“Thank you so much! Sorry I was MIA, no service in the mountains, normally I communicate better. The boys were very happy to have their snacks and a clean box, I had a great time away because I knew they were well cared for.”

“Charles is amazing!! All three of my cats are shy, but he worked wonders with sweetness, patience, and respect for their ways…and thank heavens provided me with plentiful photos and thorough updates! I cannot recommend his services enough! 10 STARS”

“Angela is a great pet sitter and was wonderful with my two cats. She was communicative and made sure to leave detailed notes about how the cats were doing. Really appreciate her and would strongly recommend!”

“ChristyLynn was able to accommodate a last minute drop in request. She was great with the dogs, they sense right away if someone is a dog person and she definitely is. She asked if it was ok for her girls to come for an evening visit and the dogs loved that. Great communication and appreciated the pics. Will definitely use her again.”

“Stayed extra long to make friends with my nervous orange tabby! Went above and beyond to make sure he was ok. Even had to play an impromptu game of hide and seek with him when he was hidden away. Truly appreciate how Karly really cared about my sensitive baby, Chonky. And jumped in when other care from a friend fell through. Thank you! Will definitely book again!”

“Jordan has cared for our cat a few times now, and he’ll be my go-to when we leave town. He takes great care of our cat and home, is reliable, and is easy to communicate with. No issues and would definitely recommend him!”

“Adeline is officially my puppy’s favorite sitter, and we look forward to continuing to rebook her exceptional services! 10/10 recommend her to take care of your pets!”

“Kena did a great job at checking in on my cats while I was out of town. She communicated well and sent updates each day. I would definitely book again in the future!”

About: I have lots of recent experience caring for young puppies thanks to my 2 year old mini aussie Lupin! I also have experience caring for elderly dogs with extra care needs. I want to help teach the commands you give your pup on walks and give lots of praise, love, patience & treats! I’ve had experience helping nervous dogs become more comfortable with new dogs. I think providing dogs with the right environment, building trust, giving lots of praise and affection are the keys to a happy pup! :) I would love to get to know your dog and give them the opportunity to get outside and moving when life gets busy! If your pup needs a place to stay while you’re away, Lupin would love to have them over to play!
About: I've been caring for pets for over 11 years and have experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I understand that every dog is unique and take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and needs. I have experience with senior dogs, puppies, multi-dog households, and pets who may need a little extra patience and reassurance. My goal is always to provide safe, compassionate care so pet parents can have peace of mind while they're away. I currently have availability for walks and drop-in visits in the afternoons and evenings, with additional flexibility on certain days. I strive to provide dependable care and will always communicate promptly regarding scheduling and updates. Safety is my top priority. I carefully follow each pet's routine, feeding schedule, medication instructions, and exercise needs. I take time to build trust with every animal and always use secure leashes and harnesses during walks. In my home, pets are supervised and introduced thoughtfully based on temperament and comfort level. I believe in treating every pet like a member of the family.
“Lynden was wonderful to work with -- very caring and compassionate -- and it was such a relief knowing she was making daily visits while we were gone.”

“Stellar care and communication as always. Thanks so much, Bridgette. And if we don’t see you again because you found a beautiful new home, I hope you have a smooth move experience and a wonderful, fulfilling life. 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽”

“Camille and Shayla were amazing with my cat, and are very lovely people. My cat is very shy towards new people, and they respected his boundaries. He came out of his shell after a few days of them stopping by. I appreciated their detailed reports.”

About: I work for a doggie daycare and dog walking company and I walk up to 10 dogs at a time by myself in all kinds of weather. In hot weather, I bring them to shaded parks. I use healthy treats for training and every dog improves, some dramatically. My business partner and I have given sick or injured dogs wagon rides on paved bike trails to get them fresh air and socialization with their friends. At the time of this writing, between the daycare and Rover, I have worked with 80 dogs. I am currently working full time on weekdays, but I’m available on weekends for dog walking, house sitting and drop-in visits. Dog walking is included with house sitting. I am available to pet sit in client’s homes and walk dogs. I am an avid hiker, so I would take them for walks and runs if appropriate. I double check to ensure harnesses are adjusted properly and comfortable. I use a dog walking belt to attach leashes to, keeping my hands free to pick up after them. If another dog passes, I distract my dogs by offering treats for sitting, staying and directing attention at me. I love taking them to play in parks or the yard, and give lots of love, head scratches and belly rubs! I take time to train so they will trust me and come to me when called. I use a happy, excited voice to encourage them to walk, and a calm, gentle voice when giving them a treat so they learn to take it gently from my hand. I even learned commands in Spanish to help a dog who understands that language best. In addition, I have earned online certificates in Dog Emotion and Cognition from Duke University and Animal Behavior and Welfare from the University of Edinburgh.
“I had a wonderful experience with Summer checking in and visiting my young and shy kitty Casper! She was always on time or early, and her communication was and is excellent. She sent updates with pictures and videos, and I had total peace of mind knowing Casper was in good hands while I was away. She is so wonderful, she brought little gifts and treats for Casper! I trust and recommend Summer, and I would definitely book her again in the future! 🫶🏼”

“Consistent communication, mishap on my part and she worked around it to make sure my boy was taken care of. Always cheerful and happy to come out check up on chief. 10/10 will request again.”

About: My name is Adrian and I am a PSU student making money to move out this summer, I love all dogs big and small and I have owned many throughout my life. I am a music lover at heart when I am not working towards my anthropology major. I hope to one day teach history and culture related classes to all ages of students. My family dog Olav is a large great pyranees mix, and I love him with all my heart. We go on walks, hikes, runs and swims together all the time and all over Oregon. I currently have 2 beautiful cats with my wife, Bowie, and Ziggy. I’m a student with a lot of free time and in need of work so I am trying to get as many walks and check ins in as possible. I am great at walking dogs and very respectful of others homes and spaces of others animals. I am attentive and caring towards all animals.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Battin
Rob dropped in on my two cats for a week. He proved to be intuitive and thorough with the feeding and litter box cleanings. He made friends easily with my cats, even with the younger, more skittish one. She has been known to hide for at least a week with other caregivers, but warmed to Rob in a couple of days. i would not hesitate to recommend Rob for any pet care needs.

Ellen did a great job of taking care of my cat Apple for an extended period of time. She has excellent communication, is thoughtful, generous, and very skilled at training Apple to do tricks! I have booked Ellen in the past, and would gladly book her again. Highly recommended!

Charles is the best cat sitter we've ever had! Our cat has completely adopted him, and it is clear that he is passionate about felines. Charles is also a great communicator. We always looked forward to his messages and beautiful photos of our furry friend!
Tanja was so professional, flexible and most importantly caring! My cats were not only fed and watered, but given love, scritches, brushies and play time. My shy cat even finally came out to say hi! She went above and beyond in helping out and cleaning up messes. Tanja took diligent notes, followed my instructions carefully, and communicated with us the entire time we were gone! Highly recommend!

Tara did a wonderful job taking care of our kitty. She paid attention to his personality and even created a visit routine based on his likes. She always left detailed notes and pictures and made us feel so comfortable with his care while we were away. Thank you Tara!

Sam did an amazing job taking care of my 2 kitties. She is kind, caring and communicative and gave my cats lots of love while I was away. She gave me updates and pictures which put my nerves at ease because I knew my babies were in good hands. I highly recommend Sam to anyone looking for a pet sitter. She went above and beyond for my kitties and I will be contacting her again for future pet sitting!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Battin. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
