Elouise took in Elon, nurtured him back to life (he was in rough shape), and has kept him ever since. I can personally attest to Shelli’s effect on dogs. I have a dog that was unable to be socialized as a puppy. He’s always afraid and even shows some fear aggression at times. The first time Shelli met him, he was cautious, but was immediately drawn to her. Within minutes he was begging her for more pets and attention. Your dog will be in great hands while in Shelli’s care!”

About: I've had dogs and cats in my life since I was young. I currently have two dogs, both are hound mixes. We live an active lifestyle. One dog has high anxiety and I have been through extensive training with him. I dog sit a family members two dogs when she goes out of town several times a year. One dog has hip dysplasia and I have researched ways to help with pain and discomfort. I currently work full time day shift. I will generally be available after 4PM but I have random weekdays and weekends off to care for your pets! I have a fenced in yard, and two dog friendly dogs. I have experience with high anxiety and handicap dogs that need medication several times a day. I have two large crates as my dogs are over 50 pounds if that is something that is needed.

About: I spent much of my childhood working on a family farm that was both a working ranch and a wildlife rehab facility. It was there that I learned how to take care of all types of animals and also realized how therapeutic it was for me to be around animals. In 2020 I got Milo, who is my service dog. He is an 18lb Cavapoo who is trained to go everywhere with me. He is great with other dogs! I currently work part time as a swim instructor which gives me a lot of flexibility to care for furry and feathered friends. My job requires me to be on site Saturday 8-1, Sunday 8-1, and Tuesday from 3:30 - 8:00. Being around animals and taking on the responsibility of caring for them has always been healing for me. I take their safety very seriously. I am attentive to their energy, characteristics, and all around personality to ensure they feel safe and loved at all times. Each animal is different, and it is important to understand and develop personalized care for each one.

About: We have taken care of family dogs since we were both young children. We have a small child and one 6 year old dog of our own. We have plenty of dog toys to go around! We have a baby gate to our basement level if needed. One of us works at home most days of the week and therefore can be home to entertain your loved pup as needed. Our back yard is fenced in, with one side of the yard fenced in with chicken wire. Our dog has never gotten over it or around it. We do not have specialized dog training, just a love for dogs and having them be a part of our family! Our dog is a part of our family, going out several times a day to run in the yard especially on days we work at home. He is welcome on our furniture and in our bed. Our dog has a moderate energy level, likes to nap a lot throughout the day but will play with toys at times. We feed our dog 2x/day with water available at any time which is left out in his food area. Our dog is not crate trained. We have a baby gate to our basement level to use as needed. Our home is baby proofed, so may come in handy for some dogs. We have lots of dog toys to use. Our back yard is fenced in, with one side of the yard fenced in with chicken wire. Our dog has never gotten over it or around it. We will work with you to adhere to any schedules, preferences, and communication level you prefer. Happy to send pictures along the way!

“Shani watches my cat when we go up north to our cabin in the summertime. She comes over a few times each day to sit and play with our cat. She is very trustworthy and takes care of my cat like it’s her own pet. I am always worried my cat will accidentally get outside, but I know she worries about that too and is so cautious by doors. She will send us pictures and update us on what’s going on. I wouldn’t have anyone else watch my cat besides her.”
