“Mara was an incredible dog sitter for our girl Nala. She was so thoughtful in all the ways and thoroughly updated us on her status throughout the day for her entire stay, putting our mind at ease. It's clear that Mara is doing this for her love of dogs and felt a deep sigh of relief knowing our doggie was in her care. We so look forward to working with her again!”

“I had a wonderful experience boarding my dog with Amanda and Jaime. Amanda was very communicative and friendly. I appreciated the daily updates and photos. It was clear my dog was very well cared for. They were also extremely helpful with accommodating a last minute request! I will certainly continue boarding with them in the future.”

“Dawne and her family were amazing to work with. They took wonderful care of our dog son and their care for him allowed us to truly feel reassured that he was in good hands while our family went through some big changes. We loved working with them and hope to do so again in the future!”

“Carolyn had our 14 year old Dixie for 2 weeks. Carolyn enjoyed our Rocky and Rocky really enjoyed Carolyn. Carolyn kept us informed on how he was doing while we were gone, and sent photos. Rocky was in good spirits when we returned to pick him up and he’s doing just fine at home. Carolyn gave Rocky a lot of attention and love, and we couldn’t be happier. We’re looking forward to having Carolyn sit Rocky again in the near future. Thank you Carolyn!”
“Melodie has watched Maisie twice. While Maisie can be great with other dogs in a large dog park, sometimes in confined spaces her herding, bossie Corgi side of her comes out, but there has never been a problem at Melodie's. She has a nice back yard for the doggies to roam. She is great with the dogs!”

“Hanlan was great in her care of our cat. She forwarded pics and videos daily showing our cat playing and being comfortable with her care. We hope to have her care in the future and Highly recommend her to all.”

“Juliann did such a wonderful job of taking care of our beloved dog. She took the time to introduce herself and her lovely family and we got a chance to have Yoda do a meet and greet. Their house was very warm and inviting and they really took to him. They were very thorough with all of their questions and made sure that they were equipped to take good care of him. During the trip they gave us constant updates and photos and we felt very safe that he was in good hands. when we went to go pick him up, he did not seem that enthusiastic to leave, which was both sad but also a great sign of how much fun he was having there. We absolutely would work with them again and recommend them to anyone looking to have their dogs be in safe and loving hands.”

“Angela was great to work with. We were able to do a meet and greet prior to the stay to make sure all the dogs got along well. Our puppy had a blast and was well taken care of. Would definitely book with Angela again!”

About: I have been around dogs my whole life! My mother was a dog breeder, meaning I have experience with puppies! I can’t remember a time when we didn’t have a dog in the house growing up, wasn’t till recently that I haven’t had a pet in the home. I’m a single mom to an animal loving 3 year old, who would be my little helper. I currently work in the medical field meaning I’m comfortable administering all kind of medications, whether that be topical, oral, or injectable medications. I have done pet sitting in the past, I have taken care of many kinds of animals, dogs, cats, horses, livestock, you name it I’ve probably taken care of it! I currently work full time, but I am home on evening and weekends, so I’m home starting Friday night to Sunday night to take your pup out as often as possible. During the week I am gone typically 12-14 hours a day, but if your pup is use to that I can make it work to let them out in the morning and then rush back to let them out once I’m home. I live in a duplex with a small fence in area that I can do quick potty breaks and then live close to walking trails for longer outside times. I have a 3 year old daughter who loves to play with animals. I also love close to parks that I can take dogs to if owner is comfortable with me transporting them. I also live close to my sister who has an active dog who loves friends to play with so that is an option if you have a high energy dog that likes friends.

“Peter and his family did an excellent job providing care & love for my dog Nico while my family and I completed our permanent change of station (military). They were professional and courteous, even going above & beyond when they took Nico to an important veterinary appointment for plane travel. They have my highest recommendation”

“My miniature labradoodle and chihuahua seemed to have a great time at Julie's over a 4 day stay, and when I picked them up, they were very happy and normal, not stressed at all (as happens usually with other sitters) I will definitely use Julie again”

“Linda was great with my dog and was very communicative. She went above and beyond to make my dog’s stay more comfortable. I would book with her again for any future dog sitting services.”

“Veronica was very attentive and sent pics, Bogey seemed to be having a blast! She has an excellent setup at her house and is a trustworthy and caring person. Thank you Veronica for the TLC you gave Bogey while I was out of town backpacking! Much appreciated!!”

“Sue was amazing. I have a very spoiled, high energy pup that never slows down. She's always up to something. Sue sent updates and pictures several times a day. Cocoa was very happy when we got home.”

“Carin was excited about watching my pup and I could tell shared the same love for her pup as I do mine. I immediately felt like my dog was in good hands when I first met Carin. She was communicative and sent me pictures every day, multiple times today cuts hard to find people who you can trust with your furry friend, but I would choose Carin again!”

“Laura was absolutely amazing!! It was very clear that she treated my dogs with much love and care. She sent regular check-ins with pictures. I felt very relieved to know they were being treated so well!”

“Our sweet Dutches loved her stay. She got all the love, care and belly rubs to make her feel at home. Ava was attentive and willing to stick to dutches diet and give dutches we daily allergy medicine. We enjoyed the pictures we got while being away. We felt better being away knowing our sweet girl was in good hands. She came home a happy girl.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - West Linn
We are so incredibly grateful for the care and patience she showed Kobe during his stay. Kobe is an incredibly lovable dog, but he can also be a handful and really needs someone who is confident, experienced, and understands how to work with dogs who need a little extra care and guidance. She handled him with so much kindness, and understanding, and it gave us such peace of mind knowing he was in capable hands. She was also incredibly gracious when some unforeseen changes came up during his stay, which we appreciated more than I can say. It’s not always easy for us to leave Kobe with someone, and we feel very lucky to have found someone we can trust with him. We are so thankful for the care she gave him and would absolutely recommend her!

Jean was phenomenal! ❤️ I finally took a little time for myself and went out of town, and she gave me such peace of mind by sending updates and pictures of my very loved dog Luna. My Luna isn’t used to being without me and definitely gave Jean a little hassle 😂, but Jean was so patient, caring, and wonderful with her. I truly can’t say enough great things about Jean❤️❤️I would absolutely trust her with any of my fur babies again! 🐾❤️.

Susie was wonderful! My small dog Wrigley can be a little high maintenance and Susie took excellent care of him. She has such patient and kind energy - he warmed up quickly and was so happy when I picked him up. She kept me updated with pictures and I can’t recommend her enough.

I can’t recommend them enough! They took amazing care of Jetson and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. Communication was excellent throughout, with regular updates and photos, which meant so much to me. They were also incredibly flexible when my plans changed and went out of their way to accommodate Jetson, which I truly appreciated. He came home happy, well cared for, and clearly loved. I would absolutely trust them with Jetson again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, compassionate pet sitters.

Denise was amazing with Pepper during her 10 day stay. She is not the easiest doggo to care for and she was patient, accommodating, and supportive of my Pepper. When I picked her back up I could tell she had a great time, with lots of play time with her dogs, and love from Denise.

Samantha and Brian took wonderful care of my dog, Cole. They kept me updated regularly, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. It was clear Cole was having a great time—their family spent lots of time playing with him, and he especially loved hanging out with their dog, Kobe. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup, and I’m so grateful for the love and attention they gave him. I would absolutely trust them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.

Sierra stepped up at the eleventh hour and did a wonderful job! She was open to negotiating a reasonable price, even though it was short notice with my other sitter cancelling on me. I came back from my two week trip to a Special bear that was happy and healthy. She even got her a stuffed animal! Thanks again Sierra :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
