“Madeline was professional and friendly and a pleasure to work with! I have a senior cat with hyperthyroidism, and I had been struggling to make arrangements for her while I was out of town for a week, so my request to Madeline was fairly last-minute. She was quick to respond and arrange a meet-and-greet. My cat requires twice-daily applications of medicine, which is a tall order, but Madeline never missed a drop-in. My cat is not comfortable around strangers, so I was impressed to get a Rover Card showing her allowing Madeline to pet her about halfway through my trip! I came home a week later to a happy, healthy cat.”
About: I love all animals. I have a very active puppy that loves walks and I know that everyone’s lives get busy. I try and be available as needed but I also work full time. My pet care experience has mostly been with my own animals. Everyone is busy and tend to work long days. It sucks when you feel guilty for not spending time with your dog. Luckily with services like this you are free from guilt and know that your dog is being taken care of. I love having the option of someone walking my dog (especially after a very long day). If you are comfortable with it my dog also loves new friends and long walks. I try and walk my dog everyday. I work full time but have a flexible schedule to care for animals. I have two dogs but I split them with my ex and on those weeks, I’m extra available. I have a large condo that has access to lots of walking paths and nature. The animal would feel safe and comfortable at my home. I’m also able to go to your home and provide care (that can be easier for pets). I currently watch a lot of my friends dogs when they are out and have shown that I care for their space and animals.

“I’ve used Karly now three times as my cat-sitter while away to take care of my two cats, and just recently, for two weeks while out of the country. She’s great!! She makes sure my two babies are well taken care of - she’s gotten to know both of their personalities and tends to both of their needs (one’s playfulness and the other’s snuggles/pets)! She goes above and beyond and also considers me and the house while gone out of the country (by taking out the trash on trash day for example). About: I work for a doggie daycare and dog walking company and I walk up to 10 dogs at a time by myself in all kinds of weather. In hot weather, I bring them to shaded parks. I use healthy treats for training and every dog improves, some dramatically. My business partner and I have given sick or injured dogs wagon rides on paved bike trails to get them fresh air and socialization with their friends. At the time of this writing, between the daycare and Rover, I have worked with 80 dogs. I am currently working full time on weekdays, but I’m available on weekends for dog walking, house sitting and drop-in visits. Dog walking is included with house sitting. I am available to pet sit in client’s homes and walk dogs. I am an avid hiker, so I would take them for walks and runs if appropriate. I double check to ensure harnesses are adjusted properly and comfortable. I use a dog walking belt to attach leashes to, keeping my hands free to pick up after them. If another dog passes, I distract my dogs by offering treats for sitting, staying and directing attention at me. I love taking them to play in parks or the yard, and give lots of love, head scratches and belly rubs! I take time to train so they will trust me and come to me when called. I use a happy, excited voice to encourage them to walk, and a calm, gentle voice when giving them a treat so they learn to take it gently from my hand. I even learned commands in Spanish to help a dog who understands that language best. In addition, I have earned online certificates in Dog Emotion and Cognition from Duke University and Animal Behavior and Welfare from the University of Edinburgh.

I cannot recommend Angela enough. Our cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes and requires blood sugar checks and insulin injections. Elinor took great care of our high needs geriatric cat. With progressive kidney failure and a long list of medicines, our cat has a specific medical schedule and Elinor stepped into our routine seamlessly. She's a professional vet tech and was able to do the subcutaneous water daily. We appreciated her support with our sweet, but high maintenance cat.
I don’t understand the psychology of pet owners and pet providers… perhaps it’s the common bond of loving animals, but i handed Summer our house keys within 30 minutes of our meet and greet appointment. I generally don’t do that easily. Summer was responsive to our requests for our cat’s care and meal plan and arranged to fit into our schedule without question. She sent us great photos and answered our questions promptly.
Rob dropped in on my two cats for a week. He proved to be intuitive and thorough with the feeding and litter box cleanings. He made friends easily with my cats, even with the younger, more skittish one. She has been known to hide for at least a week with other caregivers, but warmed to Rob in a couple of days. i would not hesitate to recommend Rob for any pet care needs.
Tanja was so professional, flexible and most importantly caring! My cats were not only fed and watered, but given love, scritches, brushies and play time. My shy cat even finally came out to say hi! She went above and beyond in helping out and cleaning up messes. Tanja took diligent notes, followed my instructions carefully, and communicated with us the entire time we were gone!
