About: I have had dogs in my home for almost my whole life. I have a pug, golden retriever, and a mutt that are all a couple years apart in age. For two years, I volunteered at a humane society where I walked and cared for dogs of all kinds. Senior, puppy, sick, I have a lot of experience and I would love to get more! I’m currently working at a golf course near Forest Lake. My schedule for work comes out weekly, so I’m unaware what my weeks look like well in advance. I don’t like to do this, but if your pups are able to be home for about 6-8, then this would be a great fit! Obviously I wouldn’t work every day of the week, so I will be available to give them my full attention. Your pups are my priority and I wouldn’t want them to feel uncomfortable with my wack work schedule in any way. My shifts will either be 6-2 or 2-9, or shorter. I prioritize respect for your space and routines. Whether your pet prefers potty breaks in a fenced yard or leashed walks, I’ll follow your preferences to keep them comfortable and safe.

About: I have lived with cats since I was 14 years old and have looked after cats and dogs independently since I was 16. I am comfortable with administering medications from my time working at Grand Avenue Veterinary Clinic. I typically work a week day that leaves me away from the house from the hours of 7am to 7pm. Please consider this when determining if I would be a good option for caring for your furry family! As I will be in your and your pets home, making sure everyone is comfortable with me in the space! My goal is to make your pet as comfortable as possible while you are away. If you have any specific concerns about going on walks or interacting with other humans and pets please let me know so I can abide by what works best for your family. I have been trained on how to pill animals who are nervous about medication to ensure that your pet recieves their medication and remains safe and supported in the process. If you should ask me to take care of your home I make sure to grab the mail daily and follow the motto of leave it better than you found it! I want to have you to come home to a clean house.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my dedication and patience. I have taken care of dogs ranging from 2 years or to 17 years old. I have experience with older dog and having to clean up accidents as well. I currently have a full time job that I work from 8:30-5pm Monday-Thursday, 9-3 on Fridays. With early communication I am willing to make adjustments to accommodate if it makes sense. I would prefer to watch your pet in their environment. I think it helps them feel more comfortable with me and being in a space they know.

“Joel provided an amazing drop-in service for us twice daily for 6 days for our 4 senior Dachshunds. He communicated with us each time he stopped by and sent pictures of the pups eating, getting some outdoor play time and settling down for naps until his next visit. They truly bonded with him because he gave them the kind of attention they crave—food, belly rubs and back scratches. One of the pups is blind and he helped her up and down the steps to walk in the grass. We could enjoy our trip knowing our pups were getting great care and attention while their needs were being met. I live in a secure apartment building with a fenced-in dog area and can be with your pet at all times if they need extra attention. I follow each owner’s feeding schedule, portion and medication instructions, and any crate or training rules. In a client’s home I respect your space and routines, lock doors and gates after every visit, refresh water, tidy any messes, and leave a detailed visit note. I use secure leashes and carriers as needed, offer enrichment (toys, games, gentle training), limit interactions with other animals unless approved, and monitor pets closely for signs of stress or illness.
