“Kincaid was the best! They helped us in a pinch and were super accommodating. It was clear our pup Walter really liked them, and he got a little extra walk time which was so kind. We would absolutely rebook future walks or drop by visits!”

“Acacia always does a great job of picking up my dog and taking her on walks. I always come home to a very happy pup. Acacia is very dependable and clearly loves dogs. I will certainly have her come walk my dog again in the future.”

“Matthew was great! The wrong address was on file and he still came and walked Kimchi for the full hour. She was nice and tired after and I would definitely recommend!”

“Shianne was fantastic! This was our second booking with Shianne and our dog was so happy to see her! Shianne has everything we would want in a dog walker - clear communication, patience and skill with dogs, warmth and professionalism. I'll definitely look to Shianne any time I can't walk my own dog in the future.”

“Jordan is simply the best! Super communicative, flexible with his schedule, and so good with my dog Tootsie. I’m incredibly grateful to have a reliable and kind walker like Jordan!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for over 10 years, including my own pets as well as pets for friends and family. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your furry family member. Every pet has their own unique personality, and I always take the time to help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a calm companion, I’ll provide personalized care based on their needs and routine. I provide feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, potty breaks, litter box cleaning, and regular photo updates, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is in caring and reliable hands. My goal is to make your pet feel happy, secure, and at home while you’re away. I currently work full-time, but pet care is something I truly enjoy and make time for. I’m available before and after work on weekdays, as well as weekends. I’ll always communicate clearly about my availability and make sure your pet receives reliable, attentive care and plenty of love during every visit. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. I understand that every pet is different, so I’ll always take the time to learn their personality, habits, and any special instructions before each visit. I’m respectful of my clients’ homes and will keep everything clean, secure, and just as I found it. I’ll also send regular photo updates so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away.
About: Hello! I'm a very conscientious and loving pet walker/drop-in sitter who will go above and beyond to make sure your four-legged family member feels safe and loved. I've had dogs and cats my whole life (varying sizes/breeds), and have had a range of experiences with them, including handling medical conditions, training, and making sure they get enough exercise. I also used to work at a pet retail store for multiple years and have gained a wealth of experience in how best to care for pets. I would love to help give your pet some love and care while you're away! I'm happy to give couch cuddles, play time, walks, and basic needs. I look forward to taking care of your pet and giving them great care! I have a flexible remote work schedule most days, so my availability for sitting visits is pretty open! I am available for drop-in visits and walks. When visiting a pet in your home, I am very respectful of your space and focus on making sure your pet is taken care of. I check all food and water bowls, making sure they’re clean, making sure the environment is still safe how you left it, and giving them any needed enrichment like play time, cuddles, walks, etc that you’ve outlined.
“Cooper is always so happy to see Bridgette. He gives a little squel when he sees her coming up the sidewalk. Then, as I close the door, I see him turn to her for a face to face hello and petting. He loves his walks, but he obviously enjoys his personal connection with Bridgette, too. Warms my heart every time!”

“We got a new rescue who was struggling with trust and wouldn’t come out of her crate. Aislynn was very understanding and tried very hard to make her comfortable. She went above and beyond and really cares.”

“Teryx loves Karly and her dog Nova. Karly has always been very dependable and gives us pertinent updates on Teryx’s behavior. We trust that she deeply cares for our dog and understands our needs as dog owners, too. We are lucky to have Karly to be around our dog regularly.”

About: I have 2 years experience being a cat mom, fostering, and TnR. 10 years taking care of cats, little dogs, rodents, bearded dragons, some reptiles and amphibians, fish. I can do senior care. I can do walks, jogs, playtime (no dog parks) with little dogs. Just let me know your wants and needs for your pet baby(ies) and I will say if I can meet them or not. I am available anytime. I can house sit, stay overnight, come over briefly to play or make sure they use the bathroom. I can have time to do short visits too. I have dedicated times for feeding with my own pets, so am used to a regimen of set times. I also assist my partner in medication administration for our elderly cats. Since I will only be offering services outside of my home the following is how I will care for YOUR pets: 1. Provide adequate playtime 2. Scheduled feedings, or adherence to your schedule. 3. Assisting with ongoing training for small dogs, or your other buddy type! 4. Litter cleaning, or poop pickup for dogs. 5. Fun and safe walks. For safety reasons I choose to avoid letting pets I care for interact with other animals during walks (like other dogs), I also prefer not to take them to dog parks. It is with this in mind that I ensure your pet stays safe and has a great time with me! 6. For rodents and other small creatures, I ensure to follow all safety guidelines set by the owner. For lizards I understand many do live feedings, or salads. For rodents/bunnies/etc. I ensure they don't play escape games! I understand their curious nature and ensure that they have time to get to know me slowly. 7. Generally when accepting a new dog client I like to do a meet and greet with the owner, and then a first test visit to ensure the dog feels comfortable with me. This ensures that I and the dog are able to work together well! I want their time with me is amazing! I am patient so understand some dogs take a bit of warming up. This might mean starting visits in the yard for a few times first to build trust.
“Oh my goodness Kirby is super thoughtful. On the 1st day I told Kirby I’d feed Zoey before I left and I forgot. She noticed and fed her. And she was only my dog walker not our house sitter. She always over and above!”

Madeline has been absolutely wonderful with our two dogs, who couldn’t be more different in personality and needs. She’s incredibly attentive, patient, and clearly takes the time to understand each of them individually. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were both cared for in a way that suited them best.

Aislynn was such an awesome walker and would highly recommend her! She took such great care of our dog and cat, and we would book her again in a heartbeat. We were in constant communication and the pictures we got every day were great. Thelma and Bourbon would love to see you again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
