I am recently retired, so my schedule is flexible. I am available during the day and most evenings and am able to work around your schedule. I currently have two cats and previously had dogs, so I understand the importance of keeping them on a regular schedule. Being around animals gives me joy, so I look forward to spending quality time with your pet.

I follow your instructions and make sure to follow your pet’s lead when interacting with them. I send you pictures, so you can see how your pet is doing when you are away. I can also check mail and water plants if needed.

A typical day
For dogs, we will go on walks with plenty of time for them to explore. If they have a favorite toy or enjoy being petted, we will do that. For cats, we will play with toys and/or cuddle -whatever they prefer.

Pet care experience
In addition to living with cats and dogs for most of my life, I have also volunteered as a dog walker at the humane society. In addition to pets, I also volunteered at the Wildlife Science Center with feeding animals such as foxes, raccoons, bobcats, a lynx, and skunks, and I had the opportunity to care for wolf pups at the International Wolf Center.

Catherine (Kate) is a dear friend of mine for over 15 years, newly retired and excited to pursue her love of animals by caring for pets! I can personally attest to her kind, patient and nurturing character as she has cared for and spent a ton of time with my elderly dog as well as my crazy puppy. Shes got two cats of her own and yes, the world may revolve around them as well. Kate is one of the most reliable people I know. And punctual? Always! I trust Kate fully with my home, cabin, and of course, my pets. Animals have always been a big part of her life from her beloved dog, her cats and many years spent volunteering at the Wolf center. She loves long walks and joining us at the dog park for fun. Reliable, punctual, kind, easygoing and trustworthy are qualities I’ve looked for in caring for my pets and Kate checks all the boxes! I highly recommend for drop in pet care and excellent walks at your dogs pace. Kate is a darn good human who loves animals!
