“I am so incredibly grateful for Alicia. I had an unexpected emergency and had to rush to the hospital, she was able to step in and take care of my dog on such short notice. During an already stressful situation, it gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in caring hands. What touched me even more is her thoughtfulness, compassion, and willingness to help when I really needed it meant more than I can say. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their dog. ❤️”

About: I have grown up with both cats and dogs in the house, even one gerbil! Friends, family, and neighbors have relied on me to care for their animals since the age of 12, and I have experience administering medication and feel comfortable with any extra care your pet may require. I am a freelancer and my last contract ended recently. I am appreciating this downtime, which means I have an open schedule to provide care throughout the day for your pets. I would like to meet your pet in their own environment to keep continuity, and am happy to set up a check-in schedule with you for updates about your pet’s day and routine, including pictures if requested.
“Emily has been a wonderful and reliable dog walker for our Labrador puppy, with dozens of visits/walks from true baby puppyhood to adolescence. We feel very comfortable with her and she has always been communicative and flexible.”

“Shianne was fantastic! This was our second booking with Shianne and our dog was so happy to see her! Shianne has everything we would want in a dog walker - clear communication, patience and skill with dogs, warmth and professionalism. I'll definitely look to Shianne any time I can't walk my own dog in the future.”

About: I've been around dogs my entire life and can't imagine a home without them. While I haven't worked as a professional dog sitter, I've spent years caring for my own dogs and have always been the person friends, family, and neighbors call when they need someone trustworthy to watch their pets. I currently have two dogs of my own, so I understand the importance of keeping pets safe, comfortable, and happy while their owners are away. Whether it's going for walks, playing fetch, sticking to feeding schedules, giving medications as directed, or simply providing companionship and lots of affection, I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs of all ages and personalities. What sets me apart is that I treat every dog like they're part of my family. I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet, and I strive to provide a calm, loving, and dependable experience for both pets and their owners. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or cuddling on the couch, I'm happy to tailor my care to their needs and routine. I look forward to meeting your pup and making sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I already care for my own two dogs every day. I enjoy going on walks, spending time outdoors, and making sure dogs get the attention, exercise, and affection they need. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to provide reliable care, regular potty breaks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client's home, I focus on keeping them safe, comfortable, and stress-free. I carefully follow feeding schedules, walking routines, medication instructions, and any special requests from pet parents. I provide plenty of supervision, exercise, attention, and affection, while treating every pet as if they were my own. Building trust with both pets and their owners is very important to me.
About: I have been around dogs my whole life! My mother was a dog breeder, meaning I have experience with puppies! I can’t remember a time when we didn’t have a dog in the house growing up, wasn’t till recently that I haven’t had a pet in the home. I’m a single mom to an animal loving 3 year old, who would be my little helper. I currently work in the medical field meaning I’m comfortable administering all kind of medications, whether that be topical, oral, or injectable medications. I have done pet sitting in the past, I have taken care of many kinds of animals, dogs, cats, horses, livestock, you name it I’ve probably taken care of it! I currently work full time, but I am home on evening and weekends, so I’m home starting Friday night to Sunday night to take your pup out as often as possible. During the week I am gone typically 12-14 hours a day, but if your pup is use to that I can make it work to let them out in the morning and then rush back to let them out once I’m home. I live in a duplex with a small fence in area that I can do quick potty breaks and then live close to walking trails for longer outside times. I have a 3 year old daughter who loves to play with animals. I also love close to parks that I can take dogs to if owner is comfortable with me transporting them. I also live close to my sister who has an active dog who loves friends to play with so that is an option if you have a high energy dog that likes friends.

As a full-time Doctor of Physical Therapy student, I have a structured schedule that gives me flexibility throughout the week for dog walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting. I know that every pet is different, so I take the time to learn their personality, preferences, and any special instructions before caring for them. When caring for pets in your home, I do my best to keep their routine as consistent as possible—from feeding schedules and walks to playtime and cuddles. I treat every home with respect, keeping it clean, secure, and exactly as I found it. “We've been using Christine for semi-regular walks for our very nervous-yet-twerpy lab for the last few weeks, and have been absolutely thrilled to have her! Her communication is fast, thorough and reassuring, she's been super patient with our girl getting to know her, and it seems like they've been having some fun saunters through the neighborhood. Thanks so much Christine!!”

Dora was SO excited about her time with Lindsey. They took the time to really make her feel comfortable and start building trust. Dora is happier than I have seen her in a while and good and tired after Lindsey’s visit. I’m looking forward to Dora getting to spend more time with them. :)

Will has been walking our elderly dog during these cold months and we couldn’t be happier with his service. We love Will! He makes our lives easier by helping us with our dog and paying close attention to his bumps and aches as he ages. Would recommend Will for anyone who loves their dog but also has a million things on their plate and just needs someone reliable!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
