“This was our first experience with Jeffery. He did an awesome job of taking care of our cat, Gilmore. I know our cat really liked Jeffery as well based on the great pictures he sent of him. I would highly recommend him!”

“Kaitlin is a life saver for our sensitive yet energetic girl, taking extra care to make her feel safe and loved. Kaitlin is one of the few people we trust to care for Pearl. Thank you Kaitlin!”

“Julie watched our two cats while we were gone on vacation for a week. Julie was very professional and trustworthy. We were given text notice with pictures of the cats each day Julie stopped by. Our cats were well taken care of and, in addition, our mail was collected. It really was nice to not have to worry about our pets while away. I’d definitely recommend Julie.”

“Yuanqing (Ping Ping) was extraordinary! My cats are quite shy, but she kept me updated on them, and even managed to make friends with them! Really remarkable level of service. I cannot recommend her highly enough. I will be sure to request her services the next time I have to leave town.”

“My cats love her! She is kind, attentive, and a great communicator. Thankful that every time we go on a long trip we have Katelyn to take care of the fuzzy members of our family ❤️”

“Hanna was responsible, communicative and loving to our dog while we were away. She went above and beyond to ensure he was comfortable and happy. We look forward to using her services again in the future!”

“We were so glad Katherine could come back to care for our sweet kitty. She is a great support when we are out of town! Always communicative and thorough with updates. Definitely recommend!”

About: Pets have been part of my family for my whole life. Current animals in my home include Timber (a 8-year-old English Cream Retriever) and Cedar (a 6-year-old tuxedo cat who is comfortable with cat-friendly dogs). My 1/4 acre lot features a large, fenced yard with plenty of room to run, and I am home almost all the time, so I can provide all the care and attention your pet needs. I look forward to meeting your furry family member! I work from home with a ton of flexibility. My schedule allows me the flexibility to give your pet all of the care they need. Your pet will receive constant care and attention with plenty of opportunity to play in my large, fenced yard. The interior of my family's home features plenty of space for your pet to relax comfortably, with room for crating if your pet needs. I have experience with pets who need medication (my own takes a twice daily medication) or special care. I would love to invite you to stop by for a meet-and-greet!
About: I have lived with cats since I was 14 years old and have looked after cats and dogs independently since I was 16. I am comfortable with administering medications from my time working at Grand Avenue Veterinary Clinic. I typically work a week day that leaves me away from the house from the hours of 7am to 7pm. Please consider this when determining if I would be a good option for caring for your furry family! As I will be in your and your pets home, making sure everyone is comfortable with me in the space! My goal is to make your pet as comfortable as possible while you are away. If you have any specific concerns about going on walks or interacting with other humans and pets please let me know so I can abide by what works best for your family. I have been trained on how to pill animals who are nervous about medication to ensure that your pet recieves their medication and remains safe and supported in the process. If you should ask me to take care of your home I make sure to grab the mail daily and follow the motto of leave it better than you found it! I want to have you to come home to a clean house.

“Sierra was a great cat sitter for us over a long weekend. She dropped in when requested, fed and checked in on our cats, and maintained great communication during our vacation. She was quick to respond and gave a bit of extra attention to our senior cat. We would highly recommend her and book with her again!”

About: I am a dog mom, and have taken care of my Ozzy since he was a puppy. I also volunteer at MaxFund animal shelter, where I walk dogs in my free time! I love the outdoors and enjoy going for walks around the lake. Good news! I am home for the summer, so I will have plenty of time during the week to watch your pup! I am pretty flexible during the week and weekend, please see my booking calendar for my availability. Since I only offer pet sitting in your home at the moment, you can be rest assured that I am clean and respectful and will make sure your dogs have the best time and are well taken care of.
About: I'm 42 years old and have grown up with dogs my entire life. I have always loved animals and want to help those in need. I'm very loving, caring and detail oriented. I currently have three amazing pups, they are 11, 5 and 2 years old (miniature pincher and two german shepherds), they have been through training school and are very obedient. My husband and I live alone with our two sons who love dogs. I started sitting through Rover when I was laid off from the tech company I worked for about a few years ago and I absolutely loved it. I am now available for walks and drop ins, 12pm -2pm and 3pm- 12am. I'm glad to answer any questions you have. I look forward to meeting you and your pups! ( I am allergic to certain bulldogs, pit bulls, whippets and greyhounds) I am available from 12-2pm and 3pm - 12am Monday through Friday with the exception of Thursday afternoons which I’d be available from 5pm and onwards. I may occasionally bring my sons, they have grown up around dogs and are very respectful. Update: I am currently only available for walks and drop ins. My yard is fully fenced. Hank is kenneled if I leave the house. I also have two larger kennels and can accommodate kennel trained pups. My dogs will always be kenneled if I leave the house. For sleeping I usually follow what the client prefers but at no time would your dog be left unsupervised with mine. If your dog likes to sleep on the couch at night I will kennel my dogs. We are knowledgeable and aware of foods dogs should and shouldn’t have.
About: Hey, my name is Amy and I have a natural love for animals my whole life. Animals are my life! I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. My 7 years of experience in Pet Care is from having my own pets and caring for family, friends and volunteering over the years. I have a dog named Cody and I’ve become known as the “Neighborhood Sitter” where I live because I babysit and dog sit for EVERYONE I know. I am very fun, outgoing, and enthusiastic and that all comes to life more when I’m around animals. I am currently working full time but my shifts are spaced well enough for me to be able to care for pets around my schedule. I am very loving and gentle with all pets and can be very outgoing and energetic while playing with them as well. I am very responsible and can manage any needs your pet may have.
“Joel provided an amazing drop-in service for us twice daily for 6 days for our 4 senior Dachshunds. He communicated with us each time he stopped by and sent pictures of the pups eating, getting some outdoor play time and settling down for naps until his next visit. They truly bonded with him because he gave them the kind of attention they crave—food, belly rubs and back scratches. One of the pups is blind and he helped her up and down the steps to walk in the grass. We could enjoy our trip knowing our pups were getting great care and attention while their needs were being met. Very satisfied with the job Joel did for us!!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
