About: I work for a doggie daycare and dog walking company and I walk up to 10 dogs at a time by myself in all kinds of weather. In hot weather, I bring them to shaded parks. I use healthy treats for training and every dog improves, some dramatically. My business partner and I have given sick or injured dogs wagon rides on paved bike trails to get them fresh air and socialization with their friends. At the time of this writing, between the daycare and Rover, I have worked with 80 dogs. I am currently working full time on weekdays, but I’m available on weekends for dog walking, house sitting and drop-in visits. Dog walking is included with house sitting. I am available to pet sit in client’s homes and walk dogs. I am an avid hiker, so I would take them for walks and runs if appropriate. I double check to ensure harnesses are adjusted properly and comfortable. I use a dog walking belt to attach leashes to, keeping my hands free to pick up after them. If another dog passes, I distract my dogs by offering treats for sitting, staying and directing attention at me. I love taking them to play in parks or the yard, and give lots of love, head scratches and belly rubs! I take time to train so they will trust me and come to me when called. I use a happy, excited voice to encourage them to walk, and a calm, gentle voice when giving them a treat so they learn to take it gently from my hand. I even learned commands in Spanish to help a dog who understands that language best. In addition, I have earned online certificates in Dog Emotion and Cognition from Duke University and Animal Behavior and Welfare from the University of Edinburgh.

She is incredibly reliable, but what really sets her apart is how naturally in tune she seems to be with cats and their individual personalities. We have an 18-year-old super senior with some health issues, as well as a younger, very shy cat, and she did an amazing job putting both of them at ease. They seemed so relaxed and well-adjusted when we got home, which really speaks to the quality of care and attention she gave them. Her updates throughout our trip were also wonderful. My son and I genuinely looked forward to them and loved seeing how the cats were doing while we were away. And she is somehow also an extremely talented pet photographer. She sent us some truly amazing photos of the cats. I cannot recommend Angela enough. Our cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes and requires blood sugar checks and insulin injections. Angela handled this perfectly and provided thorough updates on his status. She came over to learn how to care for him and took detailed notes. Elinor took great care of our high needs geriatric cat. With progressive kidney failure and a long list of medicines, our cat has a specific medical schedule and Elinor stepped into our routine seamlessly. She's a professional vet tech and was able to do the subcutaneous water daily. We appreciated her support with our sweet, but high maintenance cat.
Rob dropped in on my two cats for a week. He proved to be intuitive and thorough with the feeding and litter box cleanings. He made friends easily with my cats, even with the younger, more skittish one. She has been known to hide for at least a week with other caregivers, but warmed to Rob in a couple of days. i would not hesitate to recommend Rob for any pet care needs.
