“Amir did an amazing job taking care of our dog Yoshi! I knew right away from the meet and greet that he was going to be a great fit. He has a very calm energy and it was the perfect vibe for our Shiba. he was very communicative throughout the time we were out of town which put us at ease. 10/10 I would have Amir take care Yoshi again.”

“We booked Frank for dog walking and all three sessions were smooth and seamless! We appreciate having an option for someone to come in and give our girl a little extra care. Thank you, Frank!”

About: I grew up with dogs, cats and rabbits I’ve always truly loved animals and spending time with them, taking care of them, giving them all the love and attention they need/deserve. Mainly throughout the years I’ve taken care of cats and I have dogsitting experience with pets owned by friends and family for about a few years. I love cats a lot and I end up having a special bond with every one I meet. I love dogs too, I believe every dog has a kindred spirit whether outgoing or reserved I try my best to treat them with respect and lots of love. I’m always happy to care for them especially since it’s fun to go on walks, have playtime with them. I will try my best to make sure every pet feels safe, content and happy with me I am looking forward to applying to a veterinary school program so I can one day be a veterinary technician but as of currently I am unemployed and looking for a job that will be fulfilling for me in every way. I am taking a gap year aswell to figure out my schedule for whenever I do get a job. In the meantime I spend my days relaxing at home reading or doing garden work I’d like to say I’m an observant person and very caring aswell, I tend to check in a lot even if it’s not needed and keeping track of when pets need to be let out, feed, given medication, any of the sorts im right on time. I also give pets time to adjust to me before jumping into touching them, I like to let them come to me first to make them feel comfortable if they are shy. If they are messy i don’t mind cleaning up a mess/cleaning up poop/pee. I also love to take lots pictures of pets for the people that book with me to ensure their pet is happy and in good hands

About: I’ve been an animal lover my entire life! I have a medically complex cat, so I’m very experienced with giving pills and administering medications. As a pet owner myself, I understand how stressful it can feel to be away from your pet. My goal is to care for your animal with the same attention and genuine care I give my own, so you can feel confident they’re in good hands. I’m currently a medical student at Oregon Health & Science University completing a dedicated research year, which gives me a flexible schedule throughout much of the week. Taking dogs on walks or spending time with animals has become one of my favorite ways to step away from studying, get outside, and recharge, so I’d love for your pet to join me! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special instructions before every visit. Whether I'm walking your dog or caring for your pet in your home, I make sure they have fresh water, plenty of attention, playtime, and a positive experience. I always keep cats indoors and dogs leashed unless instructed otherwise in a secure, designated area. I also provide owners with regular updates with photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away.
“Shianne was fantastic! This was our second booking with Shianne and our dog was so happy to see her! Shianne has everything we would want in a dog walker - clear communication, patience and skill with dogs, warmth and professionalism. I'll definitely look to Shianne any time I can't walk my own dog in the future.”

About: As a college athlete, I’m active, responsible, and used to sticking to a routine. I’ve grown up around animals and genuinely love giving pets attention, exercise, and companionship. I’m patient with nervous or shy pets and happy to match each animal’s energy level, whether that means a long walk, playtime, or a cozy day at home. I am comfortable handlings dogs of any size. My goal is for every pet to feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away! Pet care is already a regular part of my everyday life. I take care of my cat daily and help keep our 2 family dogs happy, active, and well exercised. I’m used to being attentive to their needs, keeping up with their routines, and making sure they get plenty of love and attention. Caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, so adding pet care to my daily routine feels very natural to me. I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I make sure pets are in a safe, comfortable environment, follow their normal routines, and pay close attention to their behavior and needs. I’m respectful of clients’ homes and always make sure doors, gates, and other entrances are secure. I also keep pet areas clean and communicate with owners if anything seems unusual. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel completely comfortable while you’re away.
“Nadine was super responsive and flexible when I needed last minute help with walking my dog. Nadine was great at communicating before and during the walk if there were any questions and being patient with my stubborn boy. Highly recommend!”

“Alyson has been walking my little blind weenie for about a month now. My little girl loves her and is always so excited for her walk. Alyson is so sweet and gentle with her. Alyson communicates well and is prompt. I would highly recommend her!”

“Our dog doesn't have a lot of experience with sitters, and Allison knew just how to patiently interact with her as she warmed up to her new friend. We're also going through a house move, so our pup and cats are going through lots of change. It feels good to know that Allison brings the experience we need as an animal lover.”

About: Hello! I love all animals of any form. I believe all animals deserve patience to get to know someone. I’m not afraid to be nipped a little to earn their trust. My style of pet sitting is matching the pet! I understand some animals prefer just lounging around and playing with toys inside, while others love running outside and going on long walks! I have fun doing both. In my lifetime, I’ve owned 4 dogs, 2 cats and 2 hamsters. I’ve done pet sitting for the past three years to make extra income for school. Trying out the Rover app to see if I can schedule more work! I currently am at work / school from M-F 12pm-5pm but don’t let this deter you! My office is pet friendly and I can bring along your pet with me (I request that they are potty trained). I’ll be free to pet sit at home / at your place out of office hours! There’s a little bit of flexibility in here, please reach out. I currently have no uncaged pets roaming around the house. Other than that, our house is free for your furry friend to roam with a two dog parks nearby. For housesitting, I follow all rules listed! If there are no rules, I’d let you know what my plans will be for the day! I always update with photos and videos, every 2-4 hours. You can also call me anytime I’m with your pet and see how they’re doing live. :)

I have experience caring for cats with different personalities and am familiar with cat behavior and body language. I provide reliable drop-in visits that prioritize your cat’s comfort and individual needs. My work as a pet photographer has given me a lot of hands-on experience with dogs and cats of all temperaments. I read their body language well and know how to help them feel relaxed and at ease in new situations. I work from home, so my schedule is very flexible. I’m available on weekends from 8am–4pm, and weekdays work too with at least one day’s notice. Tell me what times you’re looking for, and I’ll accommodate as much as possible. Feeding is included as part of your pet’s regular routine, and my focus is on keeping pets happy, comfortable, and stress-free.
“This is the second time Mara has helped me out with taking my pup on a walk while I’m at work. She is so great with my girl and sends the cutest pics and videos of their adventures. It’s wonderful having peace of mind that your furry child is well taken care of while you’re gone! She’s the best!”

About: I've worked in the pet care industry for 8 years now. I have experience working in a vet hospital and in grooming salons. I know how to read cat and dog body language and have more hands on experience with pets than your typical sitter. I can provide baths and nail trims for both dogs and cats on request. I recently moved to the greater Portland area so my schedule is wide open at the moment. Sunday - Saturday just let me know what you need. I can keep your dog or cat up to date on their training, work with any feeding or exercise schedule they have and give them lots of love and cuddles.
“Thank you for taking care of our dogs! We have been looking for someone we can rely on in the coming weeks to help walk our dogs and feel so thankful to have found that someone in you!”

About: PLEASE NOTE: still available to be booked if you are going away for the 4th of July!! I’ve been around animals my entire life, bunnies cats, dogs and horses for the most part. I absolutely adore animals. I used to work at a doggy day care and had 140 dogs on the busiest day! Ive been dog sitting for a couple years now! I just recently hopped back onto rover due to getting a new job but with a pay cut and been meaning to start up a second job again! what better way to make some extra money then hanging out with animals ☺️☺️I live in happy Valley and work in Milwaukee , so I prefer to work around the area I live in, but I’m also happy to drive a ways away if it’s a great fit! My living situation doesn’t allow for me to have other animals in my home. I prefer to go to my clients homes for boardings, I want the animals to be in an environment that they’re comfortable and feel safe in!!

Madeline has been absolutely wonderful with our two dogs, who couldn’t be more different in personality and needs. She’s incredibly attentive, patient, and clearly takes the time to understand each of them individually. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were both cared for in a way that suited them best.

Aislynn was such an awesome walker and would highly recommend her! She took such great care of our dog and cat, and we would book her again in a heartbeat. We were in constant communication and the pictures we got every day were great. Thelma and Bourbon would love to see you again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
