“Mary Anne went above and beyond checking in on my very shy cat. She gave very informative updates and was overall great with communication. Would absolutely recommend her!!”

“Amazing cat sitter! Had to book with her again as she did such a good job taking care of my two cats. Loved her timely drop-ins and pictures/updates I got while I was away. Highly recommend!”
“Tom and Allison do a great job. My cats love them and even the shy one will let them rub his belly. They always update me and send pictures, let me know if one of them barfed, etc. Super easy to work with and very prompt. Highly recommend. I feel like my pets are safe with them.”

“Allison did a fantastic job! She is communicative, responsible and very creative. It was fun to get her updates to hear how she kept our kittys entertained while we were out of the house. It's clear she has a love for animals 😻”

“Olivia was a fantastic and very appreciated resource to watch my cat Otto during a recent multi-day drop in visit that was needed. She provided lots of attention and love to Otto giving everything I wished for him while I was gone including lots of playtime, feeding supplements, sharing pictures and all the cuddles. I hope to absolutely use her again for the next time I will be out of town and need someone to drop-in.”

“Alina was so great! At the last minute my husband and I realized that we wouldn’t have cell service while we were camping when Alina would be taking care of our cats. Since this was the first time Alina was sitting for us AND it was in our new home where we weren’t completely sure how easy it would be for a new person to navigate it (or how the cats would do with us gone for the first time), we were worried about not being available for Alina to contact and update us. We asked if she could communicate with my mom instead since we have a satellite communicator with my mom and she could relay messages to us. Despite all those complications (including our cat Romeo needing oral medication twice a day), everything went really well. Alina handled the last minute changes easily, communicated thoroughly with my mom, helped us feel at ease and when we came home our cats seemed relaxed and happy. We’re grateful for Alina’s care!”

“She was amazing! We have notoriously skittish cats who don’t like strangers, but they all loved Elizabeth. We will absolutely be hiring again for our next short trip!”

About: I have had a dog for 7 years, he’s a big 75 pound pitbull and was a rescue from Texas. He was around 1 when we got him and he was crazy. Within a month he was well trained. I’m also great with young puppies, and have lots of experience spending time with and playing with them. I’m a college football player, so there’s not gonna be any dogs that are gonna be too big for me to handle. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and am always able to adjust my behavior and attitude depending on the size and energy level of dog. I am usually available from 9am - 8pm every day except Sundays. I always schedule at least a day in advance so that I can schedule my day around appointments, and I’m always 5-10 minutes early to everything I always make sure my dog is fed, gets walked and enough exercise and enrichment including playing in the yard and tug of war in the house

About: I have taken care of animals since the age of 15. Friends and family have relied on me to care for their pets when out of town which include feeding, playing, going for walks and administering medication if necessary Pet sitting is currently my full time job! My daily schedule is flexible, allowing me to prioritize pet care. I'll ensure your pets feel important and are well taken care of, providing them with the attention and love they need throughout the day. I have completed puppy training classes through The Training Spot in Eugene Oregon and love learning new tricks with dogs who are interested.
“Joy was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond to make sure my cat, Zero, was well cared for and happy while I was away. She sent thoughtful, detailed updates with plenty of pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind. She also took the extra step to help out around the house - sweeping, fixing our cat cam, and bringing in packages - which I truly appreciated. It was such a great feeling to come home to a happy cat and a clean space. I can’t recommend Joy highly enough!”

About: After losing my own dog recently, I want to share my leftover love with yours. I can confidently care for dogs ages 1 to 12, from energetic younger ones to sweet seniors. Having owned, managed and loved a reactive dog, I am skilled at advocating for space and handling walk triggers safely. In terms of activity, I walk around 15,000 steps daily, so your pup is guaranteed plenty of safe exercise and attention :) Fully available weekdays, with slight limitations on the weekends. Having no kids or pets at the moment ensures your pup will have my full attention! Without a fenced yard, I utilize nearby beautiful trails and parks for plenty of walks. We also have a crate available if your pup ever requires one!
“Candice was so incredible, I am so glad I booked her for kitty care visits while I had to be away for work for week! She had such a great connection with him and I felt so reassured by all of her great updates. She is very caring and compassionate and thanks to her I worried much less while I was out of town.”

I currently live with my own cat who loves to cuddle and play with string toys! I work full-time from 8am-4pm Monday-Friday. I am available to stop by after work for walks, check ins, or housesitting. My weekends are more open to morning/afternoon visits and walks! “Maria has been a joy to work with and we are so happy we’ve found her. She is always on time, very kind and friendly, and goes above and beyond for us. Our two pups love her and can’t wait to see her when she comes. Maria will run around and play with them in the yard, or let them chase the water to get their energy out. She helps tidy up the area our pups are staying in and she even helps train our girls. She gives us pace and mind when we’re not home and we can’t thank her enough for everything that she does. Maria is our go to for all dog care moving forward. You’d be lucky to have her.”

About: I grew up with dogs since early childhood! My mom taught me everything about loving and raising them. Later, I bonded with my cousin’s cats, and that’s when I started loving cats. My husband and I also had a cat who’s now in heaven. While we aren’t ready for a new pet right now, we still adore animals. That’s why I became a sitter—to share my love and care with your pets while you’re away! I have a full-time job, so early mornings and afternoons after 5 p.m. work best for me. I’m also available on weekends. Boarding is not available right now, as I’m currently hosting a friend’s cat. Safety and trust are my top priorities. I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, daily routines, and any special needs your pet may have. I also send regular updates and photos, so you always know how your pet is doing!
“Maya’s first ever Rover experience with Lisha has been amazing! Lisha goes above and beyond to make sure she is comfortable, well cared for, and happy :) Lisha takes lots of photos and videos, checks in, and is overall a great communicator. We look forward to more weekends with her services.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Beaverton
This was the best possible first experience with Rover! Elizabeth and her kiddos were amazing. They loved on my fur babies, sent photos and updates. My pets were in absolute heaven the entire time. I came home to happy animals and my home exactly as it was. Which is a blessing! I absolutely would hire her every time!

Ashley is amazing! We just moved to this area and we were looking for someone to take care of our cat when we travel, we found Ashley on Rover. Our cat is aloof and shy, reading Ashley’s Rover profile and positive reviews online made me think she’s a good fit to our cat and I was right. We had few sitters in the past but our cat never warmed up to anyone, with Ashley he became comfortable immediately and in the end of the 13-day service the two of them became buddies - what a feat! She showered our cat with lots of patience and love. The daily updates and tons of pictures Ashley sent to us when we were traveling showed how comfortable our cat is with her, that gave us peace of mind and enjoyed our trip more.

Kelsey did an amazing job with my dog! I was out of town for 5 days and needed a sitter to come let my dog Belle out a couple times each day. Kelsey stayed in great communication throughout the whole time and Belle LOVED her! Kelsey did everything that was needed plus she even tidied up each visit! I will definitely be using Kelsey again the next time I need a sitter!

Adriana once again exceeded our expectations with the care of our beloved old boy Cheese. She was very attentive and very communicative the entire week we were away. Not once did we feel as if we were not able to reach out; Adriana was always on top of her messages and was always a text or phone call away. Our Cheesy boy was very happy and it almost seems like he didn’t even miss us with how much attention Adriana gave him!! Will ALWAYS book with Adriana moving forward.

Candice does a wonderful job caring for my cats. I always know my boys are in good hands with her and can rest easy that she will care for them like her own. Even after a long 2 week trip I came home to a clean home and happy cats. Thank you Candice for your attention to detail and kindness!

Louise has been absolutely exceptional with Amani. She is caring, reliable, patient, and truly goes above and beyond. Amani is always happy, playful, and comfortable around her, which gives me a lot of peace of mind. I really appreciate the attention, care, and energy she puts into every visit. It’s clear she genuinely loves animals and treats Amani like her own. I highly recommend Louise to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and amazing to care for their pet.

- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
