About: I've owned a dog and/or a cat since I left college and once had 3 dogs, 3 cats and 2 children under age 6 in the same house! I worked for a pet sitting business in Virginia for two years and love to observe animals and get to know to know them on their terms. Experience matters with pets and I have that, combined with great communication and common sense. I'm the person you want watching your furry friends when you can't be there. I'm also a photography lover and I'm happy to work to get some good shots of your animals while taking care of them. I'm a semi-retired journalist who often works remotely, so I have plenty of time to pet sit. With my kids in college, my nest is empty except for my Pueto Rican chihuahua mix, Nina. We walk two or three times a day when the weather and my schedule permits. I'll care for your pets as if they were mine. I've owned multiple cats and dogs, from 8 pounds up to 90. About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life! My husband and I both grew up with dogs, and we currently have two Lab mixes, ages 13 and 8. Caring for our senior dog has also given me firsthand experience with the extra patience, attention and slower pace older pups sometimes need. We’re a dog-loving family of four with a large, fully fenced backyard and a dog-friendly neighborhood perfect for walks. I’m comfortable with dogs of different ages, sizes and personalities, and I understand that every dog has their own routine and needs. I’m also available many weekends and holidays! Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. We have a large, fully fenced backyard with plenty of room to safely run, play and explore, plus a dog-friendly neighborhood for walks. We have two Lab mixes of our own and will always make sure introductions are comfortable for everyone. I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, crate time and any special instructions you provide. Dogs staying with us will be treated like part of the family, with plenty of attention, outdoor time and love. About: I’ve had pets my whole life. Currently, I have two dogs (Great Pyrenees and pitbull) and two cats. I have experience giving medication (pill and liquid format), as well as giving insulin, and even subcutaneous IV fluids. Because my dogs are so big, you bet I’ll be able to walk your dog(s) no matter their size! I love going to dog parks or just chilling on the couch for some cuddles. I also have experience with spicier critters who just need a little time and space. No matter how big or small, how old or young, I’ll take the best care of your babies. I work from home with a flexible schedule so popping over for play/potty breaks or house sitting for you during the work week is no problem. I’m available 5pm onwards and on weekends for sitting or more extensive care. I am flexible with my availability. I am very good at following any instructions you have for your fur baby when I come to your house. Anything you need me to do I’ll do it. The best possible feeling is knowing your animals are in good, safe hands when you’re not available to take care of them yourself and I promise to deliver.

About: I grew up raising cattle, goats, and horses. I have had pet dogs, cats, and fish all my life. I was a vet tech in my early twenties, and a milk goat and chicken owner in my thirties. My family and I currently live with and care for a dog, cats, and an indoor rabbit. I went through the AKC good citizen training with our current dog, and use only positive behavior strategies. I love all animals, and love to house sit and pet sit for friends and family. About: I have taken care of dogs since I was about 8 or 9, mostly family dogs to start. I have also house sat for not only family dogs but friends as well.
