“ChristyLynn was able to accommodate a last minute drop in request. She was great with the dogs, they sense right away if someone is a dog person and she definitely is. She asked if it was ok for her girls to come for an evening visit and the dogs loved that. Great communication and appreciated the pics. Will definitely use her again.”

“Maddy was absolutely wonderful. Was extremely attentive to the quarks and needs of our two senior cats. Gave them their daily medication and reassuring updates. We would use her services again in a heartbeat.”

“Amir took great care of our cats and cow while we were away on our trip to Seattle! He was super detailed and asked a lot of great questions during the meet and greet to make sure he was prepared. He was super punctual and took great care of our animals! We will definitely use him again in the future when we need to! Highly recommend!”

“We were so nervous about leaving our brand new puppy home for the first time while we went back to work. Megan came twice to feed and play with our two pups and was amazing and very communicative. Definitely recommend!”

About: I work for a doggie daycare and dog walking company and I walk up to 10 dogs at a time by myself in all kinds of weather. In hot weather, I bring them to shaded parks. I use healthy treats for training and every dog improves, some dramatically. My business partner and I have given sick or injured dogs wagon rides on paved bike trails to get them fresh air and socialization with their friends. At the time of this writing, between the daycare and Rover, I have worked with 80 dogs. I am currently working full time on weekdays, but I’m available on weekends for dog walking, house sitting and drop-in visits. Dog walking is included with house sitting. I am available to pet sit in client’s homes and walk dogs. I am an avid hiker, so I would take them for walks and runs if appropriate. I double check to ensure harnesses are adjusted properly and comfortable. I use a dog walking belt to attach leashes to, keeping my hands free to pick up after them. If another dog passes, I distract my dogs by offering treats for sitting, staying and directing attention at me. I love taking them to play in parks or the yard, and give lots of love, head scratches and belly rubs! I take time to train so they will trust me and come to me when called. I use a happy, excited voice to encourage them to walk, and a calm, gentle voice when giving them a treat so they learn to take it gently from my hand. I even learned commands in Spanish to help a dog who understands that language best. In addition, I have earned online certificates in Dog Emotion and Cognition from Duke University and Animal Behavior and Welfare from the University of Edinburgh.
“Camille and Shayla were amazing with my cat, and are very lovely people. My cat is very shy towards new people, and they respected his boundaries. He came out of his shell after a few days of them stopping by. I appreciated their detailed reports.”

“I had a wonderful experience with Summer checking in and visiting my young and shy kitty Casper! She was always on time or early, and her communication was and is excellent. She sent updates with pictures and videos, and I had total peace of mind knowing Casper was in good hands while I was away. She is so wonderful, she brought little gifts and treats for Casper! I trust and recommend Summer, and I would definitely book her again in the future! 🫶🏼”

“Erin took great care of our cat while we were away, checking on her and medicating her daily. She sent great updates after each visit, giving me peace of mind while I was gone. Thanks Erin!”

“Sarah did an amazing job watching our cats! She took great care of them and made sure our older one got her medications. Sarah was professional, timely and paid attention to all the little details. Thank you 💕”

“Adeline was amazing with our 7 month old Havanese! We can’t wait to use her services again. She has such a calm demeanor and is so kind. You can tell that she really loves caring for your fur babies. Do not pass up the services that Adeline provides, we are thrilled that we found her!”

“Carolyn is very attentive to my pet and has done a great job with drop ins, especially since my pet was 2 days list op from being neutered and not feeling his best self. I appreciate how caring she is and attentive to his needs.”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover, having cats growing up and later volunteering with dogs at rescue orgs. My time as a training class assistant for Puppy Manners and New Dog Basics at the San Francisco SPCA gave me valuable skills in positive reinforcement training, socialization, and handling dogs of all temperaments. Beyond dogs and cats, I also have experience with horses, having owned and leased several. I’m comfortable with feeding, turnout, mucking stalls, brushing, and general equine care, making me a well-rounded caregiver for multi-pet households. What sets me apart is my ability to care for pets at all life stages—from energetic puppies learning the ropes to senior pets needing extra patience and comfort. Whether it’s structured walks, reinforcing good manners, or providing a calm and loving presence, I tailor my care to each pet’s unique needs. With a deep understanding of pet behavior across species and a passion for ensuring their happiness and well-being, I go beyond basic care to provide engaging, enriching, and compassionate pet companionship. After our Husky mix’s TPLO surgery in Fall 2024, I’ve decided to make pet care my main focus. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and this shift allows me to dedicate my time and energy to providing top-quality care for pets in my community. With a flexible schedule, I’m available for daily walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays, and customized care based on each pet’s needs. Whether it’s a midday walk, feeding and playtime, or extra TLC for pets recovering from surgery, I tailor my services to fit both routine and special care requirements. My experience with dogs, cats, and even horses means I’m comfortable handling a variety of schedules—from structured training sessions to free-spirited outdoor adventures. No matter the time of day, I ensure pets get the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or my clients’ homes. At my home, we have a fully fenced yard, providing a secure and spacious area for dogs to play and explore. Your pup will also have built-in companionship with our two friendly dogs, ensuring plenty of socialization and fun. For exercise and enrichment, we have scenic trails nearby, perfect for peaceful walks in the woods—giving dogs a chance to sniff, explore, and enjoy the great outdoors. In my clients’ homes, I respect each pet’s unique routine and environment, providing attentive, reliable, and compassionate care. Whether it’s reinforcing training, maintaining feeding schedules, or ensuring a calm presence while you're away, I treat every pet like they’re my own. No matter the setting, I focus on creating a safe, stress-free, and enriching experience for pets—so you can have peace of mind knowing they’re in loving hands.
“Kathy went above and beyond to care for Saydee. We’re so grateful and 100% would recommend Kathy to anyone looking for attentive care for their pet. Saydee enjoyed a very comfortable stay at her house and we were worry-free knowing that she was really well looked after.”

“Beyond kind to both me and my kitty! Always on time, very attentive, and sent great updates and photos! Took the time to interact and play with my cat and always responded quick! Highly recommend!”

“I’ve used Karly now three times as my cat-sitter while away to take care of my two cats, and just recently, for two weeks while out of the country. She’s great!! She makes sure my two babies are well taken care of - she’s gotten to know both of their personalities and tends to both of their needs (one’s playfulness and the other’s snuggles/pets)! She goes above and beyond and also considers me and the house while gone out of the country (by taking out the trash on trash day for example). She’s also a great communicator and I feel at ease trusting her to take care of both my cats and my home while away!”

“Matthew did an amazing job coming by our house to check on our cat and gather our mail. He contacted us with updates on how everything was. Would definitely have him house sit again in the future.”

About: Hello! I am a 27-year old Behavior Professional that has grown up living with dogs and cats and caring for them. I am good at picking up on body language from animals, so I will be in-tune with how your pet is feeling, which will allow us to build trust between each other. Since I have a genuine passion for animals, you can trust that your pet will be in good hands; this isn’t just a job to me! I want your pet to feel comfortable and have fun. :)
About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and can’t imagine a home without them. Growing up with both dogs and cats gave me a lifelong appreciation for their unique personalities and needs, and that love has only grown over the years. Today, my home is shared with one dog, three cats, and more fish than I can count! Over the years, I’ve gained experience caring for pets of all ages, from energetic puppies and curious kittens to senior dogs and cats who need a little extra patience and attention. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, administering basic care, cleaning litter boxes, taking dogs on walks, providing playtime and enrichment, and making sure pets stay happy and comfortable in their own environment. I’ve also helped care for friends’ and family’s pets while they were away, giving me experience adapting to different personalities, routines, and household expectations. I understand that every pet is unique, and I take the time to earn their trust while following your care instructions closely. Whether your pet loves long walks, interactive play, quiet companionship, or plenty of cuddles, I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I give my own animals. My goal is to provide a safe, dependable, and stress-free experience for both you and your pet, so you can enjoy your time away with complete peace of mind. I work from home, which gives me the flexibility to fit pet care into my daily schedule rather than squeezing it in around a traditional 9-to-5 job. This allows me to be available for drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, walks, medication schedules, and quality time with your pets throughout the day. Whether your pet needs a quick check-in or a little extra attention, I’m happy to work with you to create a schedule that fits their routine. Reliability and communication are important to me, so you can expect timely visits, updates, and photos to let you know how your pet is doing while you’re away. I’m currently offering in-home visits and pet sitting at your home, and I’m also preparing my own home to safely welcome boarding clients in the future. My goal is to provide a comfortable, low-stress environment where every pet receives the same level of care and attention that I give my own. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. Every animal has a unique personality, and I take the time to understand their individual needs rather than expecting them to adapt to me. Some pets want endless playtime and affection, while others prefer a quiet companion who respects their space. I’m comfortable reading animal body language and behavior cues, allowing me to match their energy and help them feel safe and relaxed. When caring for pets in your home, I’ll follow your routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, playtime, and any special instructions you provide. Keeping your pet’s routine consistent helps reduce stress and makes your time away easier on them. As I prepare my home to begin offering boarding services, my focus is on creating a clean, secure, and pet-friendly environment where animals can feel comfortable and at ease. I have a large, fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely run, explore, and burn off energy under supervision. I’ll always introduce pets thoughtfully, supervise interactions, and make sure each animal has a safe space to relax. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or eventually welcoming them into mine, you can trust that they’ll be treated with patience, kindness, and the same level of care I give my own pets.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Harmony
I cannot recommend Angela enough. Our cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes and requires blood sugar checks and insulin injections. Angela handled this perfectly and provided thorough updates on his status. She came over to learn how to care for him and took detailed notes. Angela is very professional and clearly has a deep love for animals. She is a pleasure to work with. Look no further— you’ve found your pet care angel!

Elinor took great care of our high needs geriatric cat. With progressive kidney failure and a long list of medicines, our cat has a specific medical schedule and Elinor stepped into our routine seamlessly. She's a professional vet tech and was able to do the subcutaneous water daily. We appreciated her support with our sweet, but high maintenance cat.

I don’t understand the psychology of pet owners and pet providers… perhaps it’s the common bond of loving animals, but i handed Summer our house keys within 30 minutes of our meet and greet appointment. I generally don’t do that easily. Summer was responsive to our requests for our cat’s care and meal plan and arranged to fit into our schedule without question. She sent us great photos and answered our questions promptly.
Rob dropped in on my two cats for a week. He proved to be intuitive and thorough with the feeding and litter box cleanings. He made friends easily with my cats, even with the younger, more skittish one. She has been known to hide for at least a week with other caregivers, but warmed to Rob in a couple of days. i would not hesitate to recommend Rob for any pet care needs.

Tanja was so professional, flexible and most importantly caring! My cats were not only fed and watered, but given love, scritches, brushies and play time. My shy cat even finally came out to say hi! She went above and beyond in helping out and cleaning up messes. Tanja took diligent notes, followed my instructions carefully, and communicated with us the entire time we were gone! Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Harmony. On Rover:

- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
