About: Hi, I’m Mary! I live in West Linn and genuinely love spending time with dogs—whether that’s getting outside for a walk or just keeping them company at home. I started pet sitting because I enjoy the routine, the movement, and of course the dogs themselves. It never feels like “work” to me. I understand how important it is to feel completely comfortable leaving your pet in someone else’s care. I’m dependable, easy to communicate with, and I’ll always keep you updated with photos and little notes so you know how your dog is doing. I take the time to learn your dog’s personality and routine so they feel relaxed, safe, and well cared for. I’d love to meet you and your pup! I am retired, giving me a flexible schedule that easily accommodates daily walks and dependable, consistent pet care, so your pets feel loved every single day. I have decades of dog-care experience, from puppies to seniors, I provide dependable dog walking and drop-in services. Now retired, I focus on creating a safe, positive experience that keeps your dog happy and refreshed.

Julie took Rory on a long walk every day we were out of town, even in the pouring rain. They did brisk walks so Rory got good exercise, and was happy. We appreciated her flexing her walk times to find breaks in the atmospheric river rain event.

Shianne is an exceptional dog walker! She's incredibly dependable, flexible, and has fantastic communication. She's also wonderfully sweet with our two corgis, and always makes sure they get a great workout. Our Lulu, who is obsessed with greeting people on her walks, especially loves her time with Shianne. She's my go-to person for our pups!

About: I have grown up with both cats and dogs in the house, even one gerbil! Friends, family, and neighbors have relied on me to care for their animals since the age of 12, and I have experience administering medication and feel comfortable with any extra care your pet may require. I am a freelancer and my last contract ended recently. I am appreciating this downtime, which means I have an open schedule to provide care throughout the day for your pets. I would like to meet your pet in their own environment to keep continuity, and am happy to set up a check-in schedule with you for updates about your pet’s day and routine, including pictures if requested.

I am so incredibly grateful for Alicia. I had an unexpected emergency and had to rush to the hospital, she was able to step in and take care of my dog on such short notice. During an already stressful situation, it gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in caring hands. What touched me even more is her thoughtfulness, compassion, and willingness to help when I really needed it meant more than I can say. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their dog. ❤️

About: I have been around dogs my whole life! My mother was a dog breeder, meaning I have experience with puppies! I can’t remember a time when we didn’t have a dog in the house growing up, wasn’t till recently that I haven’t had a pet in the home. I’m a single mom to an animal loving 3 year old, who would be my little helper. I currently work in the medical field meaning I’m comfortable administering all kind of medications, whether that be topical, oral, or injectable medications. I have done pet sitting in the past, I have taken care of many kinds of animals, dogs, cats, horses, livestock, you name it I’ve probably taken care of it! I currently work full time, but I am home on evening and weekends, so I’m home starting Friday night to Sunday night to take your pup out as often as possible. During the week I am gone typically 12-14 hours a day, but if your pup is use to that I can make it work to let them out in the morning and then rush back to let them out once I’m home. I live in a duplex with a small fence in area that I can do quick potty breaks and then live close to walking trails for longer outside times. I have a 3 year old daughter who loves to play with animals. I also love close to parks that I can take dogs to if owner is comfortable with me transporting them. I also live close to my sister who has an active dog who loves friends to play with so that is an option if you have a high energy dog that likes friends.

About: 🐾 About Me Reliable, stress-free care for your pet — right where they’re happiest: at home. Hi! I’m Nicole — a lifelong animal lover and experienced pet caregiver. I provide dependable drop-ins, walks, and in-home pet sitting so your pets can stay comfortable in their own environment while you’re away. I’ve had animals my entire life, including dogs, cats, rabbits, and chickens, and I’ve also volunteered in veterinary clinics and pet sat for years. Caring for animals is something I genuinely love, and I take that responsibility seriously. ⸻ 🐶 My Care Style I focus on making your pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while keeping their routine as normal as possible. With me, your pet will get: • Consistent, reliable visits you can count on • Lots of attention, affection, and patience • Walks and playtime based on their energy level • Calm, low-stress care in their own home I’m especially attentive to details and will follow your instructions closely — whether that’s feeding schedules, medications, or specific routines. ⸻ 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 About Me & Availability Pet sitting is my primary source of income, so I’m available most days and times for walks, drop-ins, and in-home care. I’m a mom of four, and my days are structured and reliable. I plan my schedule carefully to ensure every pet gets the time and attention they need. You won’t have to worry about missed visits or last-minute cancellations. ⸻ ❤️ What Sets Me Apart • Experienced with many types of animals • Reliable and consistent (this is huge — I show up when I say I will) • Great with shy, anxious, or high-energy pets • Strong attention to detail and routines • Regular updates with photos so you feel connected ⸻ 📝 What I’d Love to Know To give your pet the best care possible, please share: • Their daily routine • Feeding instructions or medications • Personality and behavior (shy, energetic, etc.) • How they do with new people ⸻ 🌟 My Goal My goal is simple: To make your time away stress-free — for both you and your pet. At this time pet sitting is my only source of income. I am available most days/times for pet care. I do have 3 young children as well two of which I drive to and from school and sports. I have a fenced yard and plenty of toys in my home for dogs to play. Even in my fenced yard I do not large dogs outside unattended.

About: I've been around dogs my entire life and can't imagine a home without them. While I haven't worked as a professional dog sitter, I've spent years caring for my own dogs and have always been the person friends, family, and neighbors call when they need someone trustworthy to watch their pets. I currently have two dogs of my own, so I understand the importance of keeping pets safe, comfortable, and happy while their owners are away. Whether it's going for walks, playing fetch, sticking to feeding schedules, giving medications as directed, or simply providing companionship and lots of affection, I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs of all ages and personalities. What sets me apart is that I treat every dog like they're part of my family. I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet, and I strive to provide a calm, loving, and dependable experience for both pets and their owners. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or cuddling on the couch, I'm happy to tailor my care to their needs and routine. I look forward to meeting your pup and making sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I already care for my own two dogs every day. I enjoy going on walks, spending time outdoors, and making sure dogs get the attention, exercise, and affection they need. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to provide reliable care, regular potty breaks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client's home, I focus on keeping them safe, comfortable, and stress-free. I carefully follow feeding schedules, walking routines, medication instructions, and any special requests from pet parents. I provide plenty of supervision, exercise, attention, and affection, while treating every pet as if they were my own. Building trust with both pets and their owners is very important to me.

About: Hi! I'm Nate, and if you've got a dog who needs a walk, a cat who needs a buddy, or a pup who just wants a solid hang — you've found the right human. I didn't just grow up around animals — I grew up with them. We're talking dogs, cats, birds, and full-on farm animals. At any given point in my childhood, our place was basically a petting zoo with a roof. I've hand-fed, cleaned up after, played with, and genuinely loved more species than most people have on their bucket list. These days I'm a proud dog owner myself, and I've also fostered for multiple rescues and organizations — including the Puerto Rico Dog Fund and Many Miles from Home Animal Shelter — so I know firsthand what it means to trust someone with your fur baby. What does all of that experience mean for your pup? It means I'm calm in chaos, patient with personalities, and I actually enjoy watching animals just... be themselves. Whether your dog is a zoomies-at-6am type or a "I will sniff this one blade of grass for 45 seconds" type — I'm here for all of it. My goal is simple: to be the person your dog loses their mind over when they hear my car pull up. Walks, hangouts, check-ins — whatever your pet needs, I bring the energy, the patience, and the genuine love of animals to back it up. Your furry friend won't just be in good hands. They'll be having the time of their life. 🐕 I work from home, so your pet gets real quality time — not just a quick pop-in between meetings! I'm also an early riser, so mornings mean walks, fresh air, and getting those zoomies out before most people even hit snooze. Whether I'm at your place or mine, I follow your rules — feeding schedules, routines, preferred spots on the couch, all of it. You know your pet best and I'm here to keep things consistent and comfortable for them. If your pet stays with me, they'll have a fully fenced backyard to roam and my 4-year-old smaller German Shepherd to show them the ropes — she's basically the ultimate icebreaker.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
