“Anupama was great with Oscar and I felt confident leaving him with her. Communication was very good and we got lots of photos. She gave frequent walks and has a great environment for dogs. Oscar had a great time and would love to stay again!”

“Vanessa was amazing! This was the first time for our two large dogs, age 7 and 1 to stay away from our home. She was awesome. From the very beginning, by letting us do a site visit before the stay and talking about the care. She sent pics of the boys as they stayed. We are so thankful for the TLC the dogs received under her care. Thanks Vanessa!”

“Shari was great! She sent photos of my puppies daily and cared for them like her own. She is an excellent communicator and seemed well-tuned to my dogs' needs during their stay. I will use her again. Thank you, Shari, for taking such good care of my pups!”

“Katie was fantastic. This was a great first time user experience. During the meet and greet, Katie's easygoing attitude made me comfortable with leaving my fairly new adopted dog in her care. The fact that she showed a clear understanding of hound dog behavior was the icing on the cake. She was very flexible with my schedule change on drop off and pickup. She went above and beyond by letting me pick my doggo up at a really late hour of the day. Her quick pics and updates on Chloe during her stay was just right. Chloe was very happy with her experience and we will definitely use Katie in the future! Thank you for taking care of Chloe!”

“Emma was absolutely amazing with our dog, Lucy Lou! She was very responsive throughout the whole process, from planning to keeping us updated on Lucy’s stay. She sent us pictures of all of Lucy’s adventures! I know Lucy absolutely enjoyed her stay, from all of the walks to all the cuddles and pets.”

“Irene and her family are fantastic dog sitters! They took such good care of our 2 year old lab/retriever mix Layla. Irene truly makes each dog a member of her family while they are in her care. We will definitely be booking with Irene in the future (I just hope she is available)!”
“Paula is a dog person thru and thru and I loved knowing my Lily pug was safe in her care. Will use Paula again :) Thank you again for taking such good care of our lily pug!”

“It was our first time boarding our dogs, one of which has separation anxiety. Mersal was amazing— very involved with the pups, taking them on walks and playing fetch. We received frequent updates/photos, allowing us to feel at ease throughout their stay. She will definitely be our go-to sitter in the future!”

“Super loving family for our dood. He’s a people person, Michelle & Daniel were his people. Got in walks, lots of attention & great backyard space to hang outside. He settled right in.”

“Jill provided great care for my senior dog, Sahara, who is pretty shy and nervous with strangers and in new environments. Sahara got along great with her yellow lab, Cooper and Cash the cat. I wouldn’t hesitate to leave Sahara with her again.”

“Melani was great taking care of CalCal my goldendoodle. We met up beforehand to make sure my dog would get along with her dog. She sent many photos during the boarding. Would use her again; thanks Melani!”

“Our pup loves coming here and is treated like family. She gets lots of extra attention and loves playing with the lab. Excellent place to board a dog.”

“We had to leave town suddenly due to a family emergency and our original dog sitter dropped out on us literally AS we were dropping Juno off. Karlee came through for us at the absolute last minute and made it possible for us to still catch our flight the next morning. She sent us lots of picture and video updates and seeing our dog happily playing with hers felt like medicine amidst all the stress. It was such a comfort to know Juno was being well loved while we were gone. Thank you Karlee!”

“We were nervous leaving our lil guy, Axl, overnight w strangers. Micheal and Pritpal opened their home to Axl and provided him so much love. They played fetch w Axl at 4am! Axl can play fetch all day and they spoiled our lil guy. He came home n was pooped from playing so much and slept all day upon coming home. Their love for small dogs really shows. We will definately use them again and again! Thank you!”

“Lajetta took such great care of our pup noodles while our family went on vacation. She treats our pup not just like a dog but like a little human! She provided a luxurious room for our pup with plenty of toys and walks. I loved seeing all the pictures she sent us everyday and always responded promptly to any messages I sent. Noodles got to socialize with other small dogs her size which was wonderful. Gotta to admit a little jealous how much my puppy loves her in such a short time.”

“Sandy seems like the ultimate dog whisperer. I'm not sure how good, bad or indifferent my dog was while in her care but I know she came back all in one bubbly piece (her usual self). THANK YOU SANDY for your patient care.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Beaverton
Nana was so kind and attentive. She sent me lots of pictures and updates and made me feel totally comfortable leaving my fur baby with her. Her two senior dogs were friendly and kept my dog company while I was gone. Her front yard and backyard are fully fenced in so he had plenty of room to roam around. 10/10 would recommend.

Takae and her partner provided exactly what the humans needed as well as what our Luna needed during her first boarding experience. Takae is a great communicator, and understood how helpful unprompted updates would be for the humans to enjoy their time away without much worry. The best part, Luna seemed to settle right in and Takae and her partner shared that her being there helped them too - to slow down and relax. 😎

We left Maple with Katherine for almost a week while we were visiting in the area for our daughter’s graduation. We live in Canada so had no opportunity to meet or visit beforehand so I was a little nervous. Not only did Maple love it there but Katherine made sure that Maple was tired when I picked her up (we had 15 hours of driving ahead of us) and sent photos and updates during the week. I will use her again anytime we are in the area - just wish we lived closer as it was obvious she had an amazing time!!

Stephanie is such a great sitter. She regularly provided us with photos of Serena and when I picked up Serena, she didn't want to leave Stephanie's home and kept pulling me to let her go back into the house. This indicated to me that she really loved being with Stephanie and her home. I will definitely book Stephanie again next time we need a sitter.

Im so happy that we found Michelle! We had never used Rover before (and were a bit nervous to try it) and found ourselves needing last minute boarding for our dog. Michelle saved the day and from the start I knew that our dog was going to be in good hands. Our dog quickly took to Michelle and from the pictures we received we know that he was so happy with them. She also handled his medications and medical needs with such ease. We would recommend Michelle to anyone with pet needs and will definitely use them again!

I highly recommend Hiroe as an exceptional pet sitter! She took wonderful care of my 1‑year‑old mini poodle, Teddy, while I was out of the country for three weeks. Hiroe went above and beyond by sending me photos and videos every day, which gave me great peace of mind. It was clear that Teddy was having a fantastic time—he loved playing in her backyard with her two dogs and always looked happy and well cared for. In fact, he was happily tired from all the fun and exercise he was getting! Hiroe is caring, attentive, and truly loves animals. I felt completely at ease knowing Teddy was in such good hands. I would absolutely trust her again and strongly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and loving pet sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
