About: I've owned, loved and cared for dogs (and cats) for most of my life, from dachshunds to labs. I'm very active and get a lot of joy out of walking dogs on or off leash. I'm happy walking dogs or running with them - whatever you prefer. I'm very reliable for drop-ins to give your dogs whatever they need - food, water, exercise, and attention - while you’re away. I'm recently retired which gives me a great deal of schedule flexibility. I don't mind getting up early for walks as I'm a morning person. I like a days notice for scheduling walks - that's about it! I've literally walked and thrown balls for various dogs I've owned hundreds if not thousands of times. I've always taken good care of them as I love dogs, and I'll treat yours like I treated mine.

About: I love animals of all kinds! I grew up in a home that always had dogs and cats. My parents taught me how to be a responsible pet owner very early in life. We currently have two dogs and one cat, bunny, hamster, lots of fish and are all very well taken care of. My daughter and I love playing with animals and walking dogs of all breeds/ages. We have a home that has access to a fenced yard where they can get out for fresh air. My pets are treated as my children and so is any pet I care for. Opening up my schedule to love on some more family pets like my own! Our home or yours you can trust your babies will be in good hands! I love having dog company! My two dogs love having new friends over as well! I do work graveyard 3-4 nights a week. My daughter is always home and I'm home every couple hours so I am available to accept any day and times. We're very flexible on that. I have a small fenced yard so they can get out for fresh air or a potty. We walk morning and evening. More if needed. Lots of pets and cuddles!
About: I love dogs. Growing up, I've cared for several family dogs, including a shih-poo named Kirby, a german shepherd/lab/husky mix named Beauty, and two miniature golden doodles named Amber and Rusty. I volunteered weekly as a 'Canine Companion' at the Humane Society for three and a half years, walking, training and cleaning up after dogs, and providing feedback to help them find homes. I had a few hours of formal dog training at the Humane Society. My wife used to work as a vet tech, so she's also a great source of knowledge for animal care that I draw from. I drive from Hillsboro to Portland to drop my wife off at College at 10am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; I pick her up at 6pm. I can attend to clients in both locations and Beaverton since I drive this route often. I have a cat in a two bedroom apartment. There's a lot of other dogs and leashless dog parks in the area, which is ideal if your dog is friendly with other animals. I'm used to caring for my friend's cats in his home, bringing in his mail and tending his garden. I bring a calm, quiet presence that keeps the cats relaxed.

Cypress was an incredible sitter for our dog Rocky! Check ins were varied and detailed with plenty of pictures. In addition, they were very prompt to respond to messages both before and during the booking. Our pup can be a little temperamental and finicky during walks, and Cypress handled it beautifully! They have a special touch with animals as our cats came out for extra attention during check ins as well. Without any promoting, they also checked on the cats food and water, going above and beyond. I am looking forward to having them as our trusted dog sitter again in the future. ❤️
Jamie was absolutely wonderful with our two cats! She was incredibly attentive to their individual needs and truly went above and beyond to make sure they were happy, comfortable, and well cared for while we were away. She was extremely communicative, kind, and thoughtful throughout our trip, and we really appreciated that she came over for a meet-and-greet beforehand to go over all of their care needs and logistics. We felt completely at ease knowing our cats were in such caring and capable hands, and we would happily recommend Jamie to anyone looking for a fantastic pet sitter!
Vivian did a wonderful job with the cats and we very much loved all the pictures! Some were funny and some were sweet! It was very clear the cats liked Vivian and played and got some love. As any pet parent would agree, that’s what you want most of all - for your loved pets to be treated with care so you can enjoy yourself while away from home.
Haley really saved the day with my last minute request! She did an awesome job with my 2 pups. She came on time, stayed the entire time requested, was flexible when timing modifications were necessary and followed all my instructions. She was kind & thoughtful with the pups, She also gave me frequent updates and lots of photos every day! So grateful! Would definitely recommend her. And will call her again next time.

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
