“Great communication throughout the stay! We appreciated the pictures and videos through the day to give us the confidence our dogs were receiving the best care. We can’t wait to book with Mersal again! In fact, our dog Laika has been missing her new friends since she’s back home!”

“Anupama was great with Oscar and I felt confident leaving him with her. Communication was very good and we got lots of photos. She gave frequent walks and has a great environment for dogs. Oscar had a great time and would love to stay again!”

“Peter and his family were the perfect fit for our puppy! Peter was able to accommodate us at the very last minute and even cared for our puppy while he was experiencing some digestive troubles. We got daily photos of our pup having fun and being treated like part of the family. We would 100% book with Peter again!”

“Laura watched my little 8 month Pomeranian girl puppy and everything went well. We had a meet and great a couple weeks ahead so she could meet my little pup and meet her two dogs as well they all got along fine and during her time there Tova, my pup had so much fun and I could tell she took real good care of her, sent me a few pics most of time I was not on WiFi. I would have her watch my little girl again.”

“Aliina is fantastic! She is flexible and very easy to work with. She responds quickly and our dogs had an amazing time! Would absolutely recommend her to anyone. Love knowing our dogs were loved and cared for!”

“Kristen took good care of my pup overnight. They were easy to work with and very flexible. I waited too to find a sitter but they worked with me and were very kind. Thank you Kristen!”

“Lajetta was an amazing sitter for our doggy. She is super kind and loving. She made sure to keep us updated and sent lots of photos! I would definitely use her services again!”

“We feel incredibly lucky to have found Shari on Rover. This was our first time vacationing and leaving our special-needs dog, who has separation anxiety, and it was not an easy decision. From the very beginning, Shari made us feel completely at ease. She truly loved him and treated him as if he were her own. Knowing he was in such caring, capable hands gave us the confidence to fully enjoy our time away. Shari sent frequent updates and photos, which meant so much to us and really helped when we missed him. I couldn’t recommend Shari more highly. She is kind, attentive, and truly exceptional. We are so grateful for the care she provided and would absolutely trust her again.”

“Dottie provided excellent care for Sahara on her second stay. She administered an appetite stimulant I gave her and figured out the types of food that my little finicky eater would go for. She texted several pictures while I was away and Sahara was obviously content and comfortable. I’m very satisfied with Dottie’s service.”

“Paula is friendly and so knowledgeable. Her dogs were great playmates for my dog, so I got a happy, tired out pup when I came for pick up. Paula was flexible with me on drop off and pick up times due to icy roads - I really appreciated her kind demeanor and quick communication.”

“Angelique was great! Since the meet and great up until the moment I picked up my pup from the boarding time, she was very kind and communicative. My dog was thrilled to stay with her and was borderline upset to have to leave. The photos Angelique sent through his stay kept us well informed and we could tell Oakley was having a good time. Would highly recommend and re-book!”

“Sandy provided outstanding service and care for our aging dog. Ginger came back happy and with more energy. We hope to book with Sandy again. Thank you so much! John, Kathy and Ginger”

“Damon was Amazing with coco. He provided her with all the physical and mental nourishment she needs and sent us tons of pics/vids. Do not hesitate booking with Damon! He’s a standup individual 100%!”

“Aleisha and her family always take wonderful care of our dog Koda while we’re away. Koda clearly enjoys her stays, and we always receive constant updates. We couldn’t be happier knowing Koda is doing so well, and we highly recommend Aleisha. We will definitely reach out to her next time!”

“Takae and her partner provided exactly what the humans needed as well as what our Luna needed during her first boarding experience. Takae is a great communicator, and understood how helpful unprompted updates would be for the humans to enjoy their time away without much worry. The best part, Luna seemed to settle right in and Takae and her partner shared that her being there helped them too - to slow down and relax. 😎”

“Karly went above and beyond when my elderly doggo was ill, taking him to the vet, following up, and giving medication. My sweet boy was happy and healthy when I picked him up. So grateful!”

“Sumo and Gromit had a blast with Kelly and her girls! I received lots of pictures, videos and text messages. Kelly even washed Sumo because he was so dirty from rolling around in her backyard! We'll definitely use Kelly again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Beaverton
Christy did a great job watching my dog when I had a last minute work trip. She was super friendly and kind, allowing my dog to chew up stuffed animals that she had for her rover guests. My dog was tired and content when I picked her up, so I know she was well taken care of.

Nana was so kind and attentive. She sent me lots of pictures and updates and made me feel totally comfortable leaving my fur baby with her. Her two senior dogs were friendly and kept my dog company while I was gone. Her front yard and backyard are fully fenced in so he had plenty of room to roam around. 10/10 would recommend.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
