When visiting a pet in your home, I am very respectful of your space and focus on making sure your pet is taken care of. I check all food and water bowls, making sure they’re clean, making sure the environment is still safe how you left it, and giving them any needed enrichment like play time, cuddles, walks, etc that you’ve outlined.

A typical day
I love to make sure they get the enrichment that’s important to them and to you. If they need play time with a specific toy we will have so much fun with that toy. If they need lap cuddles often and for long spans of time to feel safe, then I’ll hang out with them for a while so they can snooze on my lap and get pets. If they don’t like a lot of touch but want to be in the same space then I’ll hang out with them in the same room for a while to give them that peace.

Hello! I'm a very conscientious and loving pet walker/drop-in sitter who will go above and beyond to make sure your four-legged family member feels safe and loved. I've had dogs and cats my whole life (varying sizes/breeds), and have had a range of experiences with them, including handling medical conditions, training, and making sure they get enough exercise. I also used to work at a pet retail store for multiple years and have gained a wealth of experience in how best to care for pets. I would love to help give your pet some love and care while you're away! I'm happy to give couch cuddles, play time, walks, and basic needs. I look forward to taking care of your pet and giving them great care!

If I could give Ann 10 stars on a scale of 1-5 I would. She is by far the best dog sitter we've had (and we've had some great ones). They took Jack out all the time for walks, hikes, let him lounge when he wanted, showed him attention...It was a great experience for our dog and very comforting to see all of the photos of their adventures. She's top notch and we'll definitely use again.

Ann is a very knowledgeable and caring person when it comes to taking care of your dog’s needs. I have noticed dogs are comfortable around Ann, because she takes the time for walking and playing, and getting to know your dog. I like how she uses positive reinforcement techniques to control unwanted behavior. She also impressed me with her knowledge about a dog’s nutrition needs and her experience in knowing what to do when a dog becomes ill. Ann’s experience comes from the challenge of raising her own rescue dog, Pepper. She does not deviate from her training and nutrition techniques, and Pepper is a happy, healthy dog as a result. I am confident that any dog under Ann’s care will remain as happy and healthy as Pepper.
Ann is one of the most empathetic, patient and kind people that I have the pleasure of knowing. These traits about her shine when she is caring for dogs - she is always attentive to how her dog (or any dog) is feeling and what they need, making sure they have the correct food, safe toys, proper care and a good place to live. With training, Ann uses positive reinforcement - something that she has taught me a lot about. She believes in encouraging good behavior, instead of punishing bad behavior. I am sure that any dog in her care will feel safe, cared for, loved and comfortable.
