 for each hour after exceeding the 8 hour daycare stay and that includes late pickups. (For example: If you need your dog at daycare from 6 am to 6 pm, there will be an additional charge of $8.00 for the extended 4 hours.)

These changes will also affect housesitting requests as well. I will start at 3 pm the first day and end at 12pm/noon the last day, not exceeding 24 hours. If my services are needed beyond 24 hours on the final day, there will be a drop in charge added to the booking.

I do want to apologize if the changes I am making result in you choosing another sitter or boarding facility. And I truly wish you and your fur baby or fur babies all the best. After doing some extensive research, I have come to the conclusion that this is the best option for my family and business. Thank you for your time and patience.

Active dog mom with great yardWenonah, Minneapolis, MN

I am a dog mom to 2 shih-tzu poodles, Maisy & Maiya who are 11 and 9. My partner (Martin) and I don’t have children but are very content with four-legged family members! I have done pet sitting for friends and family but decided to open it up for others in need as well. I have been a Rover sitter since April 2017 and have been enjoying every minute. We love to be active with our dogs, but also enjoying relaxing with puppy snuggles. Our yard is fenced in so the pups can run freely outside. I do daily walks as well.

I am a women’s health nurse practitioner and am off on Mondays. Martin is a ballroom dance professional and is off on Fridays.

Tuesday through Thursday I start work fairly early but Martin is home until the late morning with the pups, which allows for some flexibility with drop off and pick up.

I will try to maintain your dog's schedule and routine as best as possible. We welcome dogs on the furniture and in bed with us, although we will try to maintain whatever routine your dog is most used to.

We are minutes away from MSP and Lake Nokomis.

Please note changes for 2020:

My charges cover your dog for 24 hours of stay per Rover guidelines, which includes insurance and access to veterinary care.

If checkout time needs to be later than a 24 Hour period (example: drop off in early morning but pick up is late evening) I reserve the right to add a modified daycare rate of $18 to the booking.

*** My preferences list dogs between 41-100lbs but please note I actually only take dogs up to 50lbs***
