“Kristen was wonderful! Took great care of my pup and was very communicative. When she noticed he was a little sad asked if her kids could come over and play with him to raise his spirits - I appreciated her attention to how my dog was doing and also making sure it was okay for her family to visit first.”

“Gretchen was wonderful!! This was our first time having someone other than family dog sit our two pups so I was nervous. Our dogs suffered severe trauma before we adopted them so they are very timid and shy. Gretchen was very patient and by the 3rd day was getting licks and pets. In addition, Gretchen was able to give me some great suggestions and kept me posted with pictures and videos. I would highly recommend her and request her services again in the future.”

“Ava is a go to for us! She takes such great care of our 2 labs, Lola and Daisy. Ava shares photos and communicates well. She takes care of things at the house when needed. We really appreciate Ava being our go to.”

“Elizabeth went above and beyond to take care of our pup and our home during her stay. She provided multiple updates and photos throughout the day and kept our dog safe and happy while we were away. Can’t recommend her enough!”

“Olivia has proven herself to be a reliable, dedicated, and generally awesome caretaker for our finicky dogs and cat while we were away, allowing us to enjoy our trip without worrying about a thing! We hope she is available the next time we have to head out of town, as she will be our go-to for any check-ins or pet sitting. We would recommend her without hesitation!”

“Carolyn treated my dog so well! She followed my notes to a T and ensured that she got lots of exercise and stimulation. She also provided frequent updates and photos. I can tell she cares deeply about animals, and I’m grateful she was able to watch my girl while I was out of town. I will definitely keep her in mind for future pet sitting needs!”

“excellent gal and great pricing too! she really goes above and beyond her pay grade and puts in the extra mile to make my animals feel safe while i was away! will rebook when needed!!! Also the pictures she sent put me at ease 11/10”

“Wonderful care and compassion. Highly recommend and great communication. We are new to Rover and the process and cannot thank Iuliia and Constantine enough for the care they show. Thank you.”

“Katherine did an excellent job watching my 3 dogs while we were away for 5 days. She kept me updated during the week which was very appreciated. And our house was so clean when we got home which was awesome! I will definitely use her again!”

“I had a great first experience with Penny! She was on time, sent updates and photos, left my home the way she found it, and seemed happy to spend time with my pups. Will definitely have her back.”

“Sarah was so kind and communicative; she handled our pets so well and sent lots of photos and updates, which was so appreciated. Thank you Sarah! We’d love to book with you again.”

“Billie was a delight to meet and she took extra good care of our 2 pups. We have a senior dog who is blind and deaf and likes to get up very early in the morning to eat. Billie took extra good care of her, getting up with her and making sure she got outside to go potty often. She also won over the trust of our other dog who can be a tough customer. She took the time to send us pictures and updates to let us know what was happening at home.We will definitely hire Billie again!”

“Rachel was awesome! She was great at communicating and kept me well updated while I was away. My pup was happy and content in her care. She was super flexible with my last minute scheduling. She did an awesome job.”

“Lilah is my go to house/dog sitter when I’m out of town! My two dogs are so well cared for, she communicates frequently, and even sends little check in photos!! So happy with Lilah’s care!”

“Jessica is a top notch Rover and chicken caretaker. She communicates daily with multiple pictures of your pet(s) and with comments on how it is going. She was very attentive to our dog's schedule so that they are loved and taken care of. She loves to go on long walks and also taking the dog out for 'sniff' walks. She stayed at our house and was very respectful of her surroundings. The house was clean and picked up. We had no worries and our dog, who can be anxious, seemed calm and happy upon our return!”

“Sergio did an AMAZING job! Our pug was well cared for and he left our home nice and clean for when we returned. Sergio was very responsive to messages and also sent us several pictures while we were away. We will definitely use him again!”

“Kristina did a fantastic job coming and staying with my dog. She sent multiple videos and kept me up to date throughout my trip. I would recommend her to anyone.”

About: I've loved and taken care of animals since I was about 3 years old. I always asked to be the one to feed the dog before dinner! I have 2 cats, who are my world. I have a lot of experience with dogs, and have a chihuahua named RiotGrrl. I love dogs. My family has always had dogs, and i once lived in a home where I helped care for 6 dogs, a cat and a rat. I have 26 years of pet care and sitting experience. I'm able to do overnight sitting in your home, walks and baths! Meal times too, of course. I would love to make your pup or cat my new fuzzy best friend! I'm currently free full time for pet care! Im available from 6am-8am and again from 1pm to 12am all weekdays and weekends. I'm available for walking and pet sitting for holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas etc). I do same day booking for walks, but require one day notice for stay in sittings. I prefer to watch animals in their own home, so they are the comfiest they can be. My apartment doesnt allow me to board unfortunately. I will completely stick to your pets normal daily schedule while they are in my care.

Ariana has provided excellent care for our two older dogs. They are relaxed and secure upon our return because their usual routines have been supported. Ariana is great with communication and maintains a positive outlook even when there are challenges to getting the dogs out such as hot or rainy weather. We have booked Ariana twice and would do so again.

Billie was a delight to meet and she took extra good care of our 2 pups. We have a senior dog who is blind and deaf and likes to get up very early in the morning to eat. Billie took extra good care of her, getting up with her and making sure she got outside to go potty often. She also won over the trust of our other dog who can be a tough customer. She took the time to send us pictures and updates to let us know what was happening at home.We will definitely hire Billie again!

Lauren was the first sitter I’ve utilized through Rover.com and I was very pleased. She stayed with my 6-year-old lab (Odin) for six days during which time she had to interface with construction crews, neighbors, and miscellaneous issues. Lauren responded immediately to all my communications which I appreciated. Odin seemed well taken care of during my absence. I’ll certainly engage her again.

Eleni is absolutely wonderful!!! She took such good care of my pup Pippin while I was away, and made sure I was updated throughout my trip with great pictures and videos. She was so easy to trust as a pet sitter and I knew that my home and more importantly my dog were in great hands with her. She took such care to get to know my dog, his needs, any quirks about him, etc. before even starting the sitting so I knew it would go smoothly. Don’t hesitate to book with Eleni - she’s the BEST!

This was our second time having Wendy pet sit for us, and once again she was wonderful. She is reliable, communicative, and takes great care of our pets. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands while we’re away. We would definitely recommend her and use her again.

Tony house/dog sat overnight with my 2 frenchies. We coordinated a plan ahead of time to also have him bring his dog to help socialize my frenchies. With his experience as a dog trainer I felt that I could trust him to take care of my dogs and socialize them at the same time. He came over for a meet/greet beforehand and was very pleasant. Will definitely book again.

This was our first time using Rover for a house stay/pet sitting, so we were a bit nervous. It was obvious at our meet and greet that Sam was going to be great. She had great rapport with us and our animals, and did a great job taking care of everything. Our pup Rocco requires medication, which she administered and tracked, and we received updates according to our preferences. We came back to a clean house and happy, relaxed animals. Rocco misses her already!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Falcon Heights walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Falcon Heights maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Falcon Heights choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Falcon Heights. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
