About: I've owned a dog and/or a cat since I left college and once had 3 dogs, 3 cats and 2 children under age 6 in the same house! I worked for a pet sitting business in Virginia for two years and love to observe animals and get to know to know them on their terms. Experience matters with pets and I have that, combined with great communication and common sense. I'm the person you want watching your furry friends when you can't be there. I'm also a photography lover and I'm happy to work to get some good shots of your animals while taking care of them. I'm a semi-retired journalist who often works remotely, so I have plenty of time to pet sit. With my kids in college, my nest is empty except for my Pueto Rican chihuahua mix, Nina. We walk two or three times a day when the weather and my schedule permits. I'll care for your pets as if they were mine. I've owned multiple cats and dogs, from 8 pounds up to 90. If you have the patience and experience, almost every animal will give you clues on how they want to be treated.

“Robert is absolutely amazing! It has made a huge difference in me and my dogs lives and training. I am super busy, but he is great with working around my schedule and leaving detailed reviews/updates for me to review later. I have a hard time trusting people with my baby but his incredible growth has helped me immensely.”

“Sophie has been an extremely reliable dog walker for our pup over the past 5 months! She was great at managing his high energy levels and figuring out a play/walk routine that worked well for them both. We are very grateful for her services!”

“Tony was super friendly, had great communication and was awesome with our girls on their walks. Wrigley and Griffey were stoked when Tony came for their evening walks. My in-laws and my husband and I have nothing but great things to say about him! We will be using him again! Highly recommend!”

“Anna has been absolutely amazing to our sweet pup! She makes sure he gets plenty of exercise & I get lots of photos of their adventures which I love!”

“Michelle did an amazing job with Daisy. Very timely with communication in the booking process. Very impressed and will be the first place we look when we have walking needs!”

“It was a busy month and my schedule shifted a few times. Communication with Cindy is always clear and fast, and she was kind enough to adapt to my schedule each time I asked for a change. Am recommending Cindy to everyone I meet! Eli loves her and is happy and relaxed when I get home after a long day.”

“Phoebe has a 6th sense about what dogs need I think. She was terrific with our bashful Abby, being able to adapt to Abby only wanting to take a short walk and instead spending the rest of the walk time giving Abby extra love and belly rubs. We will definitely will call on Phoebe again!”

“Emily took great care of our dogs! She was on time for our meet and greet and made sure she got to know both Pete and Rosie. When she came to walk the dogs, she was able to get Rosie outside and down the road (which is a big accomplishment with a timid, blind dog)! We definitely would recommend Emily.”

About: Hi my name is Zoe! I live in Golden Valley and work as a nanny. I love animals and feel like they make life more fun. A bit about my experience with pets and animals is that I grew up in a pet household. I had a cat growing up and then eventually two dogs. I would help change cat litter, take dogs out on walks and play with them. I respect an animals space and if they want to be around me. I am firm when dogs don’t listen but not yelling at them. I love pet sitting, taking dogs on walks and just hanging out with them playing catch or tug of war. I’m a reliable person and have my own mode of transportation. I don’t have any pets at home but would love to hang with yours when you have other responsibilities and priorities. Please reach out and we can chat and do a meet up to see if it’s a right fit for both of us! Right now my schedule is semi open. I can adjust my schedule for pet care and other errands. Just let me know in advance. Just ask me questions. I will not offer my home up. However I will make sure that at your property keeping careful watch out of safety and the surrounding environment.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Falcon Heights
We hired Eleni to walk our dog, Bowser, while we were out of town and the friend watching him at night worked all day. When we discovered an 8 week old puppy under a car days before our trip, we scrambled on what to do. Eleni was more than happy to add her to the booking and spend extra time with her after the daily walks. The photos and updates were great, and we will definitely hire Eleni again in the future!

I maybe have left a review before but what's the harm in another! My pup is a little bit of a nervous girl and Haley has been very patient with her. Haley takes great care of my pup during, before and after their walks! And the updates I get from Haley about my dog are great!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
