About: I’ve loved animals my whole life and grew up with both dogs and cats, so caring for pets has always been a natural part of my daily life. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes—from small breeds to large, energetic dogs—and I enjoy making sure they get the exercise, attention, and care they need. I volunteer at a local animal shelter where I help walk and spend time with dogs waiting for their forever homes. Whether it’s a walk, drop-in visit, or pet sitting, I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. I’m patient, attentive, and happy to follow your pet’s routine so they feel relaxed while you’re away. I also love sending updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. I work in the clinic four days a week, but I’m available on Thursdays and weekends. During those times, I’m able to dedicate my attention to walks, drop-ins, and spending quality time with pets. I enjoy being active and getting outside, so caring for pets fits perfectly into my schedule and allows me to give them the attention, exercise, and care they need I live in an apartment, so I make sure pets get outside regularly for walks, bathroom breaks, and exercise based on their individual needs and energy level. I’m dedicated to keeping pets active, engaged, and comfortable while they’re in my care. When I’m in a client’s home, I respect their space and carefully follow the pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, and any specific instructions.

We are so happy to have Josh walk our pups! He came over for a meet n greet and it went fantastic! We had him scheduled for a week in June to do daily walks but since it went so well, we wanted to start sooner! He just had his first official walk and it went so great. He’s a great communicator and is very prompt! Lucky to have Josh helping with our pups!

Alison and Tom were fantastic with our three pomeranians! They first did a meet and greet to make sure they could learn everything they needed to know about their care and personalities. We really appreciated that extra step. They visited the boys exactly when they said they would and sent us pictures while were gone along with updates. I'm so glad we found them and will definitely enlist their services again.

About: Hey, I'm Maia and I've been taking care of pets since the age of ten, I love all animals and personally have 3 cats but have also previously had two dachshunds. Throughout the years I've taken care of a multitude of animals from large golden retrievers to small rodents. I'm especially good with shy animals and I'm ready to take all the time it needs for your pet to trust me. No matter the size, age or personality I'm exited to get to know your furry friend and give them to the care they need! I'm currently a student out of state and am available during all brakes. During the summer and all major holidays I'm ready to give your pet my full and undivided attention. I love the outdoors and spend a majority of my time out of school hiking and taking runs thought the neighborhood and nearby nature. I love having company wether that be a friend or a furry pal. My three cats are fully indoors and get most of their energy out by playing with one another or running around the house with me. My yard is fully fenced in and I live in a very walkable neighborhood great for dogs. While I am well experienced with both cats and dogs I love to hear all your personal tips and tricks for your furry friend as you know them best!

Emma was fantastic with my dog! He took to her so quickly and he’s usually more shy/timid around strangers. She followed all instructions to a T and took a bunch of photos which I appreciate. I would absolutely recommend Emma to watch your fur babies!

About: I have been around pets my entire life. I bring a kind and calming energy to pet care. I know how to read a dog/cats body language. This helps me develop a positive trusting relationship with your pet. I currently have a senior kitty cat who is 16 years old and have had pets in the past that needed daily medication. I work from home with minimal meetings. This gives me flexibility for pet care and checking in, even if it’s on short notice. I also can work from other locations if longer pet care is required. I will follow whatever your instructions are to a T. If there is something I need clarification on, I will always communicate with you first. For clients interested in boarding - I have one cat who prefers to stay in one room most of the day. If I board your dog, my cat will stay in her room with the door shut. There will be zero interaction between them.

Bethany was awesome me and my husband were going to be away on A trip our Dog Booker was staying home with our parents but they weren’t going to be able to give him the required exercise he needed so we figured we would give a dog walker a go! Bethany should up everyday to our house on time and Booker was always excited to see her! Each walk came with a picture and report which was great! Would definitely use Bethany again!

About: I’m a huge animal lover and truly enjoy caring for pets of all personalities and needs. I’m very dependable and trustworthy, and I treat every animal with the same love and care I would give my own. I also make sure pets stay on their normal routines and always keep owners updated so they know their pet is happy and safe. This and Uber Eats are my full time jobs. I will only be gone for a couple hours in the evening for Uber Eats some days and Sunday early afternoons I have church but other than that I’m available. I am very attentive to pet’s needs and listen closely to the owner’s instructions. No matter how big or small your animal is, dog or cat, I have unlimited patience and care.

About: I've been dog sitting for friends and family for over 7 years. I love dogs and love going on walks with them! I have experience with nervous dogs and higher energy dogs, I've dog-sat rescues, 1-year-olds with their bouncing off the walls, and seniors. I help my mom with in-home child care during the week from Monday to Thursday but I have free time outside of that. I usually can start the day by 7am but will start moving earlier if the dog needs it! I have a smaller fenced backyard with some dog neighbors. We have some guinea pigs in our home but they're upstairs in an elevated cage with a gate at the bottom of the stairs. The neighborhood has a variety of routes I can go on of different lengths to fit your dog's needs.

I will respect the client's home and make sure the dog gets specialized care, from feeding and walks to playtime and snuggles. We’ve had an amazing experience with our dog walker! She is incredibly communicative, reliable, and truly goes the extra mile every time. Han and Chewie absolutely adore her, which gives me so much peace of mind when I’m away. She always sends lots of updates and pictures, which I really appreciate—it makes such a difference being able to see how happy and well cared for they are. While I was away, one of my dogs wasn’t feeling well, and she took extra care and attention to make sure he was comfortable and looked after. That level of thoughtfulness meant so much to me. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring. We will definitely continue to use her!

My pup came back happy and sufficiently tuckered out. :) Elizabeth gave lots of details about how the walk went and did great with dog handling. I’ll definitely call on her again!

About: I've had cats and dogs growing up my whole life. I was the primary caregiver, trainer and best friend. I also took care of many of the neighbors cats and dogs while they were away. And their farm animals as well. Also have experience from the Army training tracking and guard dogs. I am a retired latter carrier and a disabled Army Veteran. I have all the time in the world to devote to caring for your pets when needed. Particularly with dogs during the day. Walking is great for your dog and gets me the exercise that I need. It's a win-win. And it's a plus that I get the hang around with dogs. , i currently do not have dogs or cats of my own. I do live in an apartment but I'm close to many parks and trails. I'm available for a client's home sitting as well and will always abide by the wishes of the client for their pets.

Wendi went ABOVE and BEYOND for my Quinn. She met with me before the date so that Quinn could meet her and while Quinn is normally a one woman pup (me) she went to Wendi immediately and began bringing Wendi her toys to share. That has literally never happened before. Wendi also was flexible when my times needed to be adjusted. She communicated with me about how the drop ins and walks went and sent pictures. She also wrote a lovely note and created a water color of my Quinn. (not AI, she actually painted it) I highly recommend Wendi! I know my daughter plans to use her when she needs a dog walker/sitter next.

Haley has been a perfect fit for our 12 year old lab. Haley made sure she got her exercise but also allowed her to walk and smell at her pace. Haley is now our go to dog walker and we would highly recommend her. We could not be happier.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
