“Avery was super helpful in looking after our old german shorthair pointer. She was knowledgeable and understanding when we described our dog’s quirks and anxiety. She managed her beautifully and we didn’t have to worry a but while we were away. We’ll definitely re-book Avery again in the future.”

“Kaitlin is a life saver for our sensitive yet energetic girl, taking extra care to make her feel safe and loved. Kaitlin is one of the few people we trust to care for Pearl. Thank you Kaitlin!”

About: I have about 8.5 years of pet care experience, caring for both my own cat and dog as well as pets for friends and family. I’m comfortable with dogs of different personalities and needs, including administering medication and caring for a dog with severe separation anxiety. I treat every pet like they’re my own, providing patient, reliable, and loving care so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I am available to do drop in visits for dogs and cats in the morning before work, during the lunch hour, and evenings as needed. I am able to accommodate dog walking as well. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I know every pet has their own routine, so I’ll follow your instructions carefully to help them feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. Whether it’s a drop-in visit, a walk, or staying in your home, I’ll provide plenty of attention, playtime, fresh food and water, potty breaks, medication if needed, and lots of love. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy peace of mind knowing your pet is in caring, dependable hands.
“Brianna has been doing drop in/walk visits with Parker. She’s fantastic with him, so clearly a dog lover!!! I couldn’t have asked for a better person to take care of him, and I would highly recommend her!!”

About: Hi, I’m Elizabeth — a full-time, work-from-home dog mom living in a beautiful, wooded setting with trails right outside our door. Dogs in my care enjoy fresh air, frequent walks, and a calm, loving home environment. I’m outside with the pups multiple times a day — whether it’s structured exercise, supervised playtime, or a slow sniff-and-stroll for our senior friends. We have a sweet, social 2-year-old Standard Poodle who gets along with everyone — from rambunctious puppies to mellow old souls. My husband also works from home, which means your dog will never be left alone and always has an extra set of hands. I have experience with all ages and stages — from crate training curious puppies to providing gentle support for older dogs and administering medications (oral and topical). I follow feeding and care routines to the letter, and I’m always happy to provide updates, pics, or videos so you can relax knowing your pup is safe, happy, and loved. Whether you’re planning a vacation or just need a reliable day-to-day helping hand, I treat every dog like one of my own — with patience, play, and a whole lot of love. I work from home full-time, so I’m with the dogs all day — not just “checking in,” but truly present. We go on multiple walks each day, explore nearby trails, and take plenty of breaks for play, snuggles, and outside time. My own dog thrives with this routine, and I love extending that same level of care to the pets I host. Whether it’s managing medications, reinforcing training, or simply being a calm, consistent presence, pet care is a natural and joyful part of my everyday life. In my home, pets are treated like family. I maintain a calm, structured, and loving environment with plenty of time outdoors I follow your pet’s routines closely: feeding schedules, meds, crate time, and any house rules you use at home. Dogs are never left alone for more than a few hours (both my husband and I work from home), and we keep a close eye on how everyone’s adjusting — especially first-timers, puppies, or older pets who need extra support.

About: Dogs have been an important part of my life for many years. I currently own an 8-year-old Siberian Husky named Storm, so I have extensive experience caring for large, energetic dogs and understanding their exercise needs. We have a large, fully fenced private backyard where dogs can safely play and explore. My family provides a loving, structured home environment, and dogs receive plenty of attention and care throughout the day. We also have two young children, so we only accept dogs that are friendly, gentle, and comfortable around kids. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, happy, and at home while their owners are away. Pet care is already a consistent part of my daily routine. I am a stay-at-home mom to two children, so I am home throughout the day and able to provide attention, care, and supervision for pets. Each day, we go on at least one longer walk with our dog, in addition to shorter potty breaks and outdoor time as needed. These walks are a regular part of our schedule and help ensure our 8-year-old Siberian Husky gets the exercise and stimulation he needs. We also spend time in our large fenced-in backyard, which gives additional safe space for activity and play. Because I’m home during the day, I’m able to be flexible and responsive to a dog’s needs—whether that’s extra potty breaks, attention, or adjusting activity based on energy level or weather. Overall, pet care fits very naturally into our household rhythm and is already an important part of our daily family routine. We start the day with feeding, potty breaks, and a walk, and we typically do at least one longer walk each day to make sure our dog gets enough exercise and mental stimulation. Since we have an 8-year-old Siberian Husky, we’re very familiar with meeting the needs of high-energy dogs and making sure they stay active and engaged. Throughout the day, pets are part of our home environment. Because I am a stay-at-home mom to two young children, I’m home and available to provide regular supervision, attention, and outdoor breaks as needed. We also have a large fenced-in backyard, which allows for safe outdoor play and extra exercise time. In the evenings, we maintain a calm routine with another potty break, feeding, and time spent relaxing together as a family. I focus on keeping pets comfortable, well-exercised, and integrated into a structured but flexible household where they are treated like part of the family.
“Joel provided an amazing drop-in service for us twice daily for 6 days for our 4 senior Dachshunds. He communicated with us each time he stopped by and sent pictures of the pups eating, getting some outdoor play time and settling down for naps until his next visit. They truly bonded with him because he gave them the kind of attention they crave—food, belly rubs and back scratches. One of the pups is blind and he helped her up and down the steps to walk in the grass. We could enjoy our trip knowing our pups were getting great care and attention while their needs were being met. Very satisfied with the job Joel did for us!!”

About: I had my first dog when I was 7 years old, I was helping my dad to train my dog. I was responsible for his walks, food, etc. After my first dog experience, I’ve decided that animals make me so happy. I had 8-10 senior/young dogs that I took care of. I also had four cats that I was taking care of. Some birds, fish, turtles, horses… I genuinely love spending time with animals I am currently in college full time, we can always schedule a week ahead to make sure if I have enough time for your dog! Unfortunately I won’t be able to take your dog to my house for nights but I can take them during the day. I have fenced backyard that your animals can have their own space and have fun!
About: What sets me apart is my combination of professional experience and a lifetime of hands-on pet care. I spent over three years working in a dog daycare and boarding facility, caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities. I also worked as a pet store manager, which gave me valuable experience with animal behavior, care, and overall pet wellness. I understand that every pet is unique, so I take the time to learn their routine, personality, and specific needs to help them feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, anxious, or a senior needing extra attention, I provide patient, personalized care tailored to them. I am comfortable administering medications, following detailed care instructions, and providing regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in caring and capable hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work from home most days, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, companionship, potty breaks, and exercise throughout the day. I only go into the office one day per week, so I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate most pets’ routines and needs. Caring for animals has always been a part of my life, and I enjoy incorporating walks, playtime, feeding schedules, and quality one-on-one attention into my day. Whether your pet prefers an active day or a quiet companion nearby, I can provide a comfortable and consistent environment while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to maintain their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure while their family is away. I follow all feeding schedules, exercise routines, medication instructions, and any other specific care requests. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, playtime, affection, and mental stimulation based on their individual needs and personality. I understand that inviting someone into your home requires trust, so I treat every home with the same respect and care I would my own. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away.
About: I have had dogs in my home for almost my whole life. I have a pug, golden retriever, and a mutt that are all a couple years apart in age. For two years, I volunteered at a humane society where I walked and cared for dogs of all kinds. Senior, puppy, sick, I have a lot of experience and I would love to get more! I’m currently working at a golf course near Forest Lake. My schedule for work comes out weekly, so I’m unaware what my weeks look like well in advance. I don’t like to do this, but if your pups are able to be home for about 6-8, then this would be a great fit! Obviously I wouldn’t work every day of the week, so I will be available to give them my full attention. Your pups are my priority and I wouldn’t want them to feel uncomfortable with my wack work schedule in any way. My shifts will either be 6-2 or 2-9, or shorter. I prioritize respect for your space and routines. Whether your pet prefers potty breaks in a fenced yard or leashed walks, I’ll follow your preferences to keep them comfortable and safe.
“Norah is the best Rover watcher we have ever had!! When she first came over to meet Kingston and Theodore, she brought and took notes throughout the doggy meet and greet. She was so prompt and took pictures of the boys every visit and they were loved and happy!! Would highly recommend to anyone who wants their babies to have a lot of love!!”

About: Currently, I don’t have pets. But I watch my grand pup, Seina on a regular basis. She is a 3 yr old Parson Russel Terrier. I work in the mornings from 7am - 12pm. I’m usually home the remainder of the day. When I’m not home I have doggie cameras set up so I can check in on your dog. I live in a townhome. So I will take your dog for plenty of walks. They will receive lots of cuddles, love and special attention.
“Jeffery did a great job taking care of my cat. I was very pleased with his communication. I also enjoyed seeing pictures. My cat usually hides from new people, but she liked Jeffery.”

About: I have lived with cats since I was 14 years old and have looked after cats and dogs independently since I was 16. I am comfortable with administering medications from my time working at Grand Avenue Veterinary Clinic. I typically work a week day that leaves me away from the house from the hours of 7am to 7pm. Please consider this when determining if I would be a good option for caring for your furry family! As I will be in your and your pets home, making sure everyone is comfortable with me in the space! My goal is to make your pet as comfortable as possible while you are away. If you have any specific concerns about going on walks or interacting with other humans and pets please let me know so I can abide by what works best for your family. I have been trained on how to pill animals who are nervous about medication to ensure that your pet recieves their medication and remains safe and supported in the process. If you should ask me to take care of your home I make sure to grab the mail daily and follow the motto of leave it better than you found it! I want to have you to come home to a clean house.

Heather is great. She always takes good care of my kitties and I always feel comfortable leaving them in her care. I feel she understands my kitties and all their little quirks and she makes it a point to cater to their individual needs. Pets and lots of loving for my social boy and understanding and allowing space for my timid boy. Definitely a great sitter.

Avery was super helpful in looking after our old german shorthair pointer. She was knowledgeable and understanding when we described our dog’s quirks and anxiety. She managed her beautifully and we didn’t have to worry a but while we were away. We’ll definitely re-book Avery again in the future.

- 95% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
