About: Let's be real: our pets are family, and they deserve to be cared for like it! I recently moved to the PNW, but over the last nine years before joining Rover, I've had opportunities to help care for and work with dogs, cats, horses, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, and lizards! As a lifelong pet parent myself, I understand the need to have a reliable, caring, and experienced pet sitter, and I work to provide that for every family I work with! Since I work from home and have a fully remote school schedule, my availability is incredibly flexible! Need a mid-day check-in and a walk? I'm there! Out late and need a last minute sitter? Sounds perfect! I emphasize positive reinforcement and play with my pets and my client's pets. Maintaining your house rules with your pet while building trust through engagement and some light training (basic obedience) will help me establish a relationship with your pet based on mutual trust and play. About: Hi! I'm Nate, and if you've got a dog who needs a walk, a cat who needs a buddy, or a pup who just wants a solid hang — you've found the right human. I didn't just grow up around animals — I grew up with them. We're talking dogs, cats, birds, and full-on farm animals. At any given point in my childhood, our place was basically a petting zoo with a roof. I've hand-fed, cleaned up after, played with, and genuinely loved more species than most people have on their bucket list. These days I'm a proud dog owner myself, and I've also fostered for multiple rescues and organizations — including the Puerto Rico Dog Fund and Many Miles from Home Animal Shelter — so I know firsthand what it means to trust someone with your fur baby. What does all of that experience mean for your pup? It means I'm calm in chaos, patient with personalities, and I actually enjoy watching animals just... be themselves. I have a fenced yard and plenty of toys in my home for dogs to play. Even in my fenced yard I do not large dogs outside unattended.

About: I have a dog loving family, and my pride and joy is my sweet, friendly, and very playful Golden Retriever who is a huge part of my life. I have loved raising and training her, and I know how important it is to feel completely comfortable with the person caring for your dog. I intentionally keep my daycare small so every pup gets plenty of individual attention, affection, playtime, and room to relax. My goal is to give your dog a fun, comfortable day in a home where they can play, explore, snooze, and get lots of love. My home is never empty! I work from home, and my teenage son is home most days too, so your pup will always have someone around for company, attention, playtime, and potty breaks. Dogs in my care are never left unattended, and I love having them hang out with me and be part of my day. I have a clean, spacious home with plenty of room to play and relax, along with a large fenced yard for outdoor time and potty breaks. I keep the number of dogs I care for small so I can give each pup plenty of individual attention and keep a close eye on everyone. About: I have had dogs since I was 16. Cats since I was 20. I have also owned various other animals, including livestock. My schooling helped me learn general animal care and I have had the same dog trainer for 20 years. Our pets have regular vet care. I pet sit for friends and family often, both at their homes and in our own home. Just informational, I do live with males, including teens, who have attended dog training classes and help when I need to step out if the house. I also have a very large yard for lots of running and exercise. I work fill time, but remote. I can choose to be from home or in office so am available to watch pets at home all day, when needed. We have a large fully fenced yard. We do have chickens, but they are gated in their own area. I have a pet gate to keep dogs from going downstairs unattended and a door as backup. I provide a pet water fountain for constant fresh and flowing hydration. Pets get regular treats and training refreshers to keep their minds sharp and engaged. My house is inundated with both cat and dog toys for constant entertainment.

About: Before providing pet care with Rover, I had had the privilege of pet and house sitting for 7 local pet owners in the Ashland area for a year and a half. I have also cared for pets in Talent and Medford, and the love has been reciprocal. I enjoy actively playing with pets and getting to know their personalities. I also have a van and use it to take your dog(s) hiking in the Ashland trails or Jacksonville Forest Park, or to visit the local dog parks according to your and your pets needs and adaptability to other canines. I currently have a very flexible schedule. I sometimes do part time work as an English teacher trainer and academic writing consultant online--this allows for free time. Caring for your sweet dog(s) and/or cat(s) is paramount. I am very adaptable with regards to your home and preferences. I only request a set of instructions to fully attend to your and your pet's needs while in your home.

We have also had goats, pot bellied pigs, chickens, miniature donkeys and fish. We love spending time with animals and attending to their needs.
