“Amir did an amazing job taking care of our dog Yoshi! I knew right away from the meet and greet that he was going to be a great fit. He has a very calm energy and it was the perfect vibe for our Shiba. he was very communicative throughout the time we were out of town which put us at ease. 10/10 I would have Amir take care Yoshi again.”

“Shianne was fantastic! This was our second booking with Shianne and our dog was so happy to see her! Shianne has everything we would want in a dog walker - clear communication, patience and skill with dogs, warmth and professionalism. I'll definitely look to Shianne any time I can't walk my own dog in the future.”

“Kincaid was the best! They helped us in a pinch and were super accommodating. It was clear our pup Walter really liked them, and he got a little extra walk time which was so kind. We would absolutely rebook future walks or drop by visits!”

“Madeline has been absolutely wonderful with our two dogs, who couldn’t be more different in personality and needs. She’s incredibly attentive, patient, and clearly takes the time to understand each of them individually. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were both cared for in a way that suited them best.”

“Cooper is always so happy to see Bridgette. He gives a little squel when he sees her coming up the sidewalk. Then, as I close the door, I see him turn to her for a face to face hello and petting. He loves his walks, but he obviously enjoys his personal connection with Bridgette, too. Warms my heart every time!”

About: I have a lot experience working with cats and dogs. I am the go to pet sitter in my friend and they are always surprised at how happy their pets are when they come home. I have a lot of free time currently and am available every day in the morning and every day in the afternoon and evening except Tuesday afternoon. When I am sitting I will follow your instructions to a tee, making sure to maintain a routine that your pet is used to and comfortable with.
About: I grew up in rural midwest with dogs, cats, and guinea pigs since I was 9. I was a dedicated and loving dog mama to my beloved bernese mountain dog, Riker, for 9.5 years and I miss him very much. I enjoyed taking my boy to thousand acres, Mt. Tabor, and several other dog parks and we've gone on many hikes on the coast, in the gorge, and in Mt. Hood forest. I have special connections with my friends' animals and I've enjoyed taking their dogs for walks since my boy passed last March. I'm a fourth-year doctoral graduate student at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) meaning my schedule can be pretty flexible. I have two full days of clinic per week and fill the rest of the week with writing and research. When I'm not in clinic I can work with my schedule to take your fur baby on walks, check in on them to let them out, or schedule an adventure! I can also come house sit or invite your pet over for the day or extended stay. I have a fenced in backyard with ample space for throwing the ball or lounging in the sun on a picnic blanket. We also live very close to a park for on leash walks or park hangs. Our fur baby passed in March 2026 but our one-level house is still set up to be accessible with rugs on the wood flooring for traction, plenty of blankets and comfy spots to sleep, and easy access to the back yard (just two steps). We allow animals on furniture but respect your rules if that's a boundary of yours!
“Nadine was super responsive and flexible when I needed last minute help with walking my dog. Nadine was great at communicating before and during the walk if there were any questions and being patient with my stubborn boy. Highly recommend!”

“We got a new rescue who was struggling with trust and wouldn’t come out of her crate. Aislynn was very understanding and tried very hard to make her comfortable. She went above and beyond and really cares.”

My goal is to make your pet feel happy, secure, and at home while you’re away. I currently work full-time, but pet care is something I truly enjoy and make time for. I’m available before and after work on weekdays, as well as weekends. I’ll always communicate clearly about my availability and make sure your pet receives reliable, attentive care and plenty of love during every visit. “Janell is so wonderful with our dog! She knew the best way to meet and greet him, and he’s loved her ever since. She also recommended healthy treats that he loves. Highly recommend.”

About: Your pup will be safe and happy staying with us in our spacious Happy Valley home. We have a large fenced-in backyard, allowing for lots of ball throwing and hangout time with my two springer spaniels. I love taking the dogs on hilly and wooded neighborhood walks, as well as the school yard nearby (for off-leash fun, if you allow!) Our school-age kiddos LOVE helping out with our guest pups, so please make sure your pup is kid-friendly! I pride myself on providing a warm, caring family environment, versus the “kennel” sort of feel. I work from home so I can always be around your pup throughout the day as well as night of course! We look forward to meeting your pup and giving them the best “staycation” ever! I work from home and I have a very flexible schedule. I’m available weekends, early mornings, afternoons, and evenings. On the weekdays, I pick up my kids two blocks away from school and LOVE taking the dogs along! I have a spacious fenced-in backyard where the dogs (and kids) love to play. I can easily crate your pup if needed. We allow the pups on our furniture and enjoy sleeping with them as well.

Madeline has been absolutely wonderful with our two dogs, who couldn’t be more different in personality and needs. She’s incredibly attentive, patient, and clearly takes the time to understand each of them individually. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were both cared for in a way that suited them best.

Aislynn was such an awesome walker and would highly recommend her! She took such great care of our dog and cat, and we would book her again in a heartbeat. We were in constant communication and the pictures we got every day were great. Thelma and Bourbon would love to see you again!

I’m so glad I found Angela to help walk my very particular little cattle dog/chihuahua mix. He was getting too overstimulated at daycare and this has been a great switch. Angela is super communicative, sends great updates and pictures, and always makes sure Alfie has a fresh bowl of water and has settled down comfortably before she leaves. 🙂

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
