Right At Home! - Full Time Dog CareRichmond, Portland, OR

Your dog will feel right at home here! We have a lot of fun! We go on pack walks, hikes, and head to the off leash dog park to play ball (if you permit) We are very close to Laurelhurst Park, Mt Tabor Park, and we also love Fernhill and 1000 Acres.

When it is hot outside, I have misters set up throughout the yard, sometimes we pull out the kiddie pool, and I have a super powerful air conditioner that keeps the inside of my home quite chilly! When it is cold, we have a woodstove fire and lots of blankets and cozy dog beds.

I am a dog lover that has always had 1-4 dogs in my life at all times, fostered many dogs, and have also worked with dogs that needed special attention from Family Dogs New Life Shelter and Fences for Fido . I love dogs with all my heart, and their comfort comes first. I work for myself and watch dogs full-time. I have large crates if needed/requested, and I am familiar with dogs with special needs. 24/7 care is possible if requested as well. I have two dogs that make great playmates, yet at the same time, if your dog is a king or queen and likes to be an only child, I have the ability to keep your dog separate, comfortable and at peace. I own my own home, have lots of dog beds everywhere, and dogs are always allowed inside at all times!! I will also text you daily with photo updates of our adventures!

I have a 4 PM or later drop off (4-7 PM) and a 10 AM or earlier pick up (8-10 AM), or else doggy day care ($29) applies for one or both ($29 x 2) respective start/end days (in cases off added daycare, you can drop off between 8 and 10 AM and/or pick up between 4 and 7 PM). If you need a drop off or pick up before 8 AM, or a drop off or pick up later than 7 PM, I request that you just leave your dog for an additional night of boarding. In a complete and total bind, I will allow drop offs or pick ups past 7 PM or before 8 AM, but it is $15 for every hour or increment thereof. I don't do midday pick ups and drop offs, especially on the weekend, because we are out on dog walks/adventures. All pick ups and drop offs need to be scheduled between my time frames, preferably on the half hour. This allows me to give each dog the time they need to integrate into the home.

* Pickup/Drop Off rates are $20 for under 5 miles, out and back in one trip ie: if you live 7 miles from me, drop off or pick up will be $24 (2 extra miles each way = 4 extra miles x $1/mile= +$4. If you live anything under 5 miles away, it will be a flat fee of $20

**Any trips to the pet food store (if your pet runs out of food), trips to the vet for vaccinations or pre-existing conditions, or other errands for your pet are billed at $35/hour + $1/mile.

*** Even if I am marked BOOKED on the calendar, please don't hesitate to contact me via a general inquiry or a custom quote, especially if your dog is small. It means there will be at least a few dogs here boarding - if your dog is mellow and gets along with all dogs, it will most likely be no problem. We have more than enough room and people to keep a watchful eye!! I only accept one new dog during any particular block of time, the rest are all repeat clients. Send your general inquiry now!

****Dogs over 80 lbs are $60 per night. Please provide all details and send a general inquiry. Dogs must have good leash walking skills and training. Currently I only accept dogs over 80 pounds on a case-by-case basis.

*****Puppies 1 year old and younger are $75 per night. If your puppy is 6 months to 1 year, and you believe your dog is mature for it's age, you can leave your dog for a day of daycare or a night of boarding to be assessed. If they pass the criteria, (ie: have some obedience training, are potty trained, no longer chew everything indiscriminately, are independent, and are kennel trained), the rate will be $60 for future stays until they turn 1 year. Dogs that are geriatric and have a lot of medical issues, medications and/or incontinence will also be charged at the puppy rate of $75 per night . Daycare is $29 when attached to a boarding stay. Standalone daycare is $45.

****** I accept unspayed and unneutered puppies under 6 months. BUT if your dog is over 6 months and unspayed or unneutered, it is $75/night (same as my puppy rate) and you MUST indicate this to me verbally at the time of booking. I only accept unaltered dogs of any age on a case by case basis, depending on the other dogs I will have here at the time. All dogs must also be up-to-date on all vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordatella), and have proof of flea preventative. All owners must also fill out an 4 page intake form.

Late pickups (after a 30 min grace period) incur a $15/hour fee in addition to regular daycare charges.

My holiday boarding rate is $50/night. I have a two night minimum over holiday periods (see the Rover calendar for more information regarding holiday periods).

ALL DOGS MUST BE KENNEL TRAINED. I do not leave dogs in kennels often or for long periods ever, however, if I do have to leave the home to walk other dogs, or for a quick errand, I do separate dogs and kennel them. I also feed dogs in kennels to ensure that dogs eat their own food and ONLY their own food.

I DO NOT accept dogs with excessive barking issues, severe separation anxiety, strong dominance issues, or even the slightest bit of aggression towards humans or other dogs. YOU MUST DISCLOSE IF YOUR DOG(S) HAVE ANY OF THESE ISSUES. IF YOUR DOG EXHIBITS ANY OF THESE BEHAVIORS, I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO IMMEDIATELY TERMINATE THE STAY AND YOU WILL BE CHARGED $150 PER DAY UNTIL THE DOG IS PICKED UP BY YOU, YOUR EMERGENCY CONTACT, OR ANOTHER SITTER ARRANGED BY ROVER.

I have worked as a foster for Fences For Fido, Hopes Haven, and Family Dogs New Life Shelter. I have been pet sitting full time for 7+ years. I have owned and taken care of dogs for 30+ years.

Why I love dog sitting

I have cared for and fostered dogs for the last 30 years. I have always had 1-4 dogs in my life at all times. I grew up with dogs and was taught responsibility through the caretaking of dogs. Dogs bring me a lot of joy and happiness and I love how each dog is an individual with a unique personality. I could not imagine my life without dogs involved. Bonding with dogs is very rewarding.

About my yard

I have a medium sized yard that is fenced in with a brand new 6 ft tall solid cedar fence. Buried around the whole perimeter of the yard is chicken wire so dogs cannot dig out. All gates are doubled and locked. Around the perimeter of the yard is a dog run with cedar chips and misters for the summer. I clean up the dog run multiple times daily. We go on a pack walk in the AM and a pack walk in the PM. In the summer, dogs will play like they are in a mini doggy daycare, lounge around in the yard, and on the back deck basking in the sun and soaking up the rays :)

My experience administering medication

I can administer medicine orally, nasally, or intramuscularly.

SandyPDX: Taking dogs still :)Sabin, Portland, OR

During this time of social distancing and possible quarantine I am taking small dogs on a last minute basis...but without meet & greets. We can do a virtual meet & greet on the phone. :)

I specialize in small breed dogs (1-year-old and older). Special needs & geriatric are welcome. I don't walk dogs off my property, for safety's sake, but they have free reign in the backyard as many times a day as they like.

Now retired, I enjoy being with the dogs 24/7, except to get groceries or occasionally go to the gym for an hour or so.

I am as loving and indulgent as only a favorite Aunt or Grandma can be. Naughtiness and 'accidents' do not freak me out. Lap lounging is encouraged and welcome. Lots of snuggling and cuddling for every dog, every day.

Fenced backyard is safe and secure. I will send you texts or email messages with pics daily. Dog-friendly floors and furniture, and smoke-free environment. Dogs are fed separately from each other, so nobody gets anyone else's food.

I look forward to having your dog(s) come stay with me!

About this sitter:

I love having dogs around me...they are the best companions. It is so much fun having my dog visitors and I feel great about providing a home setting for people who worry about their dogs being unhappy while they are traveling. I have not had any dogs display separation anxiety during their stay. They all respond to the comfort, safety, and affection of a home stay.

Why I love dog sitting

I have loved dogs all my life. I've always had dogs at home and dogs seem to like me too.

About my yard

Small fenced back yard, secure.

My experience administering medication

I am used to giving pills, drops, ointments. But not injections. I also know how to help a dog if they have a seizure.

Experienced Veterinary TechnicianBeaverton, OR

I put myself through school to care for animals because they are my passion in life. I can offer a safe, warm home, with a lot of love to give. I have experience with all different breeds, big and small, and the patience to go with it. Your pets will become part of our family for however long they are with us, and hopefully even after ;). If your pet requires special care or has medical needs, I am experienced in administration of oral and injectable medications and able to identify when pets need medical attention. I am home throughout the day, every day, so your pet will rarely be alone for long. We have different styles of boarding techniques and our number one priority is to safely help your pet feel at home. To feel safe, secure, and loved. I have worked as a licensed veterinary technician for over 5 years and still could not imagine life without my cats and dogs. I run a foster care/ rescue home for cats from my home, and work with local spay and neutering programs in our community. I have two dogs and two cats of my own and the cats are very dog savvy with all visitors. They know from the minute the dog walks through the door if they can be trusted, LOL. My daughter is 10 years old and is understanding and respectful of animals. If your pet is not so fond of kids, we can work around that too. If you have a puppy, this is a great home for obedience, socialization, and consistency. Please consider our family to help care for yours!

About this sitter:

If you have an animal that is too anxious to leave your home, or can't leave your home, I will come to them. I have experience with cats, dogs, rabbits, pocket pets, amphibians, birds, and fish. Being a veterinary technician, I love to care for, and get to know, all animals. I will come care for your pet at least once per day, up to four times per day, to spend time playing with and getting to know each pet. If I am needed to make more than one visit per day, I am available to do that for an additional, but reduced fee.

Why I love dog sitting

I have worked in the veterinary field for over 5 years now and nothing has brought me more pleasure than working closely with families and getting to know their furry family members through pet boarding and care taking. I have been a dog and animal lover my whole life and I went to school to become a veterinary technician so I could work as a trusted professional in our community. I am living the dream currently through Rover!

Meet my pets

We have two female Bullmastiffs. Annie is about 7 years old. She is very friendly with everyone and has never been part of an awkward or dangerous situation. She is the best of the breed and loves everyone, as Bullmastiffs do. She is crate trained and my baby. My other Bullmastiff is Rose, a 2 year old, and has been very well socialized. She grew up in the environment of animals and people coming and going. She thinks that everyone that comes over is here to play with her and she is very much still a puppy at mind and heart. She is mostly obedient, but truthfully has her moments of excitement, and is crate trained.

I have two male cats that are 3 years old. My DSH seal point is Rabbit, Bunny Rabbit Frances to be exact, and our DMH Manx mix is Little John, though not so little. They both are very respectful of dogs and will leave them alone if that is either ones preference. They know the moment a dog visitor walks through the door, if they can trust them or not. If they get to know each other and accept each other, they will groom your dog, if your dog permits it ;)

About my yard

We have just under a quarter acre with a fully fenced back yard. The area is mostly grass with some cement patio present. It is dog friendly with a level playing area and room to run. We also have beautiful walking trails to Hazeldale dog park right behind our property.

My experience administering medication

I am a licensed veterinary technician and have been trained in the administration of drugs orally, IV, SQ, IM, and ID. I am comfortable with any medical concerns if the dog is comfortable with me doing it.

Bed & Biscuits Pet Hotel, LLCKing, PORTLAND, OR

Hello, my name is Sandy and I live with my little dog Yoda. I fell in love with the little guy several years back working as a volunteer at the Oregon Humane Society. He was a bit of a rascal, since he spent the better part of five years fending for himself on the streets of LA. It took a lot of patience, perseverance and love to get the little guy to trust me and to be the upstanding dog he is today.

After more than a twenty-five year career in the hospitality industry I recently decided to embark on a new adventure and work online from home. While, Yoda and I have a grand time together here at home we both thought it would be fun to meet new friends and host some sleepovers with other pups in the city.

As a frequent traveler myself, I know how comforting it is to have a safe and loving home for your dog to stay. Your dog will be treated as a part of our family and be surrounded with love and affection.

Our home is ten minutes from the Portland International Airport so it easy for anyone who is getting ready to fly out.

Home full time, fenced yardSherwood, OR

We moved to Sherwood!!

We love dogs! Lacey is a lifelong animal lover who is home to care for the dogs full time and will be your main point of contact. Joe often works from his home office and loves to play with the different pups in our care. Joe’s mom Jenine lives with us and loves snuggling with the dogs on the couch. Sherwood Dog Boarding is a place for mellow dogs who like bursts of play with other dogs or who just like to lounge in the sunshine. Your dog will be as well cared for in our home as he'd be in yours, and we will send you updates as often as you'd like. All of our fur friends receive a lot of one on one attention with individual walks around the neighborhood and plenty of cuddle time. Our house has a fenced yard, and the dogs have plenty of room to play inside as well. Our mission is to build lasting relationships with repeated guests, and our regular clients say that their dogs are always excited to come over.

Why upset your dog - Stay at Home!Pearl District, Portland, OR

Owner works from home and is able to provide your pet with more attention and potty breaks to align with their normal schedule. However if you want me to come in and just feed your pet and not spend time playing with them, I am the wrong sitter! I have had dogs since I was young and my wife and I need to fill our temporary dog love void! We can develop a plan that works for you and your dog to ensure they have the best time possible!

Why I love dog sitting

I have had dogs since I was born and have had them on and off over the years. We unfortunately do not have a dog right now so we are looking to care for them for their owners.

Love & Care in Backyard Paradise!Bull Mountain, Tigard, OR

About Us

We're a couple living in Tigard with a large, lush green yard that is enclosed by tall trees. Considering our family had two dogs growing up, we love the company of dogs and the joy they bring into our home.

We are both working professionals with a standard M-F work schedule. Your pups are welcome to stay as long as they're obedient, house trained, and accustomed to being home while you're away at work.

Your Dog

Any sized dogs are welcome. We even have experience with older pets who require special attention and medication.

Our Neighborhood

In addition to our large backyard, the big parks of Fowler Middle School, Fanno Creek, and Summer Lake are all within a short walking distance from our home. We frequently go for runs or walks outdoors and would love to take your pups with us.

Our Schedule

During the weekdays, we would walk your pups before work (7-8am), during lunch (12-1), and after work (6-7). We are very flexible on the weekends and have more time to take them on longer runs and walks if they enjoy it.

We look forward to meeting you and your pet!

SW Portland near Lake Oswego and Tigard, our home is around 3200 square feet including 800 square foot indoor play area, backing up on Tryon Creek State Park. My husband, Alan and I take care of the dogs. We can also care for special needs dogs that need medication, potty pads and special diet. Safe, stimulating, supervised care for nice, non-aggressive small to medium size dogs. We have a large 1/3 acre fenced in area for the dogs to play and hiking trails out back. I work out of our home as a photographer so someone is always here for the dogs. Dogs can be boarded overnight or just during the day. I like to work on behavior training and tricks for treats for our campers, sometimes they learn something new. Their owners say they get excited a couple blocks away as they arrive and they want to come in and join in on the fun.

All dogs mush have a form of flea protection on them and a copy of current veterinarian vaccination records.

Small to Medium dogs: $40 per night $25 daycare

Dogs 50 - 80 lbs: $45 per night $30 daycare
