“Alex was great with my two cats! She was reliable and sent detailed updates and pictures twice daily. She gave them food, made sure the water fountain was full and scooped both litter boxes. She played with them, gave pets and scratches, and brushed them as well. She went above and beyond to get to know them and understand each cat. She was patient with my scardy cat Milo. It was such a relief to be able to feel at ease, knowing she was there caring for my cats. Both were happy and content when I got home. I highly recommend Alex and would definitely use her again to watch my two cats.”

“Brianna has been doing drop in/walk visits with Parker. She’s fantastic with him, so clearly a dog lover!!! I couldn’t have asked for a better person to take care of him, and I would highly recommend her!!”

“Jeff always does such a great job! His photos are thorough and information reassuring. I feel confident my cat, Nora, is well taken care of. She also gets those snuggles that she craves too. So happy with Jeff as our cat sitter!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have over 30 years of experience caring for family pets. Feeding, walking, playing, and giving them lots of love has always been a natural part of my life. We don’t have any pets of our own right now, so we’re excited for the opportunity to love on and care for other people’s pets! Every pet is unique, and I’ll make sure yours feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I’ll treat your furry family member like one of my own. We are business owners and a homeschool family with 4 animal loving kids without any pets of our own right now- we would love the opportunity to love on your pets when you can't! We have a mostly fenced in yard and a walking path! We enjoy being active and always choose pet friendly locations wherever we go! Our goal is to keep your pet feeling loved and safe when in our care! If you're open to children tagging along & your pup is comfortable with us we would love make this a family venture, but understand if that doesn't make sense for you!
“This was our first time using Rover and it couldn’t have been better. Tara was great! I really appreciated the daily photos and updates for both of our cats. I could tell they were well-cared for when we arrived home.”

About: I’ve pet sit since I was about 12 years old typically while babysitting! I love all pets so much and think that taking care of them is so fun! Being around animals is like therapy for me, so being able to petsit is something I enjoy so much! I love being able to care and spoil pets while I am with them. I also care and respect you, the owner, if in your house I make sure that it is as clean, if not cleaner, than it was when you left. I also promise to treat your pet like my own. I currently work full time Monday through Friday from 9:45-4 as a nanny. Aside from this time I have a lot of flexibility and would love to help your family! As I said before, your pets are going to feel so loved in your home. I will love on them and give them so many pets! I make sure that if they make a mess I clean it up to keep your home clean and your pets (and you) happy
About: I have had animals my whole life. From Great Danes, to guinea pigs, German Sheppards, Coon hounds, and now a penbrook welsh corgi! I now have 3 cats, which was my dream growing up in an allergic household. I love animals of all kinds, and what sets me apart is my motivation and empathy. I am the executive assistant for a sales and marketing firm. I love animals, and would love to fill my spare time with them. I have a flexible schedule, and put my commitments first. I out safety and trust above all else. While there are many ways you can keep an animal safe, the biggest focus is potential for harm. Whether that means access to harmful toxins, access to water and food, or even just a safe comfort environment. My focus is to make sure the animal and myself are both happy healthy and comfortable.

I am not afraid of any breed, they are all puppies in my eyes. I make them as comfortable as possible, I treat them with respect and love. I always follow the directions provided by the owner to the letter!

I have a friendly older cat but he can be separated if needed.
About: I’ve been caring for pets my whole life. I started pet sitting for friends, family, and neighbors at around age 11 for both cats and dogs, including walking, playing, basic care, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable! I’m currently a senior in high school, so I’m available after school on weekdays. I’m typically free after 3:30 PM. I have open availability on weekends and holidays, which makes me flexible for longer stays and last minute requests. I care for pets in their own home so they can stay comfortable in a familiar environment. I follow all instructions clearly and carefully while making safety a priority. I’m very respectful of clients’ homes and would also be happy to send updates.
“Joel provided an amazing drop-in service for us twice daily for 6 days for our 4 senior Dachshunds. He communicated with us each time he stopped by and sent pictures of the pups eating, getting some outdoor play time and settling down for naps until his next visit. They truly bonded with him because he gave them the kind of attention they crave—food, belly rubs and back scratches. One of the pups is blind and he helped her up and down the steps to walk in the grass. We could enjoy our trip knowing our pups were getting great care and attention while their needs were being met. Very satisfied with the job Joel did for us!!”

“I had a last-minute need and Ashley was happy to help. She is so patient with Max, and he loves his time with her. Ashley truly sees the jewel in each dog. We're blessed to have found her!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
