About: I've owned a dog and/or a cat since I left college and once had 3 dogs, 3 cats and 2 children under age 6 in the same house! I worked for a pet sitting business in Virginia for two years and love to observe animals and get to know to know them on their terms. Experience matters with pets and I have that, combined with great communication and common sense. I'm the person you want watching your furry friends when you can't be there. I'm also a photography lover and I'm happy to work to get some good shots of your animals while taking care of them. I'm a semi-retired journalist who often works remotely, so I have plenty of time to pet sit. With my kids in college, my nest is empty except for my Pueto Rican chihuahua mix, Nina. We walk two or three times a day when the weather and my schedule permits. I'll care for your pets as if they were mine. I've owned multiple cats and dogs, from 8 pounds up to 90. If you have the patience and experience, almost every animal will give you clues on how they want to be treated.

About: I am new to Rover, but I have many years of experience in taking care of animals. In addition to living with cats and dogs for most of my life, I have also volunteered as a dog walker at the humane society. In addition to pets, I also volunteered at the Wildlife Science Center with feeding animals such as foxes, raccoons, bobcats, a lynx, and skunks, and I had the opportunity to care for wolf pups at the International Wolf Center. I am recently retired, so my schedule is flexible. I am available during the day and most evenings and am able to work around your schedule. I currently have two cats and previously had dogs, so I understand the importance of keeping them on a regular schedule. Being around animals gives me joy, so I look forward to spending quality time with your pet. I follow your instructions and make sure to follow your pet’s lead when interacting with them. I send you pictures, so you can see how your pet is doing when you are away. I can also check mail and water plants if needed.

About: I grew up with three labradors, and love caring for dogs of all sizes and ages! I have experience with small and medium sized dogs, and I've have also walked Great Danes (which are about as tall as me!). I love dogs of all ages, and especially have a soft spot in my heart for older and aging dogs who might need a slower pace. If you work long hours and need someone to walk your dog at lunch or in the afternoon, this works perfectly for me. I am available from mid morning to early evening. Your dog's safety is extremely important to me. I keep dogs leased, avoid busy and crowded streets whenever possible, stay alert for traffic and other animals, and listen to pet parent requests for your dog's safety.

About: I have cared for every breed of dog from small terrier to beagle to st Bernard's and pit bulls since the age of 8. I am a lifelong pet person who has cared for both family members pets, my own pets, as well as the pets of friends, neighbors and collies. Worked extensively with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, snakes and fish. I have an incredibly flexible schedule as I work remote and am able to fit in most times of convenience if scheduled ahead of time. I have dependable transportation and can work from anywhere in the twin cities (or country for that matter) if the job called for it. Dog walking I can drop in and provide such service anywhere in the cities, and times are flexible if notified in advance My home has two levels, plenty of space, a balcony and fenced in front yard. I have a backyard as well. The home is clean and can ensure the pets continued safety and comfort. I am willing and able to commute to pet sit in the event of a client working or being out of town. There is a cat in my home who is good with other animals and very friendly himself.

About: I’ve cared for dogs since my teenage years, from puppies to seniors. Lately, I’ve fostered and adopted senior rescues. I consider dogs some of the most special creatures on Earth. I work full-time from home and love having dog-walking breaks throughout the day. I can sit in your home (as long as there’s wi-fi so I can log into work) or mine. My 15-year old Chihuahua mix passed away recently, so I currently do not have an animal companion in my home, though that doesn’t last very long with me! I do not have a fenced-in yard; however, there is a walking path across the front street of my home and a city park across the street in the back.

I have taken care of senior animals in their last leg of life, almost like a pet hospice. Everyone deserves comfort and love. I have 2 cats myself, with my family. We all take turns and take time to care for the animals. They are like family to us, so its just kind of second nature to add them into our schedules. In the client's home I would prefer a list of how you like your animal cared for as everyone has different schedules, but I would try to keep myself and your pets to your schedule. I know that structure can really help some people, and I know some loose reigns help others. So just give me a heads up for what you need and I will fit my style accordingly.
