“We love Kate, and are so grateful for her attentiveness and care! It is such a relief to know that our dog is in good hands on the days we have to be away at work. Having someone trustworthy and dependable (not to mention kind and knowledgeable!) is something of a rarity these days. We highly recommend Kate!”

“Morgan is absolutely wonderful! Seriously can’t say enough good things about her and the care she provides. I felt she was very professional from our first meeting to navigating random obstacles that came up through the times she has been walking my dogs. She communicates well, follows instructions, is comfortable with different training modalities, and most importantly fostered a connection that you could feel through the photos and updates she provided. I was never unsure if my dogs were safe and cared for in Morgan’s care. Would recommend her over and over again!”

“Joy is amazing! Our dog loves going on walks with her in the afternoon. Her communication is excellent, she is flexible, and she always sends great photos. We are thankful for her help!”

About: I have loved animals my whole life and have experience caring for a variety of pets including dogs, chickens, guinea pigs, and fish. Recently, I have been volunteering at the PIMA animal shelter, taking dogs out for the day! I’ve been pet sitting for friends, family, and neighbors since middle school, which has given me lots of hands-on experience with different pet personalities and needs. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I make sure every pet gets plenty of attention, playtime, and care so they feel happy and relaxed. I also have a very cute dog of my own named Larry, so I know firsthand how much pets mean to their families! I’m currently a student at the University of Arizona majoring in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Business. Being responsible, attentive, and caring are very important to me, and I bring those qualities into every pet sitting job. Because I attend school in Tucson, I’m unfortunately not able to pet sit on a weekly basis. However, I frequently come home during school breaks and holidays, and I would love to spend that time helping care for your pets! During my time at home, I’m available and happy to provide attentive, reliable care. Spending time with animals is something I truly enjoy, and pet sitting is a great way for me to do something I love while I’m back in town. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make sure to follow all routines and instructions closely so your pet feels secure and stays on their normal schedule. This includes feeding, walks, playtime, and giving them plenty of attention and affection. I always treat my clients’ homes with respect and keep a clean, safe environment for pets. I’m attentive to details like keeping doors and gates secure, making sure pets are supervised, and ensuring they are happy and comfortable while you’re away. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and needs, so I always try to provide patient, loving care so they feel relaxed and well cared for.

“Sahara is fantastic! She communicated with us by sending updates, pictures, and details about Nopalita's walk. It gives us such a peace of mind knowing that our pup is in good hands. Sahra is friendly and professional, and I would highly recommend her to others!”

About: Since the age of 10, I have taken care of birds, dogs, cats, a turtle, some frogs, and horses. I worked as an assistant stable manager at the LA Equestrian Center, I spent a summer volunteering at the National Aviary, and I have also done training on my own pets, (parakeets and puppies). I love taking care of animals and discovering their individual quirks and personalities. It is important to me that they feel comforted by me, and that people can count on me to take good care of their pets. I am a freelance work-from-home artist, and I am available during the day on weekdays, and also on occasional weekends to take care of your pets. I respect every client's specific preferences and their pet's needs, and will treat their home with the utmost respect. I am a clean and organized person, and strive to keep my client's homes as clean and organized as possible.
“Olivander is amazing at what he does! He's so patient and kind with our older boy Shadow and is always flexible with us on scheduling. He's an awesome Rover and we're happy we've been able to book with him. Highly recommend!”

About: I grew up in the country with many dogs in the family. My parents bred and showed champion Afghan Hounds as well as boarded other breeds of dogs. I have raised and cared for many amazing dogs, cats, horses, goats, rabbits, salamanders and a gold fish named Charlie. My absolute love for all animals and my special bond with my 18 year old rescue, Fez, lead me to managing a local doggy daycare and boarding facility. I learned so much about all kinds of breeds and mixes, puppies and seniors, managing medications, nutrition, play time, and their beautiful personalities. What a wonderful experience that was! My deep love for dogs, hiking, the outdoors and the Oregon weather makes dog walking a true pleasure for me. I can take dogs to Forest Park or just around the neighborhood sidewalks and trails. I have a very flexible schedule and I am happy to take walks, pop in for a visit or look after in your home while you are away. I'm looking forward to meeting you and your best friend and taking great care of them. I have a very flexible schedule and can work around your routine. I love getting out there in the mornings but I am also happily available for walks in the afternoons and evenings until 7:00pm. Safety is the number one priority period. I have a very calming demeanor and can sense what my pet partner is feeling in their environment. My eyes and ears will be focused on your pet and our safety at all times inside or outside, staying 5 steps ahead with their care.
About: I've owned, loved and cared for dogs (and cats) for most of my life, from dachshunds to labs. I'm very active and get a lot of joy out of walking dogs on or off leash. I'm happy walking dogs or running with them - whatever you prefer. I'm very reliable for drop-ins to give your dogs whatever they need - food, water, exercise, and attention - while you’re away. I'm recently retired which gives me a great deal of schedule flexibility. I don't mind getting up early for walks as I'm a morning person. I like a days notice for scheduling walks - that's about it! I've literally walked and thrown balls for various dogs I've owned hundreds if not thousands of times. I've always taken good care of them as I love dogs, and I'll treat yours like I treated mine.

About: Howdy! My entire life I’ve had cats (call me a cat lady) and I am also no stranger to dogs. I had two dogs growing up, and also had a husky until about a year and a half ago! Back home my cats are now older, and from a young age I learned to care for kittens and now senior cats. Last year I adopted a senior kitty with some health issues, so I’m well versed in cleaning up after accidental messes, giving meds and supplements, and lots of cuddles and care! I also recently took care of a sweet dog with a leg injury and can change bandages and clean wounds :) I work full time but have flexible hours so I can do drop-ins, walks, play time, or full pet sitting while you’re away. I love spending time with furry friends and get some belly rubs or purrs and head butts, so rest assured that your pets will be in good hands! I’m new to Rover, so my previous experience has been with particular bookings. I’m happy to discuss more about my experience to make you feel the most comfortable you can! Lastly, I'm bilingual in English and Spanish, so I can easily accommodate to the language of your preference. Nota: soy bilingüe, así que si necesitas servicios en español no dudes en pedirme y con gusto nos comunicamos en el idioma que prefieras!! I work full-time but I have a flexible schedule and sometimes can also work from home. Depending on the time of year, I might have to work longer days than others. Extremely long days are very rare though, and usually I have time during the day to take off for a drop in visit or other responsibilities. I have a car so I can easily commute from work and home to your place for a check-in, play time, or a walk! The most important thing for me, besides a good introduction with your pet, is to follow your routine. If your cat is most comfortable with a specific blanket folded over their bed, then I will fold the blanket over the bed. If your dog feels safe walking over route A but not route B, then we will walk through route A. Providing sitting services at your home should make your pet as comfortable as they feel with you, so having instructions (especially with sick, senior, or special needs pets) is very important for me so I can make sure I’m creating a safe and stress-free space for them, you, and myself. I’ll play with any toys and enrichment available, lounge with them, cuddle and give pets, talk to them (talkative cats are the beeeest). I’m also very respectful of your house rules and will follow any instructions you give me. Your space and your privacy are a priority of mine and I want you to feel comfortable with me in your home. I’m happy to do phone check ins and updates while you’re away too!

About: I’m a huge advocate for animal rights and I recently fostered two sweet and loving kitties. I love spending time and socializing with dogs and cats, and I want to do something with animal conservation in the future! I’m a full time student but am looking to dog sit, dog walk, and cat sit. I’m pretty available on weekends and the weekdays as well. I’m happy to be flexible and find something that works for both of us. I make sure there’s nothing they can get into that would harm them, and I ensure I play with them and give them lots of love and attention.
About: Hi! I'm a lifelong animal lover who has been caring for pets for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a large family, I helped care for countless dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I've also spent plenty of time around cats and understand that every pet has unique needs and routines. I currently have a bunny of my own, which has given me even more experience with providing attentive, compassionate care and understanding how important pets are as members of the family. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else's care, and I don't take that responsibility lightly. Whether it's walks, playtime, feeding, cuddles, or simply keeping your pet company, I'll treat them with the same love, patience, and attention that I would give my own. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable, happy, and cared for while you're apart. I am currently not working and studying for my real estate license this summer, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. My availability is wide open most days, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Because I spend much of my time studying from home, I can provide reliable attention, frequent check-ins, and flexible scheduling to accommodate your pet's needs. Whether you need regular visits, last-minute care, or extra attention for your furry family member, I'm happy to help! I treat my pets as members of my family and make sure their physical and emotional needs are always met. I provide a consistent routine with proper feeding, fresh water, exercise, enrichment, and plenty of affection. I pay close attention to their behavior and well-being so I can quickly notice if something seems off. As a bunny owner, I understand the importance of patience, gentle handling, and creating a safe, comfortable environment. I also know that every animal has a unique personality and preferences, so I take the time to learn what makes them feel happiest and most comfortable. Whether it's playtime, cuddles, exercise, or simply companionship, I believe pets thrive when they feel loved, secure, and cared for.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all ages- I’ve raised a puppy as well as taken care of my childhood dog into old age (he passed at 17). I’ve done lots of pet sitting and house sitting, whether it be drop-ins or overnight stays. I’ve yet to meet a dog who I don’t love! I work part-time in my family’s business and have a very flexible schedule. I’m a college student home for summer break, so I have loads of free time! Whatever your needs are, I can make it work! If your dog has a more specific routine, that’s great. If it’s more relaxed, that’s also great! I am very adaptable. I do well with reading body language of dogs (my pup is a little feisty)! I am able to walk long distances, play active games, and more.
About: While I am new to professional pet sitting, I am a quick learner and have always had a genuine love for them. I am flexible and committed to giving your pet the most wonderful care :) Im currently working part time, but get my schedule 3 weeks in advance, so I know my days off and times. I usually work early mornings or evenings, so I get one or the other open! I understand pets have schedules and routines which I like to prioritize to make them feel the most safe and comfortable in their space. I willing provide lots of attention and playtime, but also notice when a pet has their own boundaries too
About: I’ve had pets throughout my life, and all our friends do too. Although we don’t have any right now, I understand the kind of care and responsibility that comes with providing exceptional pet care. I’m a home health nurse who works remotely full-time from home. I have ample time during the day for potty breaks and walks whenever necessary. I thoroughly enjoy stepping outside for some much-needed fresh air. We don’t have a fenced backyard, but we do have a decent-sized yard in the back and front. We live in a lovely neighborhood with a big park within a five-minute walking distance, offering plenty of opportunities for pleasant strolls. While on walks, we prefer to keep our dogs on leashes for safety reasons. We have two girls, one aged 6 years old and the other is 15 years old. Our kids are very good with animals and have been around them their entire lives. Our youngest daughter is particularly good with dogs. She’s very gentle and old enough to understand the dogs’ boundaries based on their signs. She’s also a great companion if your dog needs exercise; she can play all day! We’re excited about the prospect of providing a loving, safe, and caring home for your dog while you’re away.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Oak Hills
Anna has been so amazing with our recently rescued 100+ lb mutt Rosie. I have peace of mind knowing that Rosie is well cared for. Anna has been very open and accommodating of all of Rosie’s needs, and is a great communicator. We are so thankful to have found her!

Ashley treated Moo and Al as if they were her own. It was very hot yesterday, and she thoughtfully asked if I had shoes for them. When I said no, she made sure to walk them on the grass and in the shade. I truly appreciated her care and attention, and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

we recently adopted our dog, Sunny, a GSD mix. since Erika has looked after my kitties in the past, i reached out to her to check on Sunny a couple of times last week, because i had a week jam packed with several lengthy final exams. Erika stopped by the day before the first walk to meet & greet with Sunny, and Sunny was completely disarmed within 30 mins. by the end of the visit, she was napping with her head in Erika’s lap. even though Sunny was scheduled for walks (and despite her positive behavior during their initial meet-up), Sunny had her own agenda and wasn’t agreeable to going on walks when the time came. she was anxious about a newer person without me around, and this made her more stubborn and standoffish. Erika adapted and still spent some time with Sunny. she recognized her boundaries and had more of a drop-in visit instead. this still gave Sunny a break from her crate to go potty and do whatever she needed to do. i’m planning to schedule some time soon for us to walk together to help Sunny build more trust with Erika.

Jennifer is incredible. An actual professional. She always walks my dog a few minutes longer than scheduled when in the past I’ve had walkers not reach the allotted time frame. She contacted me days in advance to find out what precautions she can take to keep my dog hydrated in safe in the extreme heat and made sure to find a shaded walking path for her. My dog LOVES her!! And so do I!

Corey has provided amazing services for my dog, Remington. I can always count on her as she is always reliable. She always has great communication skills and always updates me about Remington as needed. She’s definitely compassionate towards animals and I would recommend her for anyone needing services in the future. Also if you book with her she will send you super cute pictures of your animals on their walk!

Emily is so great with our pup! She’s very communicative, sends lots of great pics of our dog, and is always flexible with any updated instructions we leave. She did a great job with our dog after she had surgery, helping with medication and her recovery suit. Definitely recommend!

Morgan is absolutely wonderful! Would recommend her over and over again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
