Safety, trust & environment
+ I look forward to caring for your dog in your home and neighborhood. Safety is always my first priority so dogs will always be safely on-leash outside of your home, and fully supervised if in a fenced yard. Please note, I do not take dogs off-leash anywhere but in their fenced yards, or in cars off premise. + To adhere to the standards of practice as a positive reinforcement trainer, I do not use prong collars, e-collars, choke chains, or similar tools. If your dog pulls or is reactive on-leash, not to worry! I incorporate force-free, loose-leash training techniques into all walks to insure dogs have a safe, pain-free, positive experience - while learning valuable skills at the same time! I am more than happy to use any of the following: harness, flat (regular) collar, head collar, or martingale collar. All dogs will be walked on a flat (non-retractable) leash for safety.
Information Dani L. would like to know about your pet
+ I love all breeds, and have a huge soft spot for the more misunderstood ones, so every breed and mix is more than welcome! + Please share any allergies, fears, or anxiety triggers your dog may have, as well as any training your dog has received, favorite reinforcers, and their preferred routine. The more information I have, the better I can provide them with the best care possible! * * * Thank you so much for taking the time to look over this information! It's all to insure you, your dog and I have a safe and optimized experience together. Again, let me know if you have any questions, and I look forward to hearing from you soon!
A typical day
Standard drop-in bookings may include a short training walk, potty breaks, feeding/watering, opportunities for play, training games, and other care needs. House sitting can be all of those things, but more quality time! Most importantly, I meet your dog wherever they're at and provide highly attuned care to accommodate their exact needs!

Pet care experience
* Please note, I am currently only available for daytime house sitting and drop-in clients. Thank you for understanding! * Hi there! I have been a certified positive reinforcement dog trainer (KPA CTP) since 2016, as a graduate of the prestigious Karen Pryor Academy's Dog Trainer Professional program. I'm a skilled, responsible canine trainer and caretaker with over 12 years of experience working with dogs of every size, breed, and temperament. I provide positive reinforcement training-based in-home daytime house sitting, and drop-in visits (for exercise, training, feeding, etc.). I don't use aversive methods - meaning punishment, force, or pain-causing tools. All dogs will be cared for with lots of patience, love, and compassion! I look forward to hearing from you, and serving you and your furry best friend! /// DROP-IN VISITS + Drop-in visits can include a short walk, meals, giving medication if required, and of course play and cuddles. They are tailored to you and your dog(s) needs! /// Daytime In-Home House Sitting + I love caring for your animals in their own homes! I do not currently provide overnight care, but I provide daytime house-sitting for dogs and cats, for up to 6 hours total typically between 8am to 8pm. I can work with you to customize a schedule that suits you and your pups best. Message me to work out details! Typical in-home care includes regular feeding, appropriate potty breaks, playtime and training games, love and attention, one standard 30-minute walk if needed, and upkeep of basic training. If your dog(s) or cat(s) have other needs, we can talk about the best ways to customize my time with them!

Reviews

I don't want to leave a review for Dani because I'm afraid other people will steal her away but she is an absolute GEM. She is compassionate and really spends quality time with our pups and has gotten to know them. She sends us multiple updates and always asks questions to follow up and make sure no detail is forgotten. I wish we could have her every day!
My pup adores Dani! Me too- she communicates well, is reliable and has a warm presence.

Dani is amazing with our dog Bart! Our boy can take some time to warm up to new people and has some leash reactivity, so finding Dani has been so reassuring and she is so good with him! She is also thorough in her care, very responsive and she takes adorable pictures of Bart for us!

Dani was great! She was very responsive and timely. She was great a providing photos and staying in contact. Highly recommend!
